I mean it's possible. The man made millions of people hate clowns, I wouldn't put it past him. It wants it's revennnnnggge. None of us are safe...
Just don't get attached. Read into every character like they're going to die. Because they probably are.
I'm sorry you're having such a hard time with this. I'm sure you'll get a lot of advice and sympathy because you mean a great deal to people here, and you're such a sweetheart. First off, the why. Since it seems to be a specific age that precursors the onset of the behavior, I would immediately think that something happened to your mother at that age to make her act this way. It could be that it was traumatic, or devastating in a physical or emotional way. You and your sister should know that it's nothing you did, and none of it is in any way your fault. It honestly sounds like your mom has the parenting (I don't know all the medical jargon) part of her brain switched off. She doesn't seem to recognize that you are her kids and you need to be loved and protected by her, not from her. This can be caused by a history of drug and alcohol abuse, but the only way to make it better is to get her help, and make her see a psychologist. It could also be a sort of bipolar disease or anxiety disorder, but again, without a licensed professional it's really hard to diagnose a mental illness. I do believe it is strongly related to the age. A lot of girls start going through puberty at or around this age. It's a stretch, but it could be a severe lack of judgement coupled with a strong sense of jealousy. You're getting to go through school and boyfriends and being young, and your mom is only getting older. It's a stretch, but it's entirely possible that she's upset because of this and she can't handle it constructively, instead taking her emotions out on the ones she perceives as causing it. Now, what to do about it. If the abuse starts to escalate and you or your sister are fearful of your safety or your life at any time, call the police. You and your sister can back each other up as evidence, and if there's physical proof, it'll only strengthen your case. Despite the downsides, which I'll type in a second, I strongly recommend this, because your life is much too important to be thrown away. If you do call the police and they file for domestic assault, they will be forced to take you and your sister, unless you're of legal age to live on your own, to your father, your aunt, or a social worker. If no one in your family can care for you, this has the potential to land you and your sister in the foster care system. I don't know how good it is where you are, but it's not usually a good situation. If you can't go with your dad, and you can't trust your aunt, I would recommend seeing if there's a way to get your grandmother and grandfather to live with you and your sister. Since they are of age, they could technically take custody of you, you would just have to sort through how you would come up with enough money to make a living. It's not the best option, but it is an option. You can also look into legal emancipation. In Minnesota, if you are sixteen you can file for emancipation and live as an adult on your own. There are different specifics in different states and countries, but you may be able to file as a result of abuse, and take your sister with you if you can work within the confines of the law. It's a little more technical then the other two, but it might be your best shot. I still would recommend maybe trying to talk to your aunt. Maybe she knows why your mom acts this way, or has some insight. Even if she doesn't automatically believe you, she might turn her opinion around after thinking about it. Maybe your grandparents could talk to her too and explain the situation. This is a really hard thing to go through on your own, and while everyone here will give you advice and love and virtual hugs, physical family and friends can offer an escape that we can't. I wish you all the best and I hope you find the solution you're looking for.
I get the strangest looks when I tell people I'm into video games. Apparently I don't look like the type. "No way! Do you play like Candy Crush?" "Nope. More of an RPG/FPS kind of gamer." "OMFG NO WAY. Have you heard of something called Call of Duty." "Yup. Getting pretty good with the tomahawks." "OMFG ROTFL NO WAY. You don't look at all like a gamer. More like a business person." And on. And on. And on.

You know...it's such a downer to get all excited about finally getting back in the RP game, and then seeing that good old locked down symbol. But I'll leave this here in the hopes you get guilted into opening the thread again. Name: Kara Jereign Age: 23 Appearance: Missing the pinky on her left hand. Spoiler Race: Hume House: Dahaka Occupation: Mercenary for hire Gear: Satchel with a strap for supplies. One double headed axe wtih a grip in the middle. Stands as high as her hip, weight balanced between the axe head and the staff, made of iron. Sign: Ifrit Bio: The second daughter of a farmer, Kara left home at fifteen rather then agree to an arranged marriage with the neighbor's boy. Working her way through the streets with thievery, luck, and charm, she managed to establish herself as the assistant to a local band of mercenaries. She learned combat and rudimentary reading skills, and worked her way into their good graces until at last, she became one of them. Her first act was to take a one year contract that would take her far away from her native Dorne and into the unknown of the Westerlands. Now, as her contract begins to reach its end, she turns her sights onto what she should do next.....and making sure she gets paid the rest of her share. Other: Wake up and unlock the RP and let's do this.
Yeah, I think that was one of the last ones I participated in. It was so much fun @_@ God don't say that, I'll feel so f*cking old. Maybe I'll...
Since they're confirmed for having Tangled, I feel like adding Frozen would be a little too much of the 2013 generation of princesses. They should feel free to add Sleeping Beauty or Snow White or one of the classics, but there's only so much feminism one game can take. Not to mention a lot of the fans that have been supporting this game have grown up with classic Disney, and I hope the studio takes into consideration how powerful the nostalgia factor can be. It would be nice if, instead of repeating worlds that have already had two goes, they bring back something from the first that only got one shot. Wonderland, for example, or Neverland could be scaled up from just the clocktower and the ship. I love the recurring worlds (most of the time), but the possibilities for worlds they could add instead are pretty much limitless. Atlantis: The Lost Empire would be a fantastic add, but I feel that Lilo and Stitch have a stronger chance of appearing, especially since Stitch was a previous summon, and we've visited the worlds of other previous summons like Simba and Mushu. While we haven't seen the worlds of ALL the summons, I think it gives them a greater foothold. I agree with the statements above that Marvel and Starwars should have a presence, but not a strong one. I think that Starwars is pretty much guaranteed, given how big they're going to become with the return of the movie franchise and Battlefront games. Agrabah will probably come back to give the King of Thieves storyline, and I wouldn't be surprised if the Little Mermaid returned with Melody as the star instead of Ariel (that'd be pretty cool actually), but I'm hoping against hope that they drop the Pirates of the Caribbean idea. Other then that, any other recurring worlds would definitely be welcome.
You have a cruel imagination. That is all.
Ah, those were the good old days. That's funny, I was actually thinking of possibly venturing into the RP section and seeing if anything good was...
I see what you did there B) Living the dream of a broke college student, and yourself?
The real question is; DO YOU REMEMBER ME?
As stated above, it's lucky versus unlucky. Seven against thirteen is basically like light versus dark (another strong theme in Kingdom Hearts), or good versus bad (ditto). It's just another way to place a dividing line between who you want to win and who you want to lose. It's often a ploy of screen writers, authors and poets to put a reversal on the roles you find an object or character traditionally playing. A good example is Paradise Lost by John Milton. Instead of taking the side of God, he projects the story from Lucifer's point of view (it's actually quite good with footnotes). It also depends on the predominant culture, superstitions and religions of the area that the story, movie or TV show is created. Superstition with the number 13 probably started with the Mayans, who believed that number would lead to the apocalypse. After that, monks who were in charge of creating calenders and marking festival days would have a harder time if the year held 13 full moons instead of only 12, so they named it as unlucky. Old cultures that celebrated femininity and worshiped the moon considered 13 to be feminine symbol because of the lunar symbols, thus one of good luck. Most Italians also consider 13 to be lucky and 17 to be unlucky. Myself, I've always found it ironic that Organization 13 had thirteen members, while Jesus and his twelve apostles make up 13. With that in mind, technically they made Xemnas into Jesus.
Minor spoiler for Kingdom Hearts I Spoiler Leon. For whatever reason I could never beat him. Secret spoiler for Kingdom Hearts II Spoiler Sephiroth. I don't think I've ever combined so many swear words or said so many insulting sentences as I did with this battle. I managed to beat him after three days and countless tries, but I will never do it again. Chain of Memories, it was Larxene. I never beat the game because of her. Can't speak for Birth by Sleep, 358/2 or DDD, I never bought the former and never finished the latter.
I'll probably shed a tear when I see how much everyone has grown. Not so much Donald and Goofy because I'm pretty sure they're incapable of aging, but Sora, Riku and Kairi have, in a way, grown up with a lot of us. To me Kingdom Hearts is a mixture of my childhood days spent with Disney and my teenage years doted on Final Fantasy. It's always going to have a nostalgic feeling attached to it.
