Something landed you in prison. It could have been a minor offense but chances are it was something big, violent. Assault or even murder. Some of you may have even been on death row. Those who were remained there until their sentence was carried out. Those who weren't got into a prison fight or something else happened that inevitably lead to their death.

Or at least, as far as the public knows, this is what happened. But in reality the deaths were faked. The reason for this is because from the moment you step foot into that jail Division had their eyes on you. Or who knows, maybe they were watching long before that. Either way they came, drugged you, and took you away.

Upon waking you find yourself in a room with a stranger. They tell you they were once like you, a criminal and lost in the world. However just like you they were presented a second chance thanks to Division, Division being a secret U.S. government organization responsible for a numerous variety of black-ops operations. And under them you can serve your country. That or they will kill you, so the choice was clear.

And now you serve them. If you do so happily, then great for you. If not then...well, no one has escaped from their clutches before but could you be the first? If you do get out...could you run forever? Or instead of running would you fight back? It would be against impossible odds but who knows, maybe you will find unexpected allies along the way. Though trend carefully, those who claim to be friends may just end up stabbing you in the back...

    • Do not contact anyone from your past. They will be terminated if you do and you will possibly be canceled.
    • Division is secret for a reason. Expose the secret and you will be canceled.
    • No romantic relationships are allowed with fellow recruits or agents. Either one or both participating members could be canceled.
    • Escape attempts will not be tolerated.
    • Orders must be followed.
    • Recruit - This is the first rank that a person can enter in service to Division. While a person is a recruit their normal day will consist of training in hand to hand combat, strength, agility, weapon use, demolition, etiquette, languages, and technology. Recruits will also be occasionally activated for missions to gain experience in the field, though unless activated they are not allowed to have weapons or leave the base. They are awarded prizes like TVs and radios for high marks and missions done well which cannot be traded or given away. Their rooms are also checked regularly. They then graduate after about 2 or 3 years of training. If they fail to graduate they are canceled.
    • Field Agent - This the stage that most recruits take after their graduation so they can go out on missions. They can also participate in the training or preparation of recruits or their first missions. While field agents are not on any missions they live normal civilian lives, though are always being monitored by a chip located in their hips. Cutting it out will mark them as rogue and they will be hunted.
    • Tech - There are agents that have more talent with technology than most others and were therefore chosen to run the day to day technology of Division. Techs also supervise missions from operations, hack any servers as well as security cameras and communicate with agents while on mission via Bluetooth or cochlear implants.
    • Guard - This is also another role that division recruits can take after graduating. Recruits that are chosen to be guards are known to show leadership qualities, as well as being able to control other recruits. Guards continue to stay inside Division after their graduation to keep the recruits under control.
    • Cleaner - Cleaners are some of divisions most deadly agents; they are the ones who clean up kills made by division field agents. They can make the scene look like a robbery, or an accident or even suicide. They also often have more advanced hand to hand combat and weapon use training than ordinary field agents.
    • Reaper - Agents that kill without any remorse. They are the ones that cancel other division agents and they kill an agent's loved ones.
    • No god-modding, meta-gaming, or anything of the sort.
    • Don't kill someone else's character without their permission.
    • Most everyone will be a recruit unless permission to be something else. Though there will be two field agents and guard slots though, just first come first served. Could end up as two agents, two guards, or one of each depending on what is taken. More will open up in the future. (One role per person so someone won't snatch up both.)
    • If someone is waiting on you to post for a week or longer they will be able to move on without. This doesn't mean you are not allowed to wait for someone, you are just free not to.
    • There will be some advanced tech but nothing too out there.
    • RP rated PG-16.
    • Rules will be added if needed. If you think one should be put here then please feel free to say so.
    • And as always I am open to questions from making your ocs to any point in the rp.

Before Division Lily was not a morning person. She woke up so slow and groggy, causing a bitter resentment for mornings. However, thanks to their strict routines, she now had a fresh start to every day. There was even time for her to spare before their seven am free reign training session, allowing her to actually take her time as she got ready unlike her first month here where everything was rushed.

So to start she entered the bathroom, which was connected to her room just like every other room, to shower and brush her teeth before going to dress, which shouldn't take long as there weren't many choices. Nothing but work out clothing after all. And to top it off there were only three colors for everything; white, grey, and black. At least they didn't have uniforms, though with only grey jackets for everyone it almost felt as if they did. It was so bland. Though Lily would admit their choices were better than the guards who seemed limited to an all black attire.

Either way she ended up choosing a white tank top and black sweats before checking her CD player to see if she had remembered to put the CD back in its case the night before. She didn't. With a sigh she took it out and moved to the pile of cases to return it to its proper place, thinking about how much she missed MP3 players while she did this. But they weren't allowed anything with a computer chip since, with their training, who knew what they could do with it.

Both of these things caused the longing to graduate to grow. Better looking clothes, phones, iPods, and anything else she could think of would be hers again. She could even get a pet dog. But she hadn't even been activated for her first mission yet and today made it a year since Division took her. Nearly everyone had their first mission a year in. So would today be her day? If it wasn't then worry would set in as it was either mission-time or cancellation. Though that was just paranoia, because surely there would be more time after the year mark. But the sooner the better...

Sweating from the overload of thoughts Lily grabbed her jacket and tied her hair back before exiting the room, heading to the sparing room. Once there she nodded to a guard who moved so she could walk down the stairs to join those already there. Normally she trained on her own, but perhaps she would grab a partner today. Before deciding though she turned to look at the giant window behind the training dummies, wondering who was in Operations at the moment. Was the boss himself there? It was impossible to tell, as the glass was tinted so they couldn't see in. But the agents and techs could see out, causing Lily to believe that their training time was less of a way for them to warm up for the day and more so those in charge could watch them, checking their progress. She would have to show them she was mission worthy, somehow. She should probably start by not just standing there and staring at the glass, so she moved to the dummy, warming up on it while still debating if she would find a sparing partner for the day or not.

Her deep brown eyes flashed open. It was cyclical. She didn't even need the alarm anymore. Her body had been trained so well. Knowing the time took no effort. Her internal clock was synced perfectly with that of the universal time. She rolled over, staring at the faded red numbers- waiting, waiting, waiting. [6:00] There. Her finger pressed the off button as the alarm began to sound. She would have none of it. That infernal beeping drove her mad. Azrael, as she was now called, jumped out of bed and hurried off to the bathroom. She had a system. It was down pact. Everything took a specific amount of time. As long as she adhered to her schedule, she would be fine.

    [6:13]
Azrael stood in a towel brushing her teeth. Water dripped down from her hair and onto her bare shoulders, trickling slowly down the length of her body. She spit the toothpaste out into the sink and rinsed her mouth. A yellow pill bottle sat on the smooth counter and she ran her fingers down the length of it until reaching the bottle. Another part of her schedule. Every morning at the same time. It was safest that way. She pressed down on the white child safety cap and twisted. The bottle tipped downwards and a single pill rolled out onto her hand. Azrael tossed it back without anything to wash it down. What was the point?

    [6:48]
She was dressed in black sweatpants and a gray tank top. Her hair was pulled back into a low hanging bun and prepared to start the day. She had twelve minutes before the seven a.m training started, as always. Azrael left the room to get a light pre-workout snack. Arriving in the training room at precisely [6:58]. She made her way past the guard, her elbow brushing against his arm. Neither of them paid any mind to it and she continued down into the room. Briefly, she stared at her reflection in the large mirrored wall- although, she knew perfectly well that it wasn't actually a mirror.

She sat down on a mat and began to stretch. Glancing over, she saw Lily nearby. How long had she been here now- about a year? She pursed her lips and waved the other girl over. "Hold my feet for me?" she asked. Azrael laid back on the mat with her arms crossed over her chest and needs pointed upwards in preparation for situps.

Some things would never change. A daily routine, not wanting to get up in the morning, or seeing the same dull room everyday. These were everything that Cross had gotten used to. Not that he had must of a choice in the long run. This was the new life he was given and he would just have to suck it up and get used to it. Moving off his bed, he started phase one of his day, showering and getting dressed. Neither one took long to do at all. So when he stepped out of the bathroom, he went to his closet and put on a white shirt and gray pants. Though their options were limited, might as well make the best of it. Leaving his room, he make his way to the sparring room. The guard paid him no attention as he walked by, leaving him to look around and see who else was there. He spotted Arazel and Lily, but had no intentions of speaking with them. Instead he walked over to the training dummy and proceeded to beat on it.

Everyone always wanted something. To her, there was no such thing as a simple request. Even if it was so at the time it could just be the first domino in a chain of events leading to something they hoped would end in their favor. This was something Lily learned before even coming to Division.

So when she heard Azrael her mind went to work on what this could be. The possibilities were so limited though that it was hard to see the other girl's angle here. Maybe she just wanted to be seen as one who works well with others, as that was a trait the higher ups liked to see. In fact, it was almost a necessity.

It didn't matter if Azrael wished to use her here though as she was already looking for someone for the very same reason as one of her assumptions. So in the end it would work out for her. With this reassurance she moved over to the other, sitting before them before holding down the girl's feet. And while she would have been comfortable in silence it felt like a conversation ought to be had here.

    "This should be satisfactory, right?"

It was morning. David was awaken by his alarm clock; he had a dream about this girl that he don't remember who she is again. He went into the shower and he put on his cloths on, blue jeans and a white shirt, then he went out to the cafeteria. He see Wesley and Lily and sit next to them. They had a conversation; David told them about the dreams he been having and Wesley said "it might be your soul mate XD" Lily punch him in the shoulder and told David "maybe it's a old friend that you didn't see in a while" David not sure; he just ate and went to the sparring room.

    is this good or what?

Azrael waited for Lily to arrive at her feet before lifting her body up to her knees. Up and down, floor to knees, she went. After a minute or two, the other girl finally spoke, breaking the silence between them. It would have been nice to keep things quiet, but they wouldn't get anywhere not speaking to one another. "This should be satisfactory, right?" She stopped when her elbows reached her knees and forced a smile onto her usually scowling face.
"Perfect," was all she said to the other girl. Azrael like to keep to herself. She enjoyed spending her time alone, beating the hell out of the punching bags. Company was not something she kept in years. The last people she had been close to- well, they weren't exactly around anymore. She grunted, letting out a breath of hot air, then fell back to the ground. And up. "So," she started as her shoulders hit the floor mat, "what did they get you for?" She had never been a fan of small talk and had never been exceptionally good at it, but when in Rome. A strand of hair fell in her face and she blew on it, only to have it fall back down, tickling her eyes.
Azrael stopped briefly and tucked the lock neatly away under the rest of her hair before gesturing for she and Lily to trade places. "Your turn."

It had been strongly suggested to them to leave their pasts where it was, behind them. Thinking back on it would only cause a longing to return to it or a sense of regret for leaving loose ends. That was the motto they always heard anyway. Though it couldn't be bad to discuss this, right? Because surely no one wished to go back to jail.

"Had a kidnapping episode. What about you?"

She then nodded at the gesture to trade places before doing so, waiting for Azrael to get her feet before starting her own set of sit-ups. In mid-process of doing one she noticed something moving towards Ops and paused the work out to get a better look.

Vincent was walking by. It wasn't something strange in of itself, as the man in charge of this particular Division base had to keep up-to-date with everything going on. But his expression showed signs of anger. That was never a good sign.

"Had a kidnapping episode. What about you?" Azrael nodded, only half listening. Neither of them were going to delve into their life stories, and that was fine by her. So she kidnapped someone, big whoop. Azrael sighed as Lily took position on the mat. Her attention drifted to the side momentarily as Vincent walked by. What was he doing here? She pressed her lips together into a fine line and returned her attention to Lily. What about me? What could she say without giving it away? She decided to play it off cooly. It's not like it matters to her anymore anyway.
"Oh, you know. The usual. Quadruple homicide, drugs, etc, etc." She waved her hand to feign dramatics, then returned it back to Lily's shoe. She wasn't really a joking type- she took everything a little too seriously-, but joking about it seemed like the only way to brush it off. Azrael just hoped that Lily would show her the same courteousness that she showed her by not asking any further. It was a story she cared not to tell. She had managed to get over it a long time ago, but it still wasn't something pleasant to think about. She held both of Lily's feet in one hand and used the other to wipe the lingering sweat off of her brow. Being here has really reshaped her body. She had always been rather thin, but now she was toned and muscular to boot.

She would have been polite enough not to pry into the other recruit's life but Azrael would not see that for herself as a guard stepped out of Operations and called for her. Wesley was also sought after. So there went her chance for a sparing partner, because one try at conversation was enough for her.

Sighing she sat up, getting to her feet. "Good luck and all that."

That girl always did look like one of the tougher ones, but Lily had not expected to hear quadruple homicide. Now she regretted only saying kidnapping, as she sounded weak in comparison. It was already apparent enough, the other being here a year longer already. That meant more training. It could only be a matter of time before she made agent, leaving Lily behind in a trail of dust. How unfair. The only hope she had at being better if she ranked higher in some skills.

None of this really mattered though. It was time to move on. So with that thought she wandered off, returning to one of the training dummies that she then began punching. She hoped there was gun training today. Schedules were constantly changing around here so it was impossible to tell which lessons they were going to get. The only thing that stayed the same was this free training period and breakfast which came after, though sometimes even those got thrown around. So all she really could do was hope for the best.

Now that was an interesting end. Grimm stuffed one of his gloves into his pocket as he looked over his handiwork. The agent he had been tasked with snuffing out had proven to be quite elusive. Especially since this one had no living family left. Still, with his skill even the best agents had no chance of ever escaping. The scene was sickeningly hilarious. "Death by cereal. Well, you could have prevented that by eating it dry." He had laced the milk with a nearly untraceable poison, disposed of the carton that the dead agent had poured from, and replaced it with an untampered open carton. There was just enough poison to kill the man with heart-attack-like symptoms but not enough to be found in an autopsy. The replacement carton of milk did the job of making everything seem normal. It looked like it had been used recently, it had the agent's fingerprints on it, and was half full...or half empty for the pessimistic.

"Aren't you a little old to be eating Fruit Loops anyways?" This was the most important step in his method. The ritualistic mocking of his victim. Now that it was over and done with as well as all the fine details being in place, Grimm left the apartment and patted himself on the back on a job well done.

"You know, you learn faster by hitting something that moves. Like the guards around here for instance. They really don't like to be ticked off." Wesley spoke as he passed by Lily. "They hit harder than plain old recruits too." There was a story behind all this that he felt like sharing, but now was not the time. He had heard that someone was looking for him. People around Division didn't like to be kept waiting. It was a pity too since he wanted to get in a bit more training this morning. He hadn't gotten on anyone's nerves recently, so punishment couldn't have been in order. This only made him curious. Very curious. 'Maybe I'm up for promotion.'

As Wesley passed he spoke to her. Something about the guards... Had he fought with them before? The agents here did partake in sparring as they were there to train them, but the guards never seemed to join in. Not normally anyway. So did he start a fight? An interesting thought.

But there was no time to ask about it as he kept moving. That was good in regrades to her having to thank him for the advice or something along those lines, as it was not welcomed. She listened to it. But it still wasn't welcomed. There was a downside, as she was left to wonder what he had meant. Either way...

Looking over she noticed Cross at another dummy. Moving over to him she went in for a request.
    "Wanna go a round?"

Cross was paying no particular attention to what was going on inside the training room, he merely just continue to beat on the dummy. "Wanna go a round?" Cross ceased his assault on the dummy to see who spoke to him. Who he saw was Lily. An actual person would be better than a dummy, mainly because it would be so one sided. "Sure." As he walked away from the dummy, he waited Lily to do the same before getting ready.

Their menial conversation was cut short by the sound of a guard asking for Azrael to follow along. She glanced over at Wesley who had also been chosen. What could they want from them? Was it another mission? It had certainly been a long while since her last one. It would be a treat to get out of the confines of the facility that held Division. "Good luck and all that." She wondered why it was only the two of them. There were plenty of other recruits that would be good as well. Were they considered the best then? She kind of hoped so. It would mean a lot to stand out- to be viewed as the best.
Azrael nodded at Lily and gave her a quick wave goodbye. "Mm. You too." Wesley stopped to say something to Lily, but she paid it no mind. Right now, her focus was to follow the guard. Keeping people waiting in Division was highly frowned upon and only ended badly. She pulled the light wind breaker over her shoulders and zipped it up the front. Azrael pulled her hair out of the ponytail and ran her fingers through the long black hair. working out always made it frizzy and she wanted to smooth out the fly-away hairs. She wrapped the locks of hair around her fingers and pulled it into a braid over her shoulder. Azrael leaned over to Wesley and whispered, "do you know what they want with us?"

Good, he complied. She moved over to the mats once it was clear and grabbed a pair of gloves to put on. An optional thing but one she liked and always went with.

Once she was ready she looked over Cross. They had been here for the same amount of time now and yet she knew little of him. This was her fault for not studying the other recruits unless they crossed her path, but she hoped to amend that now. After all it used to be her specialty, knowing everyone and what made them ticked. However once she arrived to Division she was bombarded with all these things to learn and the worry about being canceled. But now she could slow down and focus on this little...side task.

"A simple round okay? First person who falls to the mat loses. You can make the first strike."

Cross nodded at the terms of there match. Short and simply. Made completing this task a whole lot easier without so much to think about. Still, he couldn't shake the feeling that their was a secondary reason behind her wanting to spar with him. Throughout his time here with Division, he hasn't bother to speak with anyone else here unless they spoke to him first. Maybe that was it. Maybe she wanted to learn more about him. It didn't matter to him to much anyway, there wasn't anything to hide. Though these thought would have to wait for later as he went in for the first attack.

His starting move was more direct than she'd imagine, but well enough. Easy to dodge though. She could have grabbed his arm instead of side-stepping, but the last time she did that the one she was fighting ended up with a dislocated shoulder and broken wrist. These things happened often enough to be overlooked, but the amount of times it happened from her was a bit excessive so she was told to tone it down a notch. Lucky for Cross.

Either way, no thinking about anything other than the fight here. She needed to focus.

So once she moved to the side she went from behind to see if she could pull of a sweeping kick. That would end things quickly without the need for either to get hurt.

To be honest, Cross was glad that she'd avoided his first attack. It was a simple one at that, one normally used to gauge his opponent's skills. Though, considering that she's here in Division, there was no need to do that anyway. Though the sweep kick was unexpected, he was left with two options. Dodge or lose. Choosing the obvious chose, he jumped over the leg. Now the only problem was trying to block her next attack, assuming he didn't hit the ground before she could react.

Wesley shrugged at Azrael's question. He had no idea that she was called in like he was until now. Though as they walked, he began make sense of why they were picked. If it had been punishment, why would she be going with him? Azrael was...better behaved than he was. "I think they're inviting us to a nice dinner." He joked, shaking his head at his own humor. "Now that you're here, I'm pretty sure it has to be something good. Fifty bucks says it's a promotion." He smirked, clasping his hands together behind his back as he continued forward. If he was right, and he was sure he was, it was going to be a good day. Wesley looked over at Azrael and back forward again. He had been at Division longer than she was. The fact that he was just getting promoted now made him wonder why it had taken so- 'Oh right. That thing with the guards must have ticked off higher ups. Oops. My bad.'

    OOC: Short post ftw.

No matter how good a recruit was they were to act as nothing more than support on whatever mission they were sent on. The main targets were left for the agents, especially on kill jobs. At most they could take out a guard or two. This was so they could not ruin the mission, but it also allowed them to put off them killing anyone for their graduation test.

This is what Azrael and Wesley were called for now.

Vincent smiled at the two as they entered. Other than these three there was techs sitting at their computers and two field agents in suits, Paul and Sara, both of which stood at attention in front of Vincent. "Good morning, recruits."

Sara, a slender red head, turned and handed each of them a folder, leaving one for herself. It had a blank cover but its tab was tilted "Operation: Double Team." Inside were pictures of the targets, John Weston and Isabella Williams, as well as blueprints of their mansion and security details.

"It is a rare opportunity where two recruits may graduate on the same mission so let's make the most of this, shall we?" The chances of one or neither of them returning were high enough for him to save any speeches until after they had returned so the briefing was always rather short, especially with most details on a need-to-know basis and the rest in the files. However this time he felt nice enough to give a little more. "The daughter of a pair of arms dealers is getting married this weekend, opening their estate to guests for the first time in years. The loving parents are also using the wedding as a cover to sell their wares which may include a missile. And naturally we must secure something so deadly. On top of that someone we've been looking for a while has popped up on the guest list. That gives us two objectives, find the armory and take down the targets. Both must be done with little disturbance to the wedding as well. If you have any questions feel free to ask them now before moving on to Sophia who will give you the clothes you need as well as more information on your respective targets."

Sophia's office had large white double doors leading into it that were located in the hallway past the sparing room, separating it from the recruits' rooms. It had the same walls as the rest of the place - grey stone - but was furnished with a soft white carpet, a vanity, a white chair and matching sofa across with a glass table in-between the two, a rack of clothes and a screen for people to change behind. It was a very clean and neat office, matching the woman who it belonged to.
