    Do you want an actual vector image made in Illustrator or can I cheat with Photoshop? I have both but I prefer to use Photoshop since I don't Illustrator that much.

    Photoshop is fine. Let me edit that with the shapes thing. You don't have to use illustrator; Photoshop's okay.
