    C&G

I had 8th Grade graduation a few weeks ago. I think I actually looked pretty spiffy.

But, ya know, there are people who just aren't meant for robes & mortarboards.

Never played MGS. Love Halo, though, but they both are excellent. Have to go with Halo, though.

I believe that magic exists, possibly as a fundamental force like gravity, with its own particle. Humans probably could, at some point, use it, but we've became so addicted to technology that we've simply grown out of touch with it. There's a difference between trickery (magicians) and magic (actual sorcerors), though.

    Halo Books

Really? Well, it's been awhile since I read it, so I can't really say, but I don't recall it being bad.

    Halo Books

I read every one except Contact Harvest. All excellent, in my opinion. I think they add a good deal of depth to the Halo universe.

This is not Christian. This is blasphemous heresy. I have never, in my entire life, watched a more insulting video. If you live a virtuous life without knowing Jesus, you are not going to hell. I want all the non-Christians-atheists too-to know that, whether you do or don't believe in the afterlife, it won't suck as long as you try to be good to others.

I think the meaning behind the song is that humans have incredible power-the power to create, to love, to preserve, and to succeed. Unfortunately, we often use this power to corrupt, kill, destroy, and ruin. The music video shows how that affects the world. Apparently, one of the members learned how to ride a bike "with no handlebars", but as he reveled in this new ability, he remembered that somewhere, someone was being bombed by his country. That made him write this song.

You are correct, however, none of the other members have said anything close to this. That's just how Daron was feeling at that time. All the other members imply that they intend to get back together at some point.

No. That is an infringement on free will. If that happens, I will lose all support for the US government (which I have been rapidly losing as of late anyway.)

They'll be back in a few years, don't worry.

One of the best bands out there, and the reason I listen to metal. I just which they would get done with their hiatus.

I think the reason people really like Barack Obama (people like me) is because he's "fresh". He's not some old-school, outdated politician. He's new, he's trying to bring something new to White House. He's not just the same old thing.
And anyway, you pretty much need to be a megalomaniac to become a politician.

Who-or what-defines morals? Where do morals come from? What is inside us that makes us respect these morals? Don't you ever wonder why they exist?

What is the reason, Repliku, that we should obey morals and ask forgiveness from other people-like you said-when there is no punishment worth avoiding not to? Why should we obey the rules when there is no reason to? Are morals not defined by our belief in the existence of higher reasoning and punishment?

God doesn't just make what you want happen instantaneously; he does things when the time is right. He is always aware of you and whatever you may be going through, and he is there to help you. The simplest way to answer your question would be: "God is."

    Homophobia

I am not a homophobe. I am not gay, nor do I actually know anyone who is, but I do not openly support it. I don't condemn it, either. I see nothing wrong with that choice people make, and if it's genetic, well, that's not their fault.

    Deja Vu

I've experienced deja vu several times in the past. It feels like I've fallen into a time warp and viewed the past. It's really creepy.

I guess it's also possible that our brains are able to view the future subconciously, but whatever the cause, I've felt it, and it scares me.

It's not like there haven't been natural disasters for all of human history. I mean, sure the global situation is bad, but that's humanity's doing not God's. If he did have a sign for us, it wouldn't be so destructive. God doesn't use pain & suffering to make a point. That's Satan's playing field.
