A Princess' Curse

"Who says you need a prince, the council only want to sell out the kingdom to savethem selves. The soldiers of this country will never stand for it. Once you are old enough you are queen and you have the power to pick what you want. Not a bbunch of corrupt selfish nobles" Marcus offered out a hand towards the princcess.

 

" But you guys don't get it, in order to become queen, I have to marry and the City Council won't care how selfish a tyrant the man will be, as long as it insures them power and protection, they won't care what my views about it are. I have met some of those suitors Marcus, I hate their up tight personalities, they see me nothing more then the mother of their heirs."
Claurice said taking the hand of Marcus and walking towards him.
" They won't care if I like the guy or not, they will pick the most beneficial of the bunch."

 

"You didn't hear, tradition dosen't matter. We will not let our country be ruled by a tyrant. I guess you could say is if we have to we will "remove" the council from power, you are the rightful ruler and marriage dosen't matter. In the oldest traditions of our country marriage wasn't even heard of" he said leading her to his horse.

 

" But Our country's peaceful and freedomful tradition doesn't matter anymore Marcus, this is the world today. The world is not ruled by tradition and honor anymore, its ruled by laws and greed. Go breaking some laws and that won't help anybody."
She said standing by his horse and running her fingers through his mane.

((alrite, it's been awhile since I rp'd, I just posted a big @ss bio, and I'm pretty sure I just sorta placed my character into a big role that I'm guessing I should be getting your permission from to even have that kinda part. but if it's accepted then I think i've got a few idea's that I wouldn't mind talken about ^^; ))

Name: Sir Lloyd Crosar

Age: 19

Weapon: In normal situations, he uses a special pair of claw like gauntlets. They are gloves with a fine, strong leather on the inside to ensure safety for the hands. Covering that is a fine rubber which allows liquids to run off of it without touching the leather. On the outside they are covered with metal plates. There are metalic claws where the fingers are. On the top of each one there is a compartment where specialized capsules can be placed, which usually hold poisens. There is a point within this compartment which pokes a hole in these capsules, allowing the poisen to carefully drip onto the claws, making them quite deadly.
He also has a single piece of one of the gauntlets replicated, so as during an under cover mission, he would be able to easily place it on without much notice in order to assasinate a person. This is rarely used though.

Relations: His sister is the only family that remains. An actual victem of the plague of Porsquelem, who still barely remains. All other relatives deceased *victems of the plaque*

Bio/Personality: Him and his sister originally were both members of the Narlatine army. They served as spy's, something of a "family tardition", posted in the Porsquelem Kingdom. They were born in Porsquelem, due to their parents original duty's to spy on the kingdom, taking residence there as normal citizens. After the last great war, they had been ordered to stay there so as to observe in order to inform of any signs of weakness. But when the plague came, it claimed both of his parents lives, leaving only him and his sister left over the years. They both seemed quite lucky when it came to their health for the majority of the time. Lloyd provided for him and his sister, doing small jobs for store managers and such, delivering goods across town, truelly minor tasks given to him until he could get a job.
At home he would practice skills as a fighter with his sister at night, doing as his parents had always instructed of them as to ensure that their skills would remain sharp, for when their kingdom may one day call upon them.
Towards the end of the worst of the plague, his sister was struck with the illness, being forced to stay in bed. Being the last bit of family left to Lloyd, he obtained a local job at the pub, listening for any rumors of some form of cure to the plague. It was then one day that he heard some men speak of a supposed cure which the Narlatien's had developed for such an illness. A "miracle cure".
The result of the rumor lead him to go to Narlatine, whilst leaving his sister in the care of a neighbor whom had the kindness to help take care of his sister. Upon visiting, he was quickly captured due to "misconduct", disobeying an unfamiliar law. Whilst in jail, when the Warden learned of Lloyd's full name, he was released, and sent to see the King of Narlatine himself. After explaining his situation to the king, though the king knew not of where rumors of any form of "miracle cure" may have come from, he saw the opportunity to manipulate the boy due to his localization in the town of which he grew up in. He gave him a mission to join the guard, and to attempt to get as close to the Princess as possible and to observe her constantly. He explained his plans to Lloyd, at least the parts that would be needed to ensure that he would do his mission correctly, and informed him that if ever a time came where he may in fact be able to capture the Princess, then he were to take immediate action, only if he knew that he would succeed. In return, he would be given this "miracle cure" for his sister, or so the King said.
Two years later from these events, after entering the army, now serves as one of the most promising members of the Guard, and though rarely seeing the Princess, tends to recieve more important jobs then most, such as now, as he has been assigned as one of the guards to be at the Princess's birthday party.

Though most wouldn't think it with his history, he tends to be quite the flirt, and acts the role of the fool at times, in order to keep up appearances amongst others, as he was always taught to by his parents. Though it has become some what a part of his personality, he is always serious whenever it comes to business, and can be intellegent when he needs to be. He does have a competative side and cannot back down from any challenge.

The squad Marcus had ridden with earlier to the Misty Inbetweens rode up outside the memorial after taking a breather at where camp was set. With them was Sir Casper's attendants as well. They were intending on going home finally but they did seem a little ruffed up with a battle that had taken place a few paces off with a few of those so called domesticated monsters that belong to Narlatine. On the trail behind them came a group of unfamiliar faces wearing sets of well crafted armor, on their breast plates they wore the imperial crest of Valmaria. The only man who wasn't wearing the silvery armor was the Prince they had been escorting with them. It had seemed the Porsquelem company had pulled the Valmarian company out of deep trouble while they were on the road.

The Young Prince of Valmaria seemed not much older then nineteen, he had shoulder length dirty blonde hair and close to crimson eyes, his youthful and soft pale face seemed to beam amongst the crowd of hardy and roughly scathed warriors that accompanied him. The three parties came to a halt near Marcus and the Porsquelem guard dismounted and allowed their horses to graze as they took the chance to recover from the tussle. So did most of the Valmarian knights, but the prince remained seated upon his tall palomino colored stallion. A slight sly smile on his face, typical of a teen boy who had eyed something interesting. He finally dismounted off his horse and wandered over to Marcus and Claurice. As he walked he seemed to adjust his long black coat and orange scarf that lay about his neck.

" Why hello there, what a pleasant view I find here, the sparse warm spring blooms of the mist that dot this meadow do seem quite elegant and beautiful, but none are as beautiful as this rare flower from the snow laden lands."
The prince said as he kneel down and kissed Claurice's hand, all these flirtatious words didn't seem to get through to her. She was more puzzled then flattered.
"I'm completely sorry I didn't even try to introduce myself. I'm Prince Alex from the land of Valmaria. It's no surprise you don't know who I am since you live so far away. So you must be the lovely princess Claurice, I take it? I can tell by the dramatic icy cyan color of your eyes. Eye Color like that is considered very rare in Valmeir, but so far I've heard you are one of the few who bear it besides the elven people of the woods."
Claurice looked to Marcus with a questionable look and looked back down at the flirty prince.
" Indeed you are right, let me guess you have come all the way out here for my birthday party I take it?"

 

Rath had dismounted off his horse and walked towards the others. He preferred to have ridden straight back to Valmaria, but decided he needed to do what was best for the prince's safety and stick with the Porsquelem knights. The safety of not only the prince but his fellow comrades were his responsibility and it was a responsibility he took seriously. Upon hearing the prince's flirtatious advances, Rath could not help but close his eyes and sigh "do you really have to flirt with her" Rath muttered

 

" Yes I have come from far away just to attend, as well as many other nobles. But I hope I'm one who you favor the most today. Because there are many other strapping young boys, but none are as fond of you as me. I shall leave you alone to talk to your Sir Knight."
He said standing up and walking back over to the area where his company was stationed when he got there Alex sat next to Rath in the emerald carpet of the earth and smiled at him with a satisfied smile.

" It was all I could do, anyways if you are going to win a girl's fancy of you, you must first get her to notice you, if she doesn't know who you are then you surely would loose. But I think the other princes will realize that and try to converse with her themselves. In order to get a few squares ahead of them I need to observe Claurice and find out things about her so I will know what to converse with her about next time and before you know it she will fall for me easily, all of it simply easy as game of logic."

 

Rath crossed his arms "you focus yourself too much on women. It would do you much better if you trained yourself more in combat" Blade said and sighed "although these are nothing more than words of a knight ho has sworn to fight. Just don't over do it with the girl" Blade said

 

The young prince seemed to not be effected by the honorable knight's words but seemed to be occupied with admiring the rings on his hand, especially the ruby ring with the royal crest upon it which signified his nobility.
" Aye don't worry, I know my way around women. With this handsome face and extraordinary lineage, I don't expect much more to happen. You worry yourself over me too much, more then my father ever has for me. Anyways snagging myself a queen won't be so hard, since from what I heard Porsquelem is in a bit of trouble. They are so desperate for a king, they would be begging me to take the position.

 

"overconfidence can blind a person. You must remember that not everybody will be smitten by your charm or your bloodline. You also sound like your more interested in the position as king more than the woman herself" Rath said looking down at the prince he was told to guard

 

Alex smiled and laid himself down on his back on the soft sheets of grass and stared at the partially cloudy sky above where the rarely missed morning sun of the Misty inbetweens managed to peek through.
" Indeed I do want this position Rath, but the princess is a rare find as well. I was expecting her to be wrinkly and frail from being out in the snow for so long, since I noticed she hadn't been married right away yet."

 

"I.... am so.... bored..." Lloyd said, kicking at the snow.
Obviously for appearances, he had to keep his own sharpness on a bit of a downlow, amongst the gaurds as well as the newly aquired crowd to their little group.

Lloyd had been sent to accompany the princess and until now had been quiet, attempting to get an idea of his new so called "comrades", really only seeking the chance to learn how to get close to them. He knew that he wasn't a suspicious character to begin with due to his past, but it was extremely important of him still attempt to get close to the other already high ranked gaurds, to ensure his favor amongst them.

His attention was soon caught by the prince's attempts to charm the princess, which had been obviously failing horribly. His eyes followed the prince as he left, a small chuckle escaping from his lips. "Wow. The guys got class, wealth, kingminship material, and a whole army at his disposal. The perfect ladies man, and he's tryen to get with the princess to..."
He could not help but allow his grin to show, as he muttered to himself,
"Tryen to get to princess of the anti-socials, that guys gonna crash and burn..."

Razael was walking out of the elven woods for the first tome to go to the grat kingdom of porsqulem to help join the army there he'd been traveling for five days now and was a days walk from the border
