Yeah... I guess... On the bright side of things, Aqua is gonna have to be super powerful, seeing as how she roamed a place seemingly infested with Darksides for 7 years, and probably got into tons of fights and such.
Even if they didn't meet up with Ansem, they would have met up with Aqua. She was still just wandering around in the Realm of Darkness, and decided to stay at the Dark Sea.
I've been wondering this too. The whole scene, though one of my favorite scenes of all time, becomes incredibly confusing when you take into account BBS. It was confusing enough already; According to Riku, the Dark Keyblade was supposed to release all the -darkness- in someone's heart, not their light. I understand that Riku was going to use the Keyblade to release Kairi's heart, but according to his explanation, the hearts could have just as easily been destroyed by that action. Furthermore, I thought that the remains of Ventus' heart had grafted itself to Sora's; he wasn't really borrowing the space, like Kairi was. There's also the possibility that after Sora became a Heartless, Ven's heart took over.
On a semi related comment, by the end of Kingdom Hearts 2, Kairi is sporting 1 additional personality (Namine), Riku is sporting 3 (Xehanort, Terra, and Eraquis), and Sora is sporting 3 (Roxas, Xion (technically), and Ventus).
Also... How is it that Sora and Riku missed meeting up with Aqua and Ansem? There was a difference of like, 30 minutes between Ansem's disappearance and theirs.
Two boss fights in particular, and one level- Ursula from Kingdom Hearts 1, Xigbar from Kingdom Hearts 2, and the entire Monstro level pissed me off, just because I had no idea what I was doing.
If only I could dedicate enough time and money to be this big of a fan to video games in general... I could fill three houses, one with Kingdom Hearts, one with Sly Cooper, and one with Psychonauts... mmmmmm, Psychonauts... Oh, and a small ballroom full for Dragon Age... *starts drooling*
Fair enough with the secret encounter. Still, the Dark Keyblade, though creating one of my favorite scenes in all of games, raises some isses. Around the time that Sora was holding the thing, he had three hearts in him, and Riku had a (potential?) of 4-
His, Xehanort's, Terra's and Eraqus;.
Though, we don't know how Xehanort's heartless actually works as an identity. Technically, whenever he turned into a heartless he was 3 different people. We also don't know what Ansem's thing did to Terra's leftover bits.
I'm not talking about keyblades in general when I talk about Riku, I'm talking about Sora's. We get the direct explanation from Riku that he should have gotten the Keyblade, but at the moment the Keyblade appeared Sora had a purer heart. We get a direct explanation from Xehanort's Heartless that the Keyblade goes to the one with the stronger heart, and since Xehanort's Heartless essentially has the combined experience and knowledge of Terra and Xehanort, and would know a lot about how Keyblades actually work. That's what I go on when I look at the Keyblade sora has, which may or may not be the x-blade from BBS (It could just be a redo of Terra's Keyblade, just in a different form, we just don't know how that type of thing works.)
There were three Organaization bosses outside of the final boss that gave me enormous amounts of trouble: Demyx, Xigbar and Xaldin. Demyx was hard to nail down pattern wise, Xigbar was just tough and had a huge life meter, and Xaldin was just too elusive to get a good hit on, and required you put yourself in harms way just to get a good lock on him.
Engh, I think if we tried to pick apart every detail of the original Kingdom Hearts that was never brought up again in either KH2 or the others, we're gonna be here for a while... Which, I fully admit was what I was doing with my original question ^_^U
From what I remember of KH1, it was a total accident that Sora go a hold of the keyblade in the first place. It was originally supposed to go to Riku, presumably because of Terra's actions in BBS. But as explained by Leon and Friends, the Keyblade would only go to someone with a pure heart, and because Riku was ready to give himself to the Darkness, it went to the nearest pure heart, which was Sora's. By the time Sora reaches Hollow Bastion in KH1, and he loses the Keyblade, it's because Riku was the real chosen one. The only reason Sora still has the Keyblade is because his heart is stronger than Riku's something that Riku accepts and respects. And he has his own Keyblade, but that's it's own plothole.
I started playing this freemium MMORPG Vindictus the other day. Gotta say, it's an interesting concept. It's basically an MMO hand'n'slash, an innovation at least, and I think that's what MMOs need to be damn good again. Anyone else playing this game? My name on there is the same on here, so PM me and we'll do quests and stuff. You can get the game here: http://vindictus.nexon.net/
Imma go ahead and say my favorite character is Axel really. I like Riku and Terra a lot too, but there's something about Axel and his personality that's just awesome. He's kind of a cocky loser, but at the same time he can be a good friend and that's what he's all about. I feel kind of sorry for what's going on with him in Days, with his old-time best friend manipulating him like that. Sadface.
