Squeenix should have some squiggly lines jutting out from it, especially one big one towards the end, but otherwise yeah that looks about right The set-up is cumbersome, but once you're actually in-game, long as you have a competent GM the plot moves at a pretty agreeable pace. Fights take a while but that's because they're basically played out in super slo-mo so you have time to think about each move. And there is usually a plot to speak of (again, depending on the GM), it's just that... well sometimes the players have other things on their mind.
:DDDD JIKU
D.Gray-Man pummels all three at once. AND IT BRINGS EVERYONE HOME SAFE. Spoiler ...Ok maybe not everyone
No That is totally ok
Hold. yo ass. up. This is why you people got to be more specific. I thought you were responding to the way I explained it. The image? is a joke. It's an exaggeration. It's supposed to be fun-nee. It's picking up on an archetype and drawing it out to absurd lengths to get a cheap laugh. Not to mention it came from the chans so it's going to lean towards abrasiveness. Regardless, you are still very much missing the point. Now please stow the PoCo mumbo-jumbo and go play yo'self a pen-and-paper RPG bro, it's good fo' yo' soul
We should rename this thread Truth or Truth ToT next taker* EDIT: Not taking another one from Jayn since it's greedy to double up. So hers is still open.
...Yes it does. What it says is simply not guaranteed in 100% of all cases. You can't say there isn't an over-arching trend in the styles of games from the respective countries. To make such an assertion would be to deny, and perhaps even insult, the unique culture and socio-political environments from which developers, writers, and artists in the field draw their ideas. Those cultures are of course always expanding, and outliers crafting unique experiences on both sides of the ocean, but the trend is there, it's observable, and more importantly, it's fun to poke at. Bee tee dub, totally missing the point. GJ.
...I was going to shout at you Then I realized you are absolutely right EDIT: For that matter, let's add StingRPG: Deceptively linear plot with lots of obtuse symbolism and voices from on high, where you HAVE to consult a guide or else you will be stuck at the halfway point of the game facing a bad ending and having missed a ton of awesome gear and party members you didn't know existed AND SOMEHOW YOU ARE STILL HAVING A BLAST
JRPGs are highly linear and accessible to a fault WRPGs are more linear than they want you to believe and complex to a fault Pen-and-paper RPGs are who gives a shit I can turn into a goddamn bear
This is pretty much exactly how it works
DO NOT QUESTION THE DEVIL Yeah actually it makes more sense in reverse. Fixing.

Truth. Don't you still have one from me, or did I miss your response? ...Eh, whatever. What's your favorite color? Your favorite shade/hue of that color? The color you think best compliments your favorite? I'm not really a part of any "fandoms;" either that, or I am a part of too many to name. But I know why you asked so here's my answer. The people who write within the trollverse (or HSverse in general {or any 'verse really}) while blatantly disregarding the, yes, binding rules dictated by canon, or blatantly disregard the characters' personalities (as opposed to amplifying, interpreting, or parodying them). The mechanics are what they are for a reason. If you break a rule, wittingly or no, it is not authentic. If you feel the need to break a rule, you might as well go the whole nine yards and write something original. If that's too much work, you have underestimated writing, gtfo. My profession is not a party trick, and I'll kindly thank the better half of the world to stop treating it like one. The "you" above being a generic omni-referential "you," of course; to my knowledge, you (Plums) have made no such faux pas. And honestly that can apply to nearly anything I could remotely consider myself a "fan" of (and most things I absolutely wouldn't) T o D next taker*

NOVA'S YOU CAN'T HANDLE THE TRUTH PURPLE SUNSHINE CARNIVAL PARTY ACT 3 ZONE 1 ROUND 4 LET'S ROCK This one's a two-parter. In the scenario, you are a character in a work of fiction. A very badass one. You are making your final stand against a seemingly endless horde. 1. Choose one of the following outcomes. A) You are the hero of this tale, and you are about to go out with a bang. You will most certainly die, but you're taking as many of these bastards with you as you can. They will not recover from the losses they suffer at your hands, and the people you champion will carry on your spirit and wipe out what remains of your enemy. B) You are the hero of this tale. You fight to rescue your love, and just before you are defeated, you hear her call your name. You know you cannot die, or else what will have been the point? You could not bear the thought of her sadness. You call upon your last vestige of strength to strike through the enemy ranks and defeat the leader, sending the rest scurrying off in a frenzy. You survive, if only just, and are reunited with your love. C) You are a supporting character. You may not live. You may not even win. But the time you buy for the hero will ensure his victory. You will be remembered fondly by your comrades and heralded as a hero in your own right. D) You are the villain. You have just awakened to a magnificent power. What stands before you now is the sum of the resistance, rag-tag band of heroes included. And they are all going to die. 2. What is your final battle theme?

Hm... Ok, I know there are multiple Geasses, but I'm not sure what the range of powers is? Looking up... Huh. This is more complex than I thought. A sort of wish that grants a mentally-oriented power with explicit limitations... Ok, I've got something. I'd go for the power to subtly alter the realities of others and myself. Its restriction would be that I could never blatantly overstep a person's beliefs, e.g. shoot fire from my hand if they were resolute enough that it couldn't be done. But I could gently coax them into believing, for instance, things about my personality--or perhaps more physical things, like a shadow darting out of sight from the corner of their eye... It would not require eye contact, but it would depend on my eye/eyes and brain functioning properly of course.

Blew off Rissy recently, actually. Feel like a complete heel. I mean the lowest of the low. I'm still not sure how it happened, I guess I didn't have the words to comfort her so I shied away from it like a coward. Sort of led to a downward spiral of me pushing people away and feeling bad for hurting them.
