Lenin may have kicked the whole shebang off, but Stalin put millions of people into gulags for opposing him. He probably killed more people than Hitler and Mussolini combined. Stalin is by far worse.

I blame Political Correctness' stranglehold on American society. People are too worried about offending some marginal religious/ethnic group with about 5 members to actually say/do anything, and this has perverted pretty much every powerful American's thought processes into making dilute crap with no inherent value at all.

Seriously, if some tiny group chooses to get their panties in a bunch over some word use that could be construed to be directed at them, let them. Let them vent, let them moan, and get on with your lives. They can either get over it or grow some thicker skin than the paper-mache (sp?) stuff they have now.

I know. That's why I stopped using it. It was a far inferior choice than others. Actually, I haven't gotten any new songs in a while, on account of not having any money.

I can't put this into an official format, but I can debate this.

Vigilantes are great at taking out the bad guy, but unless they kill him, they will always have serious issues with actually locking them away. unless he ends up dead, the criminal will always get out of court because the evidence against them is never gathered in a manner acceptable to law enforcement. Entrapment, illegal search and seizure, kidnapping - these seem to be the mainstay of vigilante justice. It's only justified, IMO, when A) there is NO legal system whatsoever (anarchy), or B) if the legal system is COMPLETELY corrupt - every single judge, lawyer, and juror is bought by the criminals.

    18) Already Over - Red - 12

    20) Blow Me Away - Breaking Benjamin - 12

These are so low because I just re-loaded them after getting my computer re-formatted a few days ago, and I spent a while rebuilding my playlists.

Wow, I have a lot of Breaking Benjamin on my list... I didn't realize I liked it THAT much... lol.

I know they may be (and probably are) covers, but most of those songs were originally written by The Beatles. Not that that's a bad thing. I love the Beatles. I just haven't re-built my classic rock playlist yet.

I may not have either of them, but I do have iTunes, and it absolutely SUCKS. I can't even find a way to transfer the songs I got there off the program (so I can play them on my Media Player and use them in Vegas) without using a disc. Aside from that, it's clunky and doesn't have NEARLY as complete a song library as it claims to have.

Therefore, I will have to shun any Apple products, and say Zune.

The original ones from the Epic of Gilgamesh, the Babylonian story, or are there bosses named that in FF? (I haven't really played that many - all I know is from KH and AMVs. And from Advent Children, which I have watched. I just don't have time to play 12+ games)

Quoted for truth. Bolded for absolute frikken WIN.

I agree with everything here. And with gossip, if someone seriously wants to believe someone else about something you did/said/whatever, without even listening to your explanation, they don't deserve to talk to you. A person like that is, in my mind, lower than garbage.

Lord of the Rings was a live-action movie, yet Gollum, appearing in all 3 movies, was completely CG. The last 2 Star Trek movies (not counting the new ones) used entirely CG ships. The Matrix movies had tons of special effects, yet they were all live action (not counting the Animatrix, which I have not seen). They can do SO much with live action special effects, it's not even funny.

The thing that will make or break this movie is the cast, the acting, and the story. If they make it too similar to the original, people who have watched the series might not want to see it again, so to speak. If they change too much, loyal fans will get outraged. It's a fine line to walk.

I have never been able to see any Star Trek movie in theaters. I am going to see this one. It is my one ambition in life right now. If you are going to watch Star Trek at any point, I might recommend starting with this newest one and then going Star Trek: Motion Picture all the way chronologically to Nemesis. Trust me, they're VERY worth it. And, with all of them, they try to make it so that, even if you've never heard of the show, you will be able to understand the movies.

On topic, though, the only things that bug me are:

    A) the enemy is supposed to be a Romulan, yet it was said in one of the original series' episodes that no Romulan had ever been seen by anyone in the Federation.
    B) I'm kind of curious about the combat sequences in this movie. An interview I read said that the director is a huge Star Wars fan, which means lots of dogfighting, lots of action and movement. The ships in Star Trek, however, are WAY too big to dogfight with - they move too slowly. So it will be interesting to see how this plays out.

Other than that, it looks like a kickass movie, with characters that fangirls can drool over for generations.

I don't believe her defense for one second. She's obviously going for the insanity plea, which is way too overused in courts today.

Yea, ours was a wire in the ground transmitting a signal to a collar whenever the dog got too close to the fence. We must be thinking of different things, though, and I'm too tired to worry about it.

Oh please. I don't believe this story for one second. It's all lies and bullshit. No one is harvesting people for their organs. No one needs to be afraid of the people whose sole job is to save lives. The oath that every doctor takes starts off with the phrase "do no harm".

A scalpel can both save someones life and take it. A computer, if dropped in water, can kill someone. A hammer can bash someone's skull in. A pencil can kill, if used wrong. Hell, even LIGHT is a form of radiation. A nuclear bomb's radiation is secondary to the explosion, and is a completely different type of radiation. Chemotherapy is completely harmless in the long run, and has saved countless millions of lives. Are you really willing to let cancer patients DIE simply because a technique is merely similar to a machine of war? If you even think yes, you sicken me.

There are some programs out there that pose as an anti-virus or anti-trojan, and really install some crap on your comp that's next to impossible to get off. Beware of ANY pop-ups online.
