Frida only smiled at the white-haired man. She really couldn't find herself to take him seriously. Was the school real? Why was there a school like this? She knew the answers to these silly questions very well. The school was as real as the oxygen in the air that allowed them to breathe. It was created for people like her. People who were special. She wanted to tell this to the boy next to her, who she increasingly found more pathetic as words slipped out of his lips, but before she could he turned his attention to the way she had been acting.

"What did I even do to you anyways? There's nothing wrong with not having genuine powers. I don't get what your problem is. Really."

Hearing that caused Frida to roll her eyes and give her head a little shake. Did she really have to spell it out for everyone? Non-super power users were never and will never be at the same context or level as people who had super powers like herself. Having super powers was a gift. The STRANGE Academy? It's the school for the gifted. People without the super powers? Well, they aren't exactly a special little snowflake. She was so incredibly tired of people never understanding or seeing eye to eye with the simplicity of why superpower users totally deserve to be part of this school while non superpower users are wasting the precious time of their boring lives. In fact, Frida was done speaking with this non-superpower user completely. She gave him another nasty look and put her attention elsewhere by glancing through the opened door and into the hall.

    This day is crazy.
A morning announcement not only disturbs my sleep but wakes me up completely. I find myself in a classroom minutes before the class even starts rather than a minute before the class does start. Also, The professor I hate but somehow find wanting to be present in the room already has not arrived yet. Plus, to top it all off, I am sitting beside someone i wouldn't even dare to speak to. Like, seriously? Wake me up when it's Tuesday.
Frida thought to herself, not wanting to waste even a millisecond on voicing them out if it meant the only one she'd be speaking to was the boy beside her. She just didn't want any of this any longer. She wanted to return to her room, go back to sleep and save herself from all the ridiculous things the morning has been shoving into her face. However, as always, things had a different thing in mind. This included the boy next to her, who began speaking to her again.

The petite, candy colour haired girl let him speak, not saying a word herself as she still did not want to waste her breath on speaking to this man. A girl from behind joined into their conversation. With a rather snotty yet maybe a little expressionless look, she turned to look at the one who spoke. The young girl who sat behind them seemed rather timid and joyful. With some harsh thoughts still in mind, she listened to what this shy girl was saying. As this girl spoke, she was also busy with her hands. One held a pencil and the other the papers that she was drawing on. Addressing to this girl would have been fine, she knew that this girl was a power user. She remembered as she watched her draw. This lady was quite the artist. Ready to put her input once again to the situation, another individual suddenly joins in. It was a boy this time who started telling them to be 'careful'.

Frida found that very amusing. She showed a small smile on her face. Being careful in the academy is very subjective. There are the daring and the weak. The weak are so terrified of screwing up they become so dull and boring. The daring, like herself, go arm in arm with the thrill of being troublesome but are familiar with the limits. With experience, Frida enjoys to cause some chaos that can get her sent to Mr. Blood and maybe some scolding and other pathetic punishments. However, she's smart. She knows when it's too much. Trouble doesn't provide any thrill if you're dead, after all. But before she could find herself to laugh at this new comer's warning, he had turned to her and he scolded her.

The smile of hers immediately disappears. She absolutely hated being scolded at by other students. Who were they to tell her anything? But most of all, it seems that others had noticed her particular dislike to the boy beside her and found it rather unpleasant. Most students kept it to themselves, those who voiced out usually found themselves regretting they ever mentioned it. Her orangeish pink eyes glared fiercely at the blonde haired boy.
"You don't ever tell me what I can or can not do." she started, with a finger pointed threateningly towards him as she also began to stand. "You don't even know me." she adds in between gritted teeth. She could feel het body beginning to tense slightly and electrical currents traveling under her skin.

She turned to the other two, or rather, the whole group they seemed to have formed.
"If I were you, I'd rather be thankful that we are what we are and that a place like this school is taking care of us. What would we be in the outside world? Whatever it's like out there? Besides, who cares about the world outside? Who cares if this school really is real or not? If this is all just a dream, well, don't wait to be waken up. Live in the now. Make something out of yourself. Be strong and stay strong. Don't look back on things that isn't your business. You're just wasting your time." Frida spoke in a very stern voice that started to rise beside the increasing tingly, sparky feeling that grew inside of her. "Who even cares if we're trapped or that they're hiding things from us? The things we don't know doesn't make us who were are. If you don't know yourself and your capabilities, how on earth are you going to survive even in this school? Don't be driven by the curiosity that killed the cat, you'll be nothing short of a total weakling if not killed."

Lex moved in as a bustle of students entered before him. Though the student body wasn't very large, the class was just big enough to seat at least 100 students. As he went down the isle, scanning the different and familiar faces, he could catch spinets of conversations. Nothing important, just more disagreement among divided classes. More conspiracy theories and talks of escape. Just another Exam week.

He positioned himself at the end of the 3rd row. Close enough to the exit, far enough from everyone else. aving only 5 rows of chairs Lex could hear more talk a few rows behind him.

"I hope you're all well aware that there are ears everywhere. If you're going to talk about something that's nearly strictly forbidden, I would highly recommend doing it somewhere less . . . public."

The school was to focused on security rather than monitoring. While it was still fairly high, camera's weren't on 24/7. He stared at the wall clock with only a few seconds to 9 while shifting his viewpoint from the camera. Once the hour hand hit 9, the red light on the camera turned on and The Professor flew through the door at the front of the class. A funny thing about the teachers were they were never late or early. Always on time to the second.

Daniels sat his books down at his desk adjusting his glasses and sorting files. He seemed a bit more unorganized that usual. Straightening his disposition, he put on a smile and welcomed his students. "Good morning class. Welcome to your final exam week. 5 classes and your free for 2 months. Who's pumped for that?!"
The class seemed less than enthusiastic. The only difference between School and Vacation time was you didn't have to go to class. You were still confined. "Free" was an overstatement.
"Well, free from class anyways," he continued on. He turned and began to scribble some Important dates while explaining the review.

Before Aiden could have his own retort, which was something witty that he had just thought of(honestly!), the teacher walked in. Swallowing a curse that he had been holding back Aiden shifted in his seat and growled as he turned away from Frida. This wasn't over. Surveillance or not, he was losing his patience.

He folded his arms and leaned forward in his seat, watching their teacher hastily write down some things that he should have been paying attention to. It didn't matter to him. This was a prison and any stories about events that could have happened might have been entirely made up. Aiden's mind was stuck on more important things. 'Would graduating make any difference? Nobody remembers life outside of this place so who's to say that graduating will make things any better? This school isn't taking care of us.' He took in a deep breath and looked down at the desk, tapping his fingers against it once more. There wasn't anything for him to do but wait out the class. After that...well Aiden wasn't sure.

Alice turned round as a guy from behind her reminded them to be careful about what they said, which had the effect to cause her to shrink back into her shell again. She knew that he was probably right but she wasn't sure if she was even serious about what she said and the forbidden subjects just made the ideas all the more appealing. There was something about not being allowed to do something that made you want to do it. For as much as she did not want to get into trouble, there was something thrilling about defying the rules. It had also felt good to share those ideas, however brief.

She looked back around as Frida spoke once more; she was relieved that the blue haired girl hadn't simply had a go at her. She listened to what the girl said without making a sound, though her pencil never stopped moving. She understood what she said and guessed that they had a point. However she did not see what was wrong with a simple curiosity and keeping an open mind, instead of simply believing all you were told. Perhaps it would be very rash to actually act on those thoughts but if she didn't act on them, where was the harm?

Alice opened her mouth as if she was about to say something, though she wasn't quite sure what, either way it never came out as the teacher entered the room. She carefully turned over her page of doodles, which was a lot fuller than it would have usually been before starting on the other side as she watched their teacher. Professor Daniels certainly tried and as a teacher he wasn't that bad but she had yet to develop an interest in his subject.

    'fweeeeeeep! ... thump!'

    Tch! You arrive now? Now?!
I was so ready to get my hands on these guys.

She glared one more time at the three other students she had previously spoken with and then quickly glared at Professor Daniels as he fixed up some files before turning swiftly and slumping down into her seat with a scowl on her face. She leaned back with her arms crossed over her chest and huffed. She could still feel the static that had made its way to her finger tips. So much for a morning zap during a horrible Monday. It would have really brightened her day up - being able to use her powers on someone rather than some training simulation or dummy. It made her feel worse inside when she realized that the someone she could have zapped was a curious and annoying non-power user and a nosey blonde haired boy.

As her bitterness towards the situation only increased, Frida found herself calming down slightly as she was staring fiercely at the professor in front of the class who began to speak about "summer". Summer was the time the students were free to wonder around the school and not worry about class. These were the days some people tried to escape out of the school and were never really seen again. She knew that they had been caught but to where the amateur escape artists were - no one really knew. For herself, summer was the time to sleep in and skip the morning, rebel against the rules that wouldn't get her killed, play with the weak students of the school and use her powers more often. Frida was excited for summer. This summer, she had already decided that she wanted to try and take her powers farther. Maybe learn something a little new with what she could do. Summer really was just the time she could get away with things more and have a blast. She loved summer and it wasn't even another horrible Monday away.

After putting in his two cents about the conversation of the other students, he engaged in watching Frida's expression carefully. He often liked examining the faces of those when they were thinking, rather than deciphering their smile or frown. This one, well, she looked like she was slightly amused by what he said. Nix didn't mind that, it was her neck she was risking - although he would rather have everyone avoid being punished, but if that's what she wanted, then he wouldn't mind letting her through.

There were two types of people at this school: the clever and the stupid; the stupid were extrovert, loud, and not careful of what they did when they wanted to get something done. They always used the wrong methods, always went about it the wrong way. The clever, on the other hand, kept their heads down - good things come to people who wait. The clever study their surroundings, study the people, potential friends, enemies . . . From the description, it wouldn't be hard to place the girl with the candied-color hair.

She glared at Nix, he held his ground, "You don't ever tell me what I can or can not do," and she pointed a finger at him, almost standing, "You don't even know me."

He immediately detected weak electrical currents surging from somewhere, Ah yes, this one is a G-Class. As he was going to say something else to her, not something mean, rather, something insightful about herself, she went off on this redundant explanation about how the school is the savior of the students, how the outside world was nothing, basically, and that it didn't really matter if this was all a dream or not, and et cetera. With each word of hers, the electrical current grew a little more and more - she would start really sizzling soon. Nix wasn't worried though, he would easily be able to neutralize her with his ice, easily.

Right as the bell rang, Professor Daniels had strode through the doors, right on the dot. Teachers, he noticed a while ago, were never late or early, they were always just on time. After making a few announcements, he started on the exam review. The student with the white hair turned angrily back to look at the front of the class, obviously frustrated with Frida, and then the other girl, with the blonde hair turned back to the front as well, looking as if she wanted to say something, but didn't anyway. He then looked at Frida who huffed like a little girl and turned away.

Nix himself turned away from the three other students, mulling over his own thoughts of the summertime. Something interesting was going to happen, he just knew it.

    He loved interesting things.

Daniels had finished writing as the chalk made a short screech at the spelling of the last word.
Turning back to his class, he reached for a button beneath his desk side. "And now to take attendance." Pressing the button, a small scanning device emerged from the top of his desk. A red light scanned the students left to right. A few seconds later the device returned from were it emerged with a voice recording stating. 12 Absences.
"Hmm, less than I thought..." Daniels muttered as he stroked his chin.

Whenever a student was absent, a signal was sent to nearby security staff to search for the missing students and return them to class or send them to a detained area.
"Anywho, back to the lesson... As you know, we will be covering the last 600 years of Earth history. From 1900 AD to 500 AE.

    A.E. stood for After Extinction.
This was the period where Earthlings were nearly annihilated. Though they told us how it happened during Orientation, they never explained Why its was done, or what happened to the Advent. Just that they left as soon as they came and Society slowly moved on.

The Professor pointed at the board.
"Your final exam will be covering everything from The radiation leak of 480 AE, The drought of 324, World wars 1, 2, 4, and 5, and anything else you can find in your textbook. Now for the Geography Portion-"
"What about World war 3?" Lex interrupted.

Daniels turned in shock. "I'm sorry?"
He didn't know what he was doing. Lex figured he should stay quiet. It worked for 4 years, it would work for 2 more. Just some sudden impulse. So many cover ups and secrets. What is so threatening about withholding one piece or Earth history?

"The 3rd world war. Why isn't that under review?"
Hesitating to answer, he looked at the camera and back to Lex. "It's not under the Criteria. Less work for you right?" he added with a weak smile.
"I'm not expecting a full explanation. Just minor details." Lex too, noticed the cameras following their conversation.
    "Of course you don't have-"
"Actually I should." Daniels replied to his surprise. "World war 3 is as some of you guess to be the war that practically wiped us out. It's the reason you're here, and it's why you need to pass these tests we give you. You see, World war 3 is famous because it is the only war where all nations involved were working together instead of against one another. 7 Continents. Who had nothing to lose, chose to join forces with their former counterparts in an effort to save their planet."

A silence was cast across the room as Lex gave a look of inspired intrigue.

Clearing his throat, Daniels changed the subject, "Well I think that's enough off the book learning, back to-"

The PA interrupted him this time as the Headmaster spoke.
"Will Professor Arthur Daniels please report to my office."
Daniels sweated a bit as he swallowed some saliva. He acknowledged the 2 guards waiting to escort him out.
Blinking in a weird fashion, he slowly exited the classroom, reminding the students to keep on reviewing until class ended.
In his place, 2 more guards stood in to supervise the class.

Headmaster Ash Rugall was infamous for never being seen. Only his accented voice was heard every now and then. No student has seen his face and been able to report what they'd seen. Mr.Blood was more like the Vice principal and while more approachable on a daily basis, he was equally ominous and twice as disturbing. He had a way to "Fix" students to have them become more obedient.

Rugall's voice appeared on the PA once more. "Will Lex also please report to Mr. Blood's office for a routine examination. That is all."

"Routine Examination" was pretty much translated to extensive therapy session.
Standing up, he gathered his things and closed the class door behind him.

As the Professor explained about what their exam would be on, Alice listened though most of her attention was on her doodles. She'd heard all this before, she didn't care for the exam but she'd already looked at what it would be on. Through no fault of his own, his words held little interest for her. At least not until WW3 came up. It was one of the subjects never really mentioned and there didn't seem to be any books on it. She didn't know if there was an actual rule forbidding it being mentioned or if it was too horrible to think about. Either way, Alice was very surprised as the professor agreed to tell them the basics and glad someone trusted them enough to tell them. His words made sense and she actually even stopped doodling to listen.

What happened next however, she wasn't expecting. She knew what the announcement meant, it meant the professor had said something he shouldn't and now was going to get punished. However, she didn't understand what was wrong with what he had told them, it wasn't as if it was some huge secret that would make them all rebel. Although she feared more for the boy who had spoken, those 'routine inspections' were not good news. She glanced up at the camera, she may have simply brushed off what the boy earlier had said about being careful what you talk about but now there was no doubt in her mind. She looked around at the people near her, she wanted to talk about this but now daren't. Without warning she turned the page of her sketch book and started quickly drawing.

Her pencil moved like a blur and she soon looked up and said quietly to the white-haired boy in front of her, "Do you mind taking a look at my drawing?" She asked, offering out her sketchpad to him. At first glance her picture just looked like a detailed abstract drawing where's it's unclear what was actually happening. However if you looked closer, its true meaning became clear. The border was made out of cameras watching everything going on. She had the professor with a speech bubble, in which says 'secretssecrestssecrets...' then an arrow to him screaming at some unseen terror. There was a cartnoonised Lex with spiral eyes as he's hypnotised by a watch and rows of students all with tape over their mouths in prison uniform. A window to the outside full of question marks lay to one side, a lot of evil faces surrounded by the word 'lies' to the other. Also, she added a big fire with books titled 'WW3' being destroyed on it. In the bottom right corner, she drew herself looking up at it all with a shocked face.

'Tick tock tick tock...' While the teacher was still around, Aiden would occasionally glance over at Frida, weary that she would jump at him at any moment. He knew it wasn't going to happen during class, but she had an attitude that made him feel like he needed to be on edge. 'I wonder if she was born that way.'

Eventually, things got more interesting when Lex asked about the Third World War. It was a sensitive topic. Aiden watched the scene unfold as it went from a seemingly innocent question to having the teacher removed from the class and the review taking place under security supervision. It had been a long time since he had seen something like that happen firsthand. It was unfair and it probably wouldn't have happened if Lex hadn't pushed the question. 'You shouldn't have done that.' And soon enough, as Aiden knew would happen, Lex was called out of class. 'Called it.'

Then a girl spoke to him. Luckily, it wasn't Frida. Holden turned around and tilted his head as he looked down at the drawing he was offered to look over. He scratched the back of his head and stared at it for a long moment in silence. He wasn't an art critic and it took him awhile just to identify what was happening. "So...it looks like..." He paused to make sure he got it right. "This is an interpretation of the class...and...the stuff in the background..." He pointed to the cameras. "Are...they're...something." He shrugged. "It looks great but I'm just not very good at this, sorry."

The mind of Frida Logan never took a rest since Professor Daniels entered the room. 12 absences for the day? A sigh escaped from her lips, she knew she should have just skipped class for that day. It would save her from the horrible time she was having at the moment. However, as she lived her life in the STRANGE Academy daily, something always propelled her to be on time and do better each day in her classes. That something was the thought of improving her incredible gifted powers. It was the only thing keeping her in the four walls of the room she was currently sitting in. She glanced around the room quickly, as the voice of her professor only bored her to death. The girl behind them, who drew a lot, was keeping herself busy by sketching on her sketchpad - which was good for her, Frida thought, because she would love to have something to do. Perhaps something to do with the white-haired man beside her or the blonde haired boy from earlier not too far behind them, she still hadn't lost the urge to give them a little shock. She rolled her eyes away from the two men and onto Professor Daniels as he mentioned the five-letter word that she didn't enjoy: 'exams'. She did not want to hear about this. She shut her eyes angrily and scowled, her professor's voice annoyed her enough with the given topic he spoke about - she didn't have to look at the man while he was talking. As the seconds passed, Her thoughts raced heatedly while Professor Daniels then continued to speak about the tests.

Blah, blah, blah. Wars, Wars, Wars. All from the past, all so useless. This really isn't helping my mood at the moment. I would so love to give Professor an exam he'd never forget. A completely electri-

    "What about World war 3?"

This immediately caught Frida's short attention span. She turned her head quickly to where the voice that interrupted the professor seemed to come from and opened her eyes to find herself looking at a boy with dark hair who wore, like her, black and white. Her eyes danced from this boy to professor Daniels as their conversation grew. The Third World War was something the school spoke little about. It was their origins - something that was close to forbidden in the school. No student knew of their own origin - neither of the origins of their powers themselves. Frida only had theories to this world war but she never took them seriously nor did she want to. Whatever she didn't need to know was fine because, as she so often said, it was in the past. It wasn't really something for her to dwell upon even if she did find the Third World War rather curious - it might just be a key to opening a door to possibilities to her powers but for its history to do something to her being as a person, she really couldn't care less for it. Only if it meant that it could heighten her powers, then would it be of interest. But really, could it do that? She didn't believe it would. It probably had a standing of 30% of it doing that, but the 70% of it not was much more believable for her. Of course this ratio could all change in a moment, perhaps with what happened next.

Almost as fast as the conversation had started, it evaporated. Professor Daniels was called out of the class by the head of the school and the boy who spoke too left due to some kind of 'routine examination'. However, Frida knew it wasn't probably that - and she was sure all the other students thought the same - this meant trouble for those two. Trouble that no one, even the mischeivous Frida, did not want to be a part of. As the wanted exited the room and two guards came to supervise the class, she shut all the opened books and notebooks in front of her. No way was she going to review while there was no teacher around. With a rather loud groan, she slumped back into her chair even further and laid back lazily. This wasn't what Frida had in mind when she wanted her Monday to go differently. She wanted somethind to do - not something to stare at mindlessly. She began to tap her small black shoes on the floor as she tried to fight the urge to stand up and leave the room. This lead to glancing around the room again, with nothing else better to do, and just at that moment the girl from earlier and the non-power user began to converse.

She slipped him her drawing and he began to annalyze it. Frida carefully eyed the drawing herself out of curiosity. Cameras, secrets, the professor, the boy from earlier, fire, World War 3, lies and expressions of pain, horror and evil. She knew immediately what was going on. Whoever said 'A Picture is worth a thousand words' was right - if the guards came over and understood as well as she did what this illustration was, it would mean the unwanted trouble to this poor girl as well. Unfortunately, the non-power user seemed to not get it at all - which, of course, Frida expected. She chuckled immediately after his apology to the girl behind him.
"You're not very bright either, are you?" she whispered with a mean tone to the white-haired man as she looked at him in the eye. She then swung her arm over the back of her chair and twisted her body to the side so she could face the two of them and leaned in a little closer. She spoke to the girl, "I would like to start of with, lovely drawing. It's gorgeous but it could get you in deep trouble, so good luck with burning that." she then quickly glanced at the boy beside her, "Now, she should burn it because this is her way of telling you - or at least, trying to tell you - that this World War 3 thing? Yeah, it's totally confidential and its true meaning? Probably really dark and whatever Professor non-power-user-Daniels is telling us isn't at all what this Thrid World War is all that is to be."

Frida then addressed both of them again and smirked. She made sure she kept her voice very soft as she leaned in further to them. "B-but what interests me most from this illustration of yours is that you're implying that you want to go find out what this really all means. What is the third world war? What has the professor told us that we don't already all know? What has he lied about to us? What screams to me most from all of these powerful sketches and interpretations are five, rather simple, words that I almost find you saying yourself" She let there be a dramatic pause as she stared into the eyes of both of the individuals before she whispers to them fiercely what she knew some students only wish they could say about the topic of their discussion, "Let's go find out ourselves."

Anya was still on the rooftop when lessons began, and there she remained, laying on her back, eyes closed and her breathing calm.
There was no point in going to class. After all, pretty much everything they learned mattered not one bit anyway. Although, she knew that time was running out, and that any moment now, the attendance would be taken and when it was acknowledged that she wasn't there, a signal would be sent out, and a member of security would track her down and take her to lessons, or a detained area.
Anya regularly missed lessons, again, what was the point?
It also meant be surrounded by people. People that would simply bother her. People that would get in the way.
It's not that Anya had some high and mighty look about herself, it wasn't that she saw herself as higher than others like some people with powers did. It was simply that she felt she could only trust herself and that was it.
Most of the school held a strange fear mingled with respect when it came to her. She was known to be ruthless and cut throat. This wasn't just because she was S-class - the class which was known to have the highest bully count. Anya in fact rarely went out of her way to bully anyone. She didn't see much of a point in such stupid things, although, that didn't stop people from looking at her like she was one. But this suited her fine. It meant they avoided her, and it meant that they wouldn't bother her.
    Most of the time...
Naturally, you got idiots who just didn't get the message at all and would try to start something - to challenge those at the top of the food chain. Anya was considered to be one of those at the top with her fearsome abilities and attitude. It was a pillar that she had been placed on without even intending for it to happen, but this is how it was. And so, naturally when the time came, she simply had to beat down those that opposed her, and it was usually in a brutal manner at that, and thus; the cycle would continue and add to her already fearsome reputation.
All the same, while she knew the majority viewed her in such a way, she knew there were others who couldn't care less, and to be frank, Anya didn't mind that either. If people didn't care, that would simply mean that they wouldn't bother here either, or they would simply know to keep out of her way.
She didn't see the point in all these everyday stupidities. Why should she have to be anything other than herself?
What did it matter if she stood out because of her unnatural hair and eye colours? Or her attitude and reputation? It mattered not one bit (albeit, this is what she told herself. The many broken bones she had inflicted when such topics were bought up might say otherwise).
The colour of her skin, or the social standing she had been placed in didn't matter to her either. This Academy didn't matter.
Anya thought back to the time she had tried to escape. Even that didn't matter. In fact, why had she even tried back then?
It was just something at the time she had done. It was almost like... what did it matter if she tried or didn't try? Did it even matter if she had made it out or not?
Probably not. It was likely that even the higher ups of the academy could tell this about her and that was why she was simply brutally punished instead of made to disappear. She was dangerous that was for sure, but they perhaps saw her as someone that-
...A sound disrupted her flow of thoughts.
Anya sat up and turned her head in the direction of the security man who had come to get her. His face was emotionless as usual, and yet his eyes communicated that all knowing hint of: 'yeah, I knew you'd be here... again.'
She simply stood and walked past him, catching his eye for a second. It was a look that also communicated; 'and I know that I don't have to do anything more. You're a strange one aren't you Kurse?'
Of course, Anya never communicated anything back to these familiar looks his eyes gave her. Whether he was sympathetic but just doing his job, or not didn't matter either.
Anya took one last look back over the rooftop. A thought lingering for a brief moment in her mind. Would she try to escape again if the chance presented itself?
...Who knew. But... what did it matter if she tried or didn't try?
At the end of the day, Anya was a calculating mind. And the one mistake that the school had likely made, whether they knew of it or not was... she was unpredictable, and that was probably one of the more dangerous aspects about Anya despite her ferocious powers.
She started to move again, heading to the classroom, the security guard not even bothering to escort her as he already knew she would simply head there without the need of him wasting any more time on her.
This was all just a way for Anya to bide her time.
She finally made it to the classroom, and she noticed that the teacher wasn't present at all, and from the atmosphere in the classroom, that something had happened.
Someone had said something 'too much'.
A few eyes fell upon her as she made her way into the classroom, past the rows of desks until she found an empty chair near the back of the classroom. She ignored the whispers and instead sat down with her elbows on the desk and her hands under her chin to support her head.
Her ears picked up a conversation that the bright haired girl, Frida was having.
It seemed to be over some commotion over a drawing or whatever.

    "Let's go find out ourselves."

So... Anya's deductions about 'too much' being said had been right. That line had proven it. Students in the classroom had been told something that had piqued their curiosity and now some of them wanted more.
She kept a poker face and turned her attention elsewhere for the meantime.
Maybe change was on the horizon, or maybe it wasn't, but whatever the case... Anya's mind was already calculating the possibilities. No one would really know what was going on in her head, but again... this was just another aspect that made her so dangerous, whether people truly knew the fact or not.

"Look, man, I'm sorry, alright?" Sam pleaded with the guards escorting him. "I wasn't tryin' anythin', I'm just a bit behind schedule. Fightin' inner demons and the such. Y'know?"
'I see not why you insist on excusing yourself.
The guards will just silently take you to Hell.'
'Shut it, Jaggerjack.' Sam mentally growled. 'If I wasn't goin' through my closet, tryin' to explain what a jacket is to an overgrown, flamin' tiger with no sense of fashion, I wouldn't have lost track of time and I wouldn't be in this mess!' As the guards led Sam towards class, Sam apologized under his breath one more time. It wasn't the first time he was late, far from it, but he knew the drill: if you act like it was an accident (though this time it legitimately was), you apologize enough, and if you're generally not a trouble-maker, you'll get off a bit more easily. Though something he noticed was that he always had at least two guards escorting him...most other students had one. Was he that dangerous? Of course not. It wasn't Sam that was dangerous; it was Jaggerjack. Both of them had noticed the trend: A-Classmen always needed more supervision.
'Blame Jaggerjack all you wish, young Samuel.
But if I may ask, is that Professor Daniels?'
"Hm?" Sam looked up. A pair of guards were leading Professor Daniel away from his classroom as Sam himself neared it. "Hey, Professor D. " The A-Classmen shrugged and waved lazily, but the guards did not allow the two to speak more than that, shoving him into his classroom before Professor Daniels could respond. "Um...that was weird." As the guards left, Samuel turned around to look at the class, instantly dropping his shoulders and donning an air of apathy. "What's that about?" He asked aloud as he walked towards an empty seat.

A quick, deep, and slightly mechanical sound came from Lance's throat, most likely surprising one or two of the students closest to him. It took them a moment to realise that he had sighed, of all things.
"And what will you do once you do find out?" he said, his voice talking on the same slight distortion that the previous sound from him had done.
"When the ones in charge find out -- and they will -- what will you do? Run away from school and go fight Advent?"
    He seemed to scoff at the stupidity of the idea, before he quickly fell silent for another moment. At last, he added;
"Sit down, shut up, and do whatever you're told to do. That's what you, and everyone else in this school, will do. It's all we can do."

As the guy took her pad, Alice watched him carefully, eager to know his thoughts on the subject. She knew that the drawing was dangerous and if it's meaning was discovered, it could spell trouble for her. Nevertheless, it was better than talking if cameras were watching. Her face dropped when he couldn't make sense of it. She'd made it slightly hidden as she didn't want people to see from a distance what it was but she didn't think she'd made it that obscure. She looked down as she tried to work out what to do, she couldn't explain it as that would defeat the whole point. She guessed the only option was to take it back and destroy it as soon as possible. It seemed a shame but she didn't have much choice.

Fortunately, of all people, the stuck up girl from before came to her rescue. A smile broke out across her face as she complimented her, she was glad she liked it but more than that she was relieved someone actually understood it. "Thanks and I know" She said quietly to the mention of burning it. She listened carefully as her picture was explained; Frida concentrated mostly on the WW3 aspect and it wasn’t quite how she would have worded it personally but it did the job. However it was what she said next about going to find out that made her short on words. She brought her fingers to her lips as she thought about it.

Before she could answer yet another person entered the conversation. To say this was a dangerous topic, she wasn’t sure people overhearing and joining in was a good thing, they weren’t being as quiet as she would have liked either. Still, they weren’t near the front and only really their corner were in earshot, the guards didn’t seem to have noticed either way though it was the cameras that were more worrying. Either way, the guy who’d joined in now, she’d seen around before but never talked too. He wasn’t someone you’d forget in a hurry considering he went round in a robotic suit of armour thing. If she was honest, he intimidated her. There was something about not being able to see someone’s face and judge their reactions that made her slightly nervous. There was no knowing what he was thinking. She tried hard not to judge though and concentrated on his words.

When he’d finished, she finally spoke, first to Frida. Her voice was very quiet yet clear, she didn’t mumble or stutter. “It’s an interesting idea there for sure and there’s certainly something to discover. It’s just…” She looked down at her drawing now it was back and tapped the burning books, to remind them that they’d destroyed the information on it or at least made it so they couldn’t find it. “…where would you even look? And we all know the risks if caught.” She shook her head and looked towards Lance sadly, “That’s awfully depressing, even if it’s true. But you’re saying the only way we could do it and get away is if we escape the place as well? There’s a Mission Impossible for you.” She sat back in her chair and smiled, “The silly thing is that I’d of been perfectly happy with the professor’s explanation if they’d of just left him alone and this conversation wouldn’t of happened.”

As time passed, the class neared it's few remained minutes of the shortened day. The guards seemed tediously uninterested as usual. While they were firm in discipline, they could care less for the actual studies.

Elsewhere, Lex had been finishing his session with the Academy Councillor. Since his arrival, he had spent nearly 2 hours in his office discussing his thoughts and life goals. Despite the length of the conversation, the entirety of it all seemed sped up.
"And loose memories, do they still bother you at night?" he continued.
"No Mr. Blood, they've stopped since our last session."
That was a lie. Like other students, his memory was cleared upon entry. However, unlike other students, he had very vague visions of some one in immense pain. A woman crying out as if being murdered.
"Good, Good. Now back to the reason you're here." Fixating his tinted glasses, he folded his hands and spoke out. "Here at STRANGE, we promote learning but there are some questions we prefer you don't ask. It's the whole reason you're here. If you keep on insisting for answers, you may not like the traumatic cause it may inflict."
    Lex's expression remained emotionless.
"Lex, I can see you are a bright student." The man proceeded to removing his glasses and making direct eye contact with Lex's dull, grey eyes.
"We just want what's best for you. You are here to build a brighter future... So I think it would be best not to take interest in things you aren't learning."
He was doing it... Something with his eyes.
Lex stood and replied, "Yes, Mr. Blood."
Upon finishing his reply, the school bell rang.
"Well it seems the school day is through."
As Lex attempted to walk out of the room, he was interrupted.
    "Also, one more thing."
He turned to find him scribbling on a small note.
"I'm giving you a detention for the afternoon. Don't consider it as punishment, I just want you focused on your studies..."
His last sentence was spoken very slowly while keeping eye contact.
"Yes, Mr. Blood," Lex repeated. Without any more questions, he walked outside the room and closed this door behind him.
Hearing the click, he let out an exhausted sigh. The tint in his pupils grew from grey to black. He was never one to use his abilities, but Lex knew the Councillor had a certain knack for creepy persuasion methods. Before the session had even begun, Lex focused on creating a stone lens around his pupils. This took a lot of focus and even more to keep his eyes centered as to not give away the illusion. He had done this for 2 straight hours.
As he staggered down the hall to lunch, he gazed at his card where it read
    "3:00 PM White Room"
The white room was just about the safest punishment you could receive. It was pretty much like a library. It was quiet, you weren't allowed to make a lot of noise, but the one key difference were the walls. They gave off a shallow glow because they were lined with a safe layer of Rendium. This meant that no powers could be used in the room. Thinking to himself, Lex found him in the mess hall where students herded off to the Cafeteria for Lunch.

Back in the History classroom, the students were being dismissed, All late students were administered a standard detention slip to the White Room at 3pm.

Of course it was a taboo subject, anyone who was smart enough should know that. Like he said earlier, if you were going to talk about something that was near-strictly forbidden, then you should do it somewhere more private. In the middle of class, to ask about World War III, when Professor Daniels had specifically avoided it, was a bad time for its mention. Then again, it was a little surprising that Lex would be the one to mention it, or maybe not . . . And after that, he even pushed for more details, when he should have known better. In the beginning, they administrators had all given them a brief run of World War III, and that was that. What little information they had given was expected to be enough. And for most students, it was, but there were always going to be curious ones.

It's not to say that Nix wasn't curious about it, it's just that he knew how to keep his head down and remain out of the very selective view of Mr. Blood and even possibly the extremely elusive Headmaster Rugall and obtain his information otherwise.
"Will Professor Daniels please report to my office." came the voice of the Headmaster himself. Nix observed the professors's expression; he visibly swallowed. Poor guy, he was really a nice teacher too.

The Headmaster's voice came onto the PA system once more ,
"Will Lex also please report to Mr. Blood's office for a routine examination. That is all." Translation: Lex needed to go in for a therapy session. Nix watched as the boy gathered up his stuff and solemnly left the class room.
"Do you mind taking a look at my drawing?" one student asked the other. Nix was really no longer paying attention to much. When he zoned back in, ". . . so good luck with burning that." Why would you want to burn a piece of art? He glanced over his shoulder to get a glimpse of the work.

Professor Daniels was saying "secretssecretssecrets . . ." and he seemed to be screaming at something, scared. He recognized Lex, only he had spiral eyes because he was being hypnotized by a watch, and then there were rows and rows of students, all with tape over their mouths and all wearing prison uniforms. He observed it just a little further. Frida was the one who had said to burn it and for once today, he agreed with her. He listened to what she had to say.

"Let's go find out ourselves." she said. And then Lance spoke up, rejecting the idea. Alice replied.

"Well then, if you four are done talking about things that could get us hung up in Blood's office or maybe even Rugall's," he began with a relaxed and hushed tone of voice, "Then I recommend that maybe we should all plan to meet somewhere later and talk about things where we are less . . . heard."

Just a few minutes after that, the guards dismissed the students for lunch. Nix went outside to the artificial courtyard and spread his wings, flying up to the roof to eat where he usually did. There was a small garden that he tended to there, he was rather fond of plants. It was almost like his secret spot, but not so secret.

Biding her time was something that Anya Kurse had become very good at. She sat in class despite the fact that there was no teaching going on, but this suited her just fine. She proceeded to sit upright with her arms folded and her eyes closed. It could almost be like she was sleeping, but she wasn't. Her ears picked up anything that was being said, immediately discerning whether it was useful or not. The other part of her brain was counting away the ticking seconds until they would be dismissed by their uninterested guards.
The time came, and Anya was instantly up, out of her seat and out the classroom. She hadn't even come to class with anything to unpack and therefore pack up, so she was one of the first out. There was no need to linger.
She headed straight for her usual haunt, the same position on the roof that she had been in before class had started. From there, her eyes instantly picked out Nix who had also chosen to come to the roof to tend to his garden it seemed.
It didn't bother Anya. Out of a lot of the students at the academy Nix was pretty wise and he had never bothered her before, so she chose to leave him be. He'd likely just tend to his garden and she would just stay here, laying on the cool ground beneath her.
She leaned over and retrieved the bag she had left here earlier before she had to leave for class. It contained her lunch, and it was rather a big one at that. Thanks to her regenerative powers, Anya had a rather big metabolism from how she would be burning up energy. Of course, she hadn't used those powers much lately. She'd had no need to, so it wasn't like she was starving, but she found that she was always able to finish every meal no matter how big it was, and she took advantage of that fact since it was better for her to make sure she was full now. If she found need where her body started regenerating later, it would be a pain in the ass to find she was hungry then, and while it wasn't a big deal if that did happen... if it was something she could avoid, she might as well. Further more; thanks to her abilities, it's not like she had to worry about putting weight on, and if she wasn't up here doing nothing she'd often be found training away in the facilities anyway, honing her body and mind. After all, she had to do something to keep occupied.
She delicately held a sandwich in hand as she looked up at the sky again. This was still her just biding her time away.

Aiden folded his arms as he kept quiet, watching as the others took interest over the drawing. He was surprised someone else didn't snatch it up and get the girl in trouble over it by now given that the majority of the small group had already looked at it. With class already over, he rose to his feet and lowered his arms back to his sides. Aiden's eyes hovered over Frida for a moment before shifting away to look elsewhere. She wasn't worth the time.

Though he wanted to say something, he refrained from doing so. It was time for lunch and some of the others had already left. "Hm." Aiden shook his head slowly and turned towards the door, heading out of the classroom. He took a moment to think of where he would go to. Food didn't hold his appetite at the moment and sulking around in the hallways was something left to those of other classes. Aiden sighed out loud and looked over his shoulder back to the classroom he had just left. Instead, he decided to just head outside and look for a not-so-quiet place to sit. If anything, he could at least prod someone from another class just hard enough to start a fight. Not that he'd throw any punches of course. 'I haven't been this frustrated in awhile. I shouldn't have brought anything up.' He thought to himself as he dug his hands in his pockets, vanishing in a burst of speed into the hallways.

Too focused with speaking to the non-power user and the artist, Frida hadn’t noticed that more late students had entered the room – or that they were drawn to the topic she was having with the others. It nearly scared her half to death when a rather mechanical voice joined in their conversation, in fact the shocker caused her to jump a little. Embarrassed by being surprised, Frida listened to what this robot had to say with a scowl on her face that very soon turned into an evil glare as he continued to speak. The man in the suit began opposing what she had just said and really just began scolding them. Telling them what to do – like they were naughty 5 year old children ready to be slapped by their parents.

’Again with this? Do people ever learn? No one – I repeat – NO ONE tells me what I can or can not do. This guy is too full of it. I’d bet cash to say he’s one of those jerks who think they’re just right all the time. Besides, is this even my idea? My drawing? A pfft, heck no. I can barely hold a pencil without stabbing someone.’

Before she could speak out her mind, once again someone grabbed that opportunity to voice out before her. It was the artist girl. She exhaled, almost a sigh of relief, at the moment if there was someone to interrupt her. Frida would like this girl right here to be the one to do so, since she didn’t mind it so much. However, what she began to say intrigued her. It wasn’t the risks that she had mentioned, or the escape thing that should most likely take place if there was something to discover but it was the whole ‘wish-this-didn’t-happen-this-conversation-wouldn’t-have-either’ part. This was probably the most interesting History class she’s been in all year. Okay, maybe it was a little – or a lot – because she seemed to have ticked some people off and got to snap at some in such a dull class. Of course, it was also because of the topic they tackled. Who wouldn’t be even the slightest interested in the things they were saying? She was sure the authorities in the school would be.

Once again, before she could find herself to even open her lips – another individual interrupts her. Lightning didn’t mean fast in her case, she’s been way too slow with conversing that morning – well, then again, it was still morning. A Monday morning. Yet others seemed very lively, and almost on edge, like the blonde boy from earlier who spoke again. He mentioned again about trying to be less noticeable or obvious with their conversation – even meeting up somewhere after. She honestly, actually really liked the idea and she was all up for it. However, at the same time, she did not want to waste time with a crowd that included some pretty jerky people and a non-power user.

“That’s all very flattering, and actually quite interesting but I’m going to pass. You guys don’t even deserve my time.” She said, even though still interested with the offer.

Then, just like that, the bell rings and the guards dismiss the class. No one had seemed to notice their entire conversation. Students quickly began to leave – including the white haired boy who she caught giving her a look as he stood. She returned him a ‘whatever-you-don’t-even-scare-me’ look as he turned to face somewhere else and left the room as well. Frida released a loud sigh before getting up to her feet and stretching a bit. She grabbed all of her things and quickly turned to the artist girl behind.
“You’re pretty cool though, we should talk some time.” She gave her a small smile and then whimsically hopped through the door. The petite girl walked through the hall, quietly. Some thoughts about the current conversation still lingered slightly. She began to walk a little more slowly.

Hm. It’s actually quite dull now without everyone else. I wonder if that offer from the blonde kid still stands? Probably not. It would be nice to hear what everyone else had to say – or at least just some others. I wouldn’t care less for some of the others. Again, not even worth my time. Guhhh, what to do now though?

She stopped and turned to face back to the classroom she came from. She had already decided on not eating, she had lost her appetite. Her eyes stared blankly at the hallway in front of her. Maybe she should have stuck with the others? Maybe she should have just put up with them and ignored the others? She slapped herself suddenly on the side of her face as she realized she could have pounded on someone from the group earlier. She almost had, after all. She just missed an opportunity for an electrical and shocking turn of events – and to top it all off, it sure was getting lonely.

Sam scowled to himself. He was completely ignored. Did he not ask what was going on?
'You ask a question and receive silence, but why do you wonder why no one offers an answer?'
'What do you mean? I wonder because no friggin' answered me when I asked the question, you overgrown furball.' Sam replied as he started walking towards the cafeteria.
'I ask because between genuinely concerned or rather apathetic, you often act like the latter.'
"You're trippin'," Sam muttered aloud. It was true that he often gave off the 'too cool for school' attitude, but it was something he could not help. And it usually betrayed his real thoughts. 'Either way, I got detention later on. This is going to be fun,' he muttered in his thoughts as he sat at an empty table. It wasn't that he wasn't hungry, but Jaggerjack's presence sustained him. Food, water, even sleep were no longer needed. Though he did occasionally get hungry/thirsty, and still enjoyed food and drinks, it took relatively little to give him sustenance. As for sleep, he only needed a little. And whenever he transformed into Jaggerjack, it was as if his real body refreshed once he turned back. He enjoyed that perk. The only problem with all this was that lunch was a pointless and boring time of day for him.
