        i love Mobb Deep, & Shook Ones Part II is just undeniably perf — they're just brilliant. also the sample in it is Jessica by Herbie Hancock ( similarly perf ) and Jessica is my name so it just comes back full circle ( in a sort-of-kind-of way? )

        (i never replied to thIS) Admittedly I've never sat and listened to much of Mobb Depp before. I think around the time Misty linked me to the Emancipator song that used the sample from Shook, I had listened to parts of the original, but that was nearly two years ago haha.

        And I get you haha. Whenever I hear "Alexander" (and all its variants) in a song by someone I really like I go googly eyed *w*
