Speaking as a nearly 23yro guy (With a girlfriend whom I've been with for over 5 years), I can tell you why most guys tend to like it. Being attracted to the female of the species and admitting that looks are attractive...What could be better to see than 2 hot anime-style girls getting it on. (My GF knows I look at this stuff and doesn't mind as most of what I look at is hentai and thus, not real people.) Also I should point out that guy on guy aka Yaoi is a serious turn-off for me. I'm straight, not Bi, and thus not interested in looking at other guys at all.

Actually, if you recall, MX was going to leave Ventus at Destiny Islands until his keyblade appeared again, at that point he took him to Erauqs. Also, we never saw Vanitas's face until AFTER the connection is made between Ventus and Sora. I believe that is when Vanitas was given that appearance. Until then he likely appeared as Ventus. As for the voice, they didn't want people confused and left them with the same VA, the one for Sora.
