It's official, CartoonNetwork's ******ed.

In my opinion, at least. They've really done it this time.
I have a Transformers update on my Google page, and I saw something for a new TF series on CartoonNetwork. I click the link. I get this description:

Transformers Animated, will be significantly different from previous Transformers series, adding humor, never-before-seen characters and a new premise in which the Autobots fight evil humans in superhero fashion much more frequently than they battle the Decepticons.

In the new Cartoon series, the robots will have a lot more human qualities, allowing kids to identify with the characters much more than in previous series.

The plan is to produce 26 half-hour episodes (two series of 13 episodes), as well as a 90-minute special that will serve as the series premiere. Matt Youngberg (Teen Titans, The Batman) is the supervising director of the series, Sam Register (Teen Titans) will serve as executive producer.

The Story

Arriving on Earth of the future, where robots are common place as humanity's servant class, lead by Optimus Prime, fight against Super-Villans, who are unknowingly working for the Decepticons. Earth's robots have a secret that may doom humanity and their unlikely Autobot saviours.

Sure, they're bringing back the '80s names, but the fact that they look like they belong on Nick Jr. is what disappoints me.

Bingo. What kinda crap is CN trying to pull? I mean, I know the Energon and Cybertron series weren't very successful, so why do they think this'll help? O_o

I hope this series turns into a massive waste of money. Because that's what they deserve for looking at this instant gratification, or so it seems.


Another a side note, the VO's look ****ty. The robots sound like prepubescent teenagers. Great.

THEY'RE GIANT ROBOTS! And besides, since when does a kid look to a cartoon show that's usually on at 6 AM for a role model?

I just saw that Optimus's weapon is an axe. Way to ruin an image. What's Soundwave gonna be, a Barbie Kareoke machine?

 

I thought Optimus always had an Axe? Anyway, this show looks like it sucks. They look like HUMANS!!!

The voices are pretty good, in my opinion....but the show itself......

Also, this doesn't make Cartoon Network the bad guy, it makes WB the badguy, because in the end they are responsible for what shows get created and which channel (WBkids or Cartoon Network) gets the new suck *** show. As for me, yeah, I still watch Cartoon Network, I still like meh pokemanz and other shows like Teen Titans (I watch the reruns).

 

Cartoon Network freakin' failed once Miguzi came in and replaced Toonami.

Um. Anything cartoon network does is stupid, unless it has to do with adult swim. But yea this whole Idea of slave class bullcrap or what ever. It sounds like an excerpt from the animatrix.
