B would not be rewarding in comparison to building real skill.

C is a hollow wish if it is independent of knowledge of the history and culture of gaming. No game made will be worth a cent.

D is pointless; the nostalgia will wear out. Better to build a bright future than cling to a flickering past.

The mystery box is a goddamn boat

I'll take A. It comprises qualities that will be useful in playing, in a career, and in dialogue with the community.

Dante Basco, yeah. And I only figured he was Zuko's kid because he was named Iroh. That's a pretty personal thing for Zuko in particular, doesn't seem like something a descendant would be as jazzed about. Could be wrong, though.

People act like she's dead. Let's go over the facts:

    1) Badass Normals are a thing. They are a beautiful thing, and they especially shine in the arena of heroic vigilantism. Point of order: Batman.
    2) There are established methods for non-benders to stay in the game in this series.
    3) Lin is descended from TOPH. MOTHERFUCKING TOPH. Nothing short of a bullet to the brain is going to stop her from seeking justice. AND THOSE HAVEN'T BEEN INVENTED YET.

If anything, this is her call to show everyone what she's really made of.

I do what I do best: Talk, write, and play games. Talk it out with someone trustworthy, write with some music to distract myself, or discharge my anger through a controller and the bodies of some hapless rag dolls. Hopefully as soon as possible; retaining anger is VERY dangerous for me, or more specifically the people around me.

I don't know why everyone else was disappointed with the ending of Uzumaki. It's not like it was insubstantial. Just very, very eastern. A cycle complete, a long journey come to its end.

Maybe I'm better off because I know in advance that Junji stops writing horror half-way through-*brick'd*

Holy shit, are people still debating this?

Ok, let's put this in perspective.

I can't find an active D.Gray-man forum, and that is still updating.

We're technically in the Kingdom Hearts "off season," so to speak, and this place still gets about 61 new posts daily.

    It's active enough.

I haven't read the whole thing, but I know how it ends.

I might as well turn off spoilers on TVTropes.

Leaving the seat up sets off my pseudo-OCD. Guess I'll never have to worry about it. :L

Except I also put the lid down which apparently has caused ladies some grief before.

And I'm willing to bet they're the only three worth seeing-*brick'd*

I'd go somewhere else, but I can't find anywhere else to go. This is the only one of my interests that's mainstream enough to still have active forums, lol.

Am I the only one who's less interested in the dual-blade aspect and more in the fact that the dual-bladed Keyblade is made out of Sora's light and Mickey's dark Keyblade?! I want to know how THAT factored into plans for KHII, and why it was eventually dropped. We might've been missing something spectacular.

...Not to be rude, but I'm not sure you know what you're talking about. The game can render two Keyblades simultaneously; a dual-bladed Keyblade might actually have been easier to render, since it would only count as one object.

And that tip essentially holds in all cases. Destroy everything you see and you should be fine. Not sure there's a call for a whole in-depth level guide, especially when there's GameFAQS to be had.

I'm hoping for more secret boss-level characters, like Ultimecia or Jecht. Might also be neat to see some summons from the series, but I have a feeling it's not gonna happen.

On the heroes' side, I'm hoping the games already represented will see more side characters come into the fray, like Barrett Wallace or Irvine Kinneas. Pretty much the only Squeenix characters established right now are either protagonists, female supporting characters, or fan-favorites with plot-specific applications like Cid "Gummi Shipz" Highwind or Zack "Hades Stop F%&king with FF Characters' Minds" Fair; it'd be nice to see some more variety there.

Did they really touch on those themes with the Heartless, though? It's only been approached by certain ones, or only in a specialized context. For instance, the only water-themed Heartless have mostly stuck to Atlantica, where they're consigned to be fishes or deep-sea divers. Maybe in an Avatar context you might see a surfer Heartless, or something like that.

Just me nitpicking, but if the initial-ism in the thread title were disassembled, the whole thing would read: "What's your favorite role playing game game?" Point being, the second "game" is redundant, so you don't need it when referring to RPGs.

My favorite? Hell... I play RPGs for a very specific reason. What always delighted me most about them was the distinct feeling of working your way up from a nobody to a hero, from a slum rat struggling with overgrown bats to a warrior loaded down with powerful artifacts and weapons, ready to take on the gods themselves. This in addition to a compelling narrative, exquisite enemy variety, impressive environments, and a whole mess of extra content.

All that in mind, I'd say my fondest experiences were with Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars, Final Fantasy IX, and Kingdom Hearts. I always got a real sense of progression playing those games. Retreading old ground was not a chore, but a delight, as I could compare my strength then and now as well as pick up any collectibles or unique gear I couldn't reach before. The environments were fresh and vivid, bosses were good fun, the story of each was a pleasure to watch unfold (lol), and each had its own unforgettable moments in narrative and gameplay aspects.

Runner-up goes to Growlanser Generations, comprised of Growlanser II: The Sense of Justice and Growlanser III: The Dual Darkness, both of which I like for very different reasons. They're essentially date-sim RPGs, but this lends itself to a surprising amount of attention to detail, both in character development and in PC-to-NPC interaction. Not to mention the battle system is unique in its own little ways, rewarding careful planning and deft management of resources. (Each game can also be horribly, horribly broken, but that's another matter entirely.)
