Sapphira was swimming above a castle. She then headed towards one of the biggest rooms and let go off Phenox. Sapphira bowed in front of her Father. "Father, King Ohsus. This man saved my life." Ohsus looked at Phenox. "He's a human. Why have you brought him here?!"

 

"allow me to explain. i'm not human. i'm god." Phenox smiled

 

Oshus frowned and swam down to Phenox. "Oh really? Prove it." Sapphira swam next to her Father. "He walked on water. When my pearls got stuck in some rocks and was strangling me, he made them disappear with ease." Oshus looked at Sapphira. "Still prove it."

 

Phenox laughed. "how so? got any problems that need fixed?"

 

Oshus nodded. "Merpeople live mainly off of plants. Our best crops were cut down by humans, building something but they abandoned the project leaving us the clear away everything and start the crops again. Clear that all away and give us brand new crops fresh for harvesting and i'll believe you."

 

Phenox tilted his head. "that's all? okay." he looked at the crops. there were 2 flashes and brand new crops appeared.

 

Oshus blinked and then looked back at Phenox. He smiled and bowed to him. "Excuse my rudeness before. Many people like to come and say that they're God so I had my guard up." Sapphira smiled. "I told you so." Oshus swam back on his throne. "Thank you for rescuing my daughter."

 

Phenox smiled. "it's no problem."

 

"I'll take him back to land now, Father." Sapphira bowed and took Phenox's hand, swimming away.

 

Phenox gave a small wave.

 

Sapphira swam back to the surface and pulled up onto a rock. "Thank god we got away in time......"

 

Phenox sat on the rock. "what do you mean? and you're welcome."

 

Sapphira pulled a face. "I-I'M SORRY! It just slipped out....." She sighed. "Father had a glint in his eye. My other sisters were resuced by other mermen and he talked to them afterwards. A couple of months later they would be married. I didn't want that to happen to you so I got us away as soon as possible."

Sapphira went crimson. "No! No you wouldn't... It would mean you'd be stuck under the sea and you would be busy with the affairs and...... and..... you don't love me......." She turned away.

 

"nonsense. i love you like a father loves his child." he smiled.

 

"Thats fatherly love then...." sapphira got off the rock and swam towards the shore.

 

Phenox walked on the water. "as god, i must love my children equally. the good... and the bad."

 

"Thats also a reason why I got us out of there. So you wouldn't have to marry a daughter." Sapphira got to the beach and sat on the sand. She held the pendant on her necklace and she started to glow.
