There was one more thing I noticed. Throughout Death Note, there are MANY symbolic scenes that relate to, of all things, The Bible. But this episode TOOK THE CAKE. I never noticed it before, but the scene with L giving Light the foot massage is shockingly similar to the tale of Jesus and Mary Magdelin, don't you think? ;D At one point he even says "It's the least I can do to atone for my sins."
