Airi and Jerrod were both speechless. People they just met killing each other?
"Errr-" Airi tried to start a sentence, but stopped.
"I know what you're thinking Airi." Jerrod looked at his rider, "I'm thinking the same thing."
"Yeah." Airi replied, "Killing people you just met, awful."

I apologise... we fell behind. I just couldn't keep up. Azul flew mightily through the air, and spoke his apology directly into the mind of his Rider, Faina.
It isn't your fault. Vanilor has Two Hundred and Fifty Four years on you. He is bigger, faster and more experienced. If anything... Faina tried to comfort her companion before he himself finished her sentence.
It benefits us as it means we certainly were not noticed.
Faina stayed silent at this... getting lost in her own thoughts, Azul also observing her musings through their mental connection.
She had been sent to DeweldenVarden as a representative of the Riders. The Queen had recently passed away and they were electing a new leader. Since Faina's mother was an important figure to the Elf people, Faina had been requested to attend in her mother's place. Obviously, Faina's mother had disappeared when the girl was one one year old, but Faina still had a duty to represent her mother, and the fact she was a Rider was also important.
This also happened to work in Eragon's favour. The Teachers and Elder's were all too busy to be sent on a long journey right now, even on such an important one, and Faina being a student was therefore the logical and perfect choice as a representative to give good blessings and commiserations to the Elven people.
...There was something that didn't make sense though, and that was Risit's appearance in the Elf capital.
Faina was positive that the Elder hadn't had permission to be there from Eragon. Furthermore... he would have had no reason to be there... so why was he?
That was why when he had departed, which had been conveniently when Faina's business there was also concluded, she had followed after him in secret, trying not to be noticed, and as a result... quickly falling behind.
    Faina... can you smell-
Faina nodded briskly, Yes... there was the smell of smoke in the air, travelling on the far winds as they approached their destination. Smoke... she confirmed, but that wasn't the only surprise. Her Elven ears with their enhanced hearing picked up the loud moans and anguished cries of wild dragons nearby. Azul... can you make out what they're saying? she asked, as she was having trouble making sense of the jumble of emotions.
    ...It's... no... it can't be...
But Faina no longer needed Azul to translate for her as they started to descend... the corpse of a mighty Dragon lay on the ground... Saphira, and not far off, near a small gathering of other Rider's and their Dragons, was Eragon.

'Aye. The mighty Eragon has fallen.' This was the only thing Merik sent mentally towards the wild dragon, his eyes fixed on the fellow Rider, Risit the entire time.

OOC: Would've preferred you using another color. D: You're in though. Sorry for not posting in forever guys.

Risit turned his attention away from Merik, glancing towards Faina and Azul. Those two had been there at the same time he was with the elves. Though he couldn't say it out loud. His reasons were far too important to suddenly blurt out. It would ruin everything if he said it now. '...I've lost my temper. Now's not the time for this.' If it hadn't been for the straying thoughts of the students he would have continued in his rage but that had to wait. He would have to take care of Merik later...permanently of course. Risit walked slowly towards Eragon's body without saying a word and knelt beside his former mentor. "Thank you for your parting gift, old friend." This was spoken in the Ancient Language in a voice so low that the others could not have heard him. He took Brisingr, Eragon's blue sword, from beside the dead Rider.

"Eragon and Saphira deserve a funeral fit for a king...but Eragon was hardly the type for such flashy things and neither was Saphira." Risit spoke aloud as he stepped back from Eragon and Saphira's bodies. They could not bury them together, Saphira was too large and they would risk damaging the wildlife by making such a pit. No, they were far too important to be forced into the ground to rot. 'Let them rest in peace, Vanilor. Make their bodies return to the earth from which they came.' He mentally spoke towards the massive white dragon by his side.

'Sleep well, Eragon Kingslayer and Saphira Brightscales.' Vanilor's large jaws opened as a powerful and concentrated torrent of brilliant white flame gushed from his mouth to cremate both Eragon and Saphira.

Nerezza and Ifirit were in the clouds. the could see smoke seep its way through the white. "Whats going on?" Nerezza said outloud and curiously. She looked to Ifirit, the white serpent dragon, "I'm guessing you want to go down there." the dragon thought, knowing her rider all to well. Nerezza nodded feeling a bit worried. maybe it was a fire, it was quiet huge so it must have been from a dragon. So Ifirit dived into the clouds, the ground was shown from above and Nerezza peered to the ground. "What is going on?" she asked Ifirit. Who which replied. "A funeral for a rider and its dragon." Ifirit lowered herself. "We should pay our respects." she said sternly to her master. Nerezza couldn't argue with Ifirit, she knew best most of the time and it would be respectable to give their condolences. As the descended lower and lower the white dragon realized who it was. "Now I know who this dragon is. It is Saphira the rider is Eragon." Ifirit's tone was sad and mournful almost. Nerezza's eyes widened. She had heard a lot about the Dragon Rider and how he helped bring back dragons and saved the whole race of them. With out that man and his dragon then Ifirit and Nerezza would have never been together. So as the two landed they stayed back so they wouldn't interrupt.
