All I have heard is this gives grat results,it's simple and gives a nice outcome.
Here are the brushes I used for this. http://www.deviantart.com/deviation/32956399/
    1.make a new document
    2.make a new layer
3.get out out your vine brush and brush all around in your new layer
    [IMG]
    4.hide it
5.make a new layer and brush all over with sparks
    [IMG]
    6.hide it
    7.make a new layer
8.Brush around with a grundge brush
    [IMG]
    9.duplicate it and go map>displace
    10.displace by vine layer
11.erase around the middle and the top with the vine brush
    12.paste your render
13.uncheck the box next to mode
14.Smudge all over with the vine brush.
15.set to color and duplicate it
16.now set the duplicated layer to overlay
17.now get out your fuzzy brush and color all over with white on a new layer
    [IMG]
    18.set that to overlay
19.now paste your render all over the canvas
    [IMG]
    20.now glaussian blur it a 10
    [IMG]
    21.set it to overlay
    22.paste a c4d and hide it
23.displace the layer under the c4d with the c4d
24.now copy visible and displace it by the vine layer
25.erase everywhere with the vine brush exept the bottom corners
    26.now paste your render
    27.duplicate that layer
28.now glaussian blur it by 5
    29.set it to overlay
    30.almost done,now merge all layers(control m)and duplicate that layer
    31.chose the incandesent graident
    32.now gradient map it(filter>color>graident map)
    OPTIONAL
If you're sig is mostly red set this-
33.now set that layer on color at 67.7
    But that is purley OPTIONAL
    34.now merge layers again
    35.make a new layer
    36.now go to select>select all
37.go to edit>stroke selection and make sure your color is black
    38.line width 10
39.do it again with white and line width at 8

    Ahhh, GIMP? Coolio.

Just for future referrence: Always post results after every step. This way the reader gets a sense of where they should aim for.

    Keep it up.

The size I use,and used for this tut is 450 by 150.
I have also heard 450 by 125 is good.
