OK, I see. Being able to easily read the pose is pretty important, though, and a frontal view makes this it hard to tell this one. You could try either chaning the pose or try making the drawing be from another angle. I usually do a few sketches from different angles to try and see what works.
I'm assuming those shards are in front of him? It's hard to tell where they are when we have no frame of reference for their size, so I'd suggest drawing a few next to him that are smaller, so we can tell that the others are in front.
You have partially covered up your two characters with light reflections in the first one and smoke in the second. In my humble opinion, you should try to keep that at a minimum, as it kind of takes the viewer's attention away from the characters that are supposed to be the very thing you want to show us.
Also, nice composition in the second image. However, the first one is a bit odd. I can't really tell what Crystal-Guy is doing, and he's kind of small considering it's a picture of him. I can see that you want to show off the whole character, but just keep in mind that sometimes you can make more dynamic images by only showing part of them, like so:
I generally like the second one of the guy with the bow, but if I were you, I would crop away maybe half of the space between his head and the top of the drawing. Feels weird to have such a big open space with nothing in it.
You can only relocate to areas in the same world. The Castle Oblivion map is in the Hollow Bastion world. Memory's skyscraper is not. And for the record, most relocations mess up your spawning coordinates, meaning there's a high probability you will spawn outside the map bounds and fall endlessly.

"What the **** does "Slot #" mean?" It means the slot the character is currently occupying.
What slot each character is in depends on what is on-screen. Players, party members, and AI
partners take priority. The playable character is always in slot 1. If you have two party
members with you they take up slots 2 and 3. If there's a boss present, he'll then take slot
4. If you have no party members with you, the boss will take slot 2, as it is no longer
occupied. I hope that makes sense.
These are mostly intended for messing with bosses'/enemies' stats, but they can affect party members too. (Or, at least the HP codes can. Haven't really tested strength/defense/resistances).
Aaah, I see. I didn't mean to imply that you shouldn't draw anime, I just think you learn more from looking at what the old masters did. I actually like your drawings, so I just thought it was a shame if you didn't develop your skills as much as you should, but I was obviously wrong about that.
I totally get wanting to take a break form classic drawing. If you're going to continue with anime, I'd recommend taking a look at some of the work done by Production I.G. IMO, they are one of the best studios out there.
Bumping thread with more scans (which I've also edited into the OP now). My scanner had trouble with some of the paper I was using, so some of the drawings don't look so great.
I'm in the process of throwing together a portfolio which I will use to apply for an animation school. I've spent the last 4½ months on a drawing course (which I started a thread for, but then eventually left to die, as I: (a) Didn't have any scanner, only my iPod cam, and (b) Spent all my time drawing.
What I more or less need from you is to let me know which drawings you think are best and/or should be put in my portfolio (and perhaps also if there are any drawings you think I shouldn't use).
Criticism and such is also welcome, but since I am pretty much done with these drawings (and because there are so many of them), please keep it to what I should do in general to improve (Better proportions? Poses too stiff? Etc.), instead of analyzing each individual drawing.
A lot of the drawings are of nude models, so I'll be linking to them instead of posting them directly. The rest of the drawings are in spoiler tags, not because of nudity, but because they're pretty big.
