KH-Vids User Awards 2009 - The Winners! [cycle 3+4]

The first thing I'd like to do is thank all of you for your immense support through this whole process. It was long and grizzly (at least for me), and there were a few delays (most of them were my fault) but here we are with nominations and voting completely finished. I obviously could not have done it without you all, as then it would simply be me and the people I haranged into picking winners.

Without further adieu, I'd like to present the winners of the KH-Vids User Awards 2009!:
Cycle 3 Winners
Best Original Story
Quite possibly the hardest story to devise, an original story is just what it sounds like -- everything in it must be created entirely by the author. With forty-one percent of the votes, Vermillion Sunset takes the prize!, closely followed by The Traitor.
Best Video Editor
Video editing is not an easy art. One must put painstaking hours into mere hours of footage, splicing it together sometimes to tell a story, other times just to blow the mind of the viewer. This one was very close, but in the end Stardust took the prize. Props to Obsessed for being our runner-up.
Best Fanfiction
Fanfictions have a reputation for being painfully bad, but the skilled writers on KH-Vids have made a number of fans. Our award for Best Fanfiction goes to A Kingdom Hearts's Alternate Future: Sora and Kairi's Wedding!], followed by fullmetal kingdom.
Whiniest Member
Has there ever been a member that you simply cannot stand to listen to complain? One that seems to post more about what's wrong with their life or this site (or both) than about anything else? This award naturally goes to gintasthebest, who took the steps to create alternate identities and form a confusing suicide/pregnancy circle. A great big whine goes to Flyn Pnut for second place.

Strangest Member
We definitely have our share of weirdies coming to KH-Vids, but none as strange as Jellybeing, someone I can say with completely certainty deserves this award 100%. Though his percentage isn't quite as high, What? still deserves a mention.
Best Poem
We have our fair share of poets on this site, some better than others, but this award goes to the user who seems to devised a poem that seems effortless but still beautifully made: Cin, for his "A Man" poem. I'm hoping this one is a joke, but second place goes to "a poam" by lil woj.
Best Poet
These writers continuously deliver their prose to the site, and KH-Vids just couldn't decide between the two, so we end with a tie between Styx and Shades!
Most Improved Writer
If you compared the works of these two members from months ago and of today, you might not believe that they were written by the same person. In the end, Chevalier was voted our most improved writer, flanked by none other than Obsessed.
Best Graphic Artist
Being a graphic artist is more than slapping a stock on a background and calling it art; it's hard work, and according to you KH-Vids, Laplace has the best gallery across the site! Advent's is pretty remarkable too.
Worst Speller
This award is for the members that you have to wonder if they passed first grade English, or if they have ever heard of a lovely thing called spell check (no, those red lines aren't there just for fun!). lil woj bewildered us all with his all too frequent and sometimes hilarious misspellings; Cloud of darkness' weren't bad either.
Nicest Member
There are some members that you can't help but love. The members that would be the ones to sing with the deer and have little birds help them get dressed in the morning. Jayn seems to fit the category perfectly (although perhaps not my creepy description). Misty's a pretty nice girl too.

Cycle 4 Winners
Best Overall Staff Member
Being a staff member isn't easy work, and the entire team deserves credit for what they do. There is however one staff member who always seems to be around to help and keep things looking tidy. According to you, KH-Vids, that staff member is our former Admin, Catch the Rain. The newest addition to our Admin team, Repliku, takes runner-up for his great work in the past as a super moderator and his recent work as an admin.
Best Super Moderator
There aren't many of those silly grapes running around, but the ones we have do their job beautifully. The winner of the Best Super Moderator award goes to Misty, followed closely by Repliku.
Best Female Member
A popular category indeed, the award for best female member ended with the ever-wonderful Catch the Rain. Our runner-up position ended in a tie between Xaale, Famous, and Pyro.
Best Male Member
A popular category indeed, the award for best male member ended with the ever-wonderful Trigger. Our runner-up position ended in a tie between What? and Repliku.
Best Thread
Countless threads are made each day, but this award is reserved for the best of the best. Our top thread was voted to be KH-Vids Death Note, followed by Rate the Signature and Avatar Above You.
Worst Female Member
Who's that one member (who happens to be of the female variety) that just grinds your gears? According to you KH-Vids, that member is gintasthebest, our runner-up being no other than... spdude?
Worst Thread
Countless threads are made each day, but this award is reserved for the worst of the worst. Our worst thread was voted to be ANYTHING made by Toshi, followed by Dear KH-Vids (CtR's Goodbye).
Best Thread Starter
There are some people who were made to make threads, some who were made to post, and some in the middle. According to you, KH-Vids, the best thread starter is Jube, no doubt for his many trap threads. He's followed only by Cin himself.
Best Musician
A new category to this year's awards, in 2009 many musicians made theirselves known. In the end, Jayn was voted to be the best, our runnerup being Cam.
Best Newbie
What is a newbie, exactly? There is a large dispute over this, however in this case it is used to describe someone relatively new to the site! Our winner doesn't make much sense, but Shade Tail takes the prize, followed closely by The Graceful Assassin.
Best Theorizer
Our Kingdom Hearts sections are littered with theories pertaining to the holes in the games, and the future installments too. Some theories make you wish that the actual game will be as cool as that, and Repliku's certainly do that! What? takes runner-up this time.
Best Premium Member
Perhaps our most popular category this year, our winners need no introduction! The tie for the win went to Cin and Xaale.
Best Coder
Some of the hardest workers we have on this site, our coding team generates a large part of our activity, and rightly so -- the stuff they do is awesome. Carey came out on top, followed by NeoCloudStrife.
Best Normal Member
Our Premium population grows every week, and sometimes it seems as though there are hardly any normies left! But What? is hanging onto his status as a normal member, as is Rissy, and they're both pretty great members.
Weirdest Thread
Just as we have weird members, we've also got some weird threads. The weirdest this year was voted to be the suggestion for a Pornography Section, the runner-up being all of gintas' threads.
Worst Male Member
Who's that one member (who happens to be of the male variety) that just grinds your gears? According to you KH-Vids, that member is TheMuffinMan, our runner-ups being no other than Trigger and spdude.
Best Administrator
An administrator holds the highest rank, status, and respect around this site, and the winners need no introduction, for they are names known to all. Congratulations goes to Catch the Rain, for being voted best administrator, followed by none other than the severely understated Identity Theft.
Best Sectional Moderator
Sectional moderators do a lot of little work that you may not notice now, but you can't imagine what things would be like without them! Our winner for best sectional moderator is DPWolf, with a special mention to Styx.
Best AMV
A popular category indeed, this award goes to the member who displayed ace editing skills in a video -- and the award goes to Magick, followed by Hayabusa.
Worst Staff Member
It's no shock at all who won this prize, a member who has generated a lot of hate on this site -- I bring you spdude, for his buying-the-site-then-disappearing actions!

These awards killed what little of my ego was left. T^T

lol j/k Congratulations to the winners. That was totally not a Freudian slip because I had time to edit my thoughts before releasing them to the entire world for review, consideration, or ignoring.

Now that I'm on this track, why not explore the possibilities of thought editing. If every thought on the internet was edited then everyone would have complete control over what they were posting and thus none of it would be completely and totally honest because it would be altered or abridged to make it more acceptable to the given audience. Even someone with no affinity for reading a crowd would be able to do this. That would mean that everyone is really an idealized form of themselves. Well, that would be if that were true which it might not be since there is no way of determining the veracity of anyone's statements or comments. There is also the fact that people self edit in real life just to a lesser degree. They can change what they think first thing to what they say first thing, making it a thought out response rather than a raw reaction. That makes me wonder how well I know anyone really. Seaking in lies or in truths isn't something that has a general leaning. Many have a tendency to embroider a story or exaggerate an anecdote. There are also many surgeries today meaning you don't even know if a person's physical appearance is real. But real is a mere perception. There are facts but human facts that haven't got perfect evidence are only given meaning by impressions, perceptons, and opinions. So the world could really be totally different from how I think it is and I wouldn't know the difference because I spend more than seven hours a a day reading manga on my computer. Yes, that was Seaking that you read.
