Roxas was about to shout "LIAR!" when he saw Larxene appear, and the room was suddenly quiet, hearing her words. Glaring at Zexion a last time, he placed his sight on the female in the room that made Axel risk his life, lowering his keyblades a little. He knew that her and Axel had some kind of romantic relationship hearing what everyone else was saying, and he also understood Saïx's deal after he mentioned it many times in the lab, at least the little bits, expecially his words when they found Axel in Addled Impasse. and before any of them could say anything, he answered roughly, "You know want to know where Axel is? He's in there. " Roxas pointed at the glowing blue machine. "His life is at stake, he's dying, and almost faded away, all because of Saïx and their fight. It was....about you Larxene, it looks like, since that's what Axel, from I heard, kept fighting for. And Zexion tried to sabotage the only way he could perhaps live, why do you think I have my keyblades out at him?! Decoration?! If I wasn't hiding, Zexion could've of..." At this, he stopped himself, not willing to finish that grave fact, and he glanced at Vexen, directing this bit of information at him as well. Vexen just blinked, a bit surpised at the sharp and out of nowhere turn of events. He was a bit surprised at what Zexion tried to do, though he kind of understood, as he remembered their old conversation to get rid of all obstacles and hindrances. Of course, he already knew of what Zexion mentioned of Roxas' "friendship" with Axel, so that was quite a given. As said, he didn't care for Axel's life, so it didn't matter, but he did care about his machine, so he was glad Roxas stopped what he was going to do to it. But now... Now it seemed that Axel's two most precious people were here, and my, what a reunion it was. Vexen simply stared at them all, not really knowing what to say in all this. It seemed Larxene will finally get the truth of what happened.
"So what if I do have a 'emotional attachment' to Axel as my best friend? That's none of your business. Instead of me keeping out of this, protecting what's important to me, you should follow your own damn advice and stop getting in the way of people's lives!" Roxas exclaimed at him, gritting his teeth as he narrowed his eyes, not at all moving from the position that he had placed himself in. Everyone knew how Zexion played, and he wasn't going to fall for the lie that he wasn't trying to harm him. "I could care less what your plans are for the Organization is...yes, your plans, not ours. I'm in no way turning my back on the group, except on you. It seems you have your own agenda, and if taking Axel's remaining life is going to aid you, then think again, *******!" He was surprised to find that he had used vulgar words, but he couldn't help himself as rage and resentment picked up. He was trying to kill Axel, and for what? Roxas didn't care if they weren't suppose to feel, what he had with Axel was true, and he was going to protect it. "Yes, Sir," Vexen recited as he gave a firm nod, standing up, and with another small wave, he portalled out of the room to leave Saïx to rest, heading straight into his lab, only to find to his horror Roxas out with his keyblades and Zexion standing there calmly, but alert. Vexen clenched his hand into a fist as he felt a headache pop up a the event going on, knowing that this is what happens when he left anybody alone in here. He thought Zexion was speaking to Xangel, but she was nowhere to be found, and instead, Roxas was in her place, pointing his Oblivion at the Cloaked Schemer. He decided to make his presence known," What in the worlds is going on?!"
Tifa sighed as she finished with her hairstyle, adding one mored ab of hairspray to end it. She had decided to do a high ponytail, as a braided bun encircled the top, to add a bit of the moment. Tifa pondered over if she should put some kind of barrette in it, or leave it like that, but since, it was just a simple dance, she decided to scrap it, and went on to put her sapphire earrings and necklace. She placed light make-up, just a bit of lip gloss and slight blue eye shadow, before getting up from her seat, looking for her shoes. Finding them, she sat on the edge of the bed, and placed them on, closing the blue straps as she bent down, wanting to be ready before Cloud got here. Sighing in relief when she finished, she looked up, and spotted the broach gleaming on the table. Smiling, she went to it, grabbing it softly in her fingers, she opened the needle clip, and clicked it closed carefully on the middle of her front, so it would appear that it went with the dress. Giggling, she spun around as she eyed the mirror, ready. Axel was now half-running throughout the whole school when he found out it was 6: 30, and he couldn't get into his room without finding Roxas. He had tried his best friend's room, but either he didn't hear or wasn't there, and now he was rushing, knowing that he was going to be late in picking Rei up, or even getting ready himself. Of course, he didn't regret giving the key to Larxene, and she gave him her own, but now he had to scout Roxas....and fast.
OOC: I was actually making Roxas hide in a closet ever since CG told me I could use him, so I was like "Oh snap" when I read what Zexion was doing, and edit it xD. Saïx is 7. "I'm sure you were, Zexion," Roxas growled, his body filled with fury, yet his tone held a bit of sarcasm, as he didn't remove the Oblivion pointed at him. If he was going to do anything, he'll make that he won't be able to ever again. Is Axel's life, or his, and Roxas never liked the Cloaked Schemer anyway. But he couldn't believe what he tried to do, did he hold some resentment for his best friend? Now it seemed Axel had to be guarded from people like him. Eyeing him sharply and deadly, as he stood between the coffin like machine and Zexion, he spoke, "The machine seems to be working swell, Zexion, so I suggest you let it go. Truly, what the hell were you trying to do? I'm not stupid, so don't pretend I am." "...and that's what is going on. I don't know myself exactly what Zexion is planning with the girl, but I'd say just let him be," Vexen finished, sitting on one of the chairs Saïx offered, as the said Luna Diviner took a seat on the edge of his bed, listening. He just wanted to get back to his lab, even with Zexion there, he hated people trespassing. Saïx nodded, putting all this in mind, and prepared to tell the Superior if he doesn't know, all except about Axel and Larxene. Despite him wanting to inform him, the deal was made, and he was going to follow it. It would all end up in his favor anyway, whether Axel makes it or not. Thinking that he needed a good sleep at the moment, he gave Vexen a look. "Very well. I appreciate the explanation, and you can leave now, if you wish to."
OOC: *gasp* Zexion is such...such a...when did he become so evil? xD Roxas had been hiding ever since Saïx told him he could come, much like this Xangel, though he didn't stand there, he found place to cover himself as he heard everything Vexen had explained. It was a smelly, so Zexion wouldn't be able to pick up his scent mixed with the rest of the odors easily. It didn't help the thought of the machine, if something goes wrong with that, Axel could... He shook his head, feeling his eyes hot and his vision getting blurry....again. He'll be fine, and he will visit a few times as well. Besides, Axel had to explain this whole thing with Larxene, who he had feelings for and vice-versa. How did this happen? Hearing Zexion say something, he remained still, wondering what he was going to do...if he was thinking of sabotaging Axel, he will definitely be getting two keyblades up his *ss. He made a little crack to see a little through the door he was behind, and almost jumped in shock when he saw Zexion heading towards the wires. Feeling a surge of anger, he kicked the door to the hiding place off, summoning his keyblades in blinding white lights as they apeared in his hands, glaring at Zexion. He quickly ran to him, and pushed him off from the machine to avoid him doing any harm, and he stood protectively over the casket that held Axel inside, his weapons in arm, and the Oblivion pointed at him. "What the hell are you doing?!"
OOC: Oh man...poor Larxene xP. Seriously. I hate when they are all happy and calm until the damage is done :/. Axel sighed as he watched her walk away, and he remained there for a few minutes, standing and simply staring at the almost starry sky, watching the sun dip back into the mountains overhead, now just a tiny minuscule of light. He couldn't believe what just happened, and here he thought that she was going to say eveything opposite of what she had said. After all, even if he managed to confront his feelings to himself and let it out in the open, he would have expected rejection. After a while, thinking that he waited enough, he began to head towards the stairs as well, opening the door, and going down, thinking intently on everything that just occurred. He somehow wished the circumstances were different...like why she had to be a Prep, and he a Skater? Axel definitely could see himself dating her a long time ago by then... Tifa breathed tiredly as she got into her dark blue dress, spaghetti strapped in the back, tight on the bodice, but flowed out beautifully as the skirt. It was a bit low cut on the chest area, yet she made sure she didn't get one that went too far, with her size and all. Waving her hand to her face, she sat on a nearby chair, facing the wide mirror in her bureau, and grabbed a few clips to begin doing a style to her blow-dried hair, wondering how much time had passed since she took a shower.
"She's still on with this?" Axel asked increduously, as he reached up to them. He was clad in a black, unbuttoned shirt, so the wind blew the flaps around, a red towel was around his neck, and wet, dark red swimming trunks grazed the lower part of his body. Despite being the element of fire, the water was so warm and just perfect to swim in. He looked at Naminé with a reprimanding stare. "You need to seriously let it go. So what if we burned a few trees? They'll live the damage of Axel Inferno."
OOC: I'm surprised there's not many on today before xP. Tuesday blues? I want CG to be here so I can ask her if I could be Roxas momentarily at times... "Well, since I have nothing more to do here, I guess I will take my leave. I need to rest after what happened," Saïx began to dismiss, as he stared over at Zexion and the new intruder, Xangel, was her name. What was she doing in their premises? And Zexion was talking to her as if she was his...comrade. "What is she doing here in our castle?" Vexen sighed as he scratched the back of his head, glancing at his machine, before placing his eyes on Saïx seriously, who appeared ready to go Berserk again. "I will explain that to you in a moment...in your room, Saïx. " He eyed Zexion for a moment, doing what he asked of him, even for just a moment, and getting a nod from Saïx, they both portalled out, leaving Zexion and Xangel alone, with the covered unconscious Axel in the machine.
"Tell me?" "No." "Why not?" "Cause no." "But you need to tell me what is your idea of fun if I'm going to be in it. What if I mess up without knowing what is it we're doing?" "Part of the fun is the surprise. And you can't mess this up if you have common sense." "Come on......I've seen a few girls around, you know, I've talked to them...could hook you up if you actually spill." "....really?" "...no." Axel shook his head and went back to laying on Roxas' bed on his back, looking at the white ceiling, his legs dangling of the edge of the matress. After playing a good video game (that they got when they found a world of electronics thanks to Demyx...and they "borrowed" it) when they got back from their trip to Twilight Town, Roxas began to question him nonstop about what is it they were going to do, and it was bothering him. If he admits anything, Roxas won't do it or budge. Thinking that maybe he should give him some clue, Axel hinted, "We have to get stuff from the kitchen...booby traps. Girls. And that's it." "For what?" Roxas questioned in a worried tone, as he sat and leaned at the side of his bed, throwing a ball up and down as they both continued their conversation. Sometimes when Axel was bored, he did crazy things, and being his best friend, got dragged into it, though he always blames it on the redhead as he claims innocence. "I don't want to get in trouble, Axel. And....what do you mean by girls? You're not thinkin-" Axel smirked as he disrupted him. "I'm not thinking anything. Is just a few things there. Trust me." "....greeeeat..."
"No, he's trapped in there, now frozen for the while. He's on the brink of death, he can't hear, feel, or sense anything. All we can do is wait and see that nothing goes wrong. The machine glitches and breaks, Axel...well, you can guess. Risky. At least is working fine so far, but I needed a victim to test and see for bugs, and I guess Axel automatically is one as said before. I'm not really concerned much for him if he lives or dies, however," Vexen replied honestly, after all, him and the redhead never got along, and he had been waiting for him to be gone in some way. Patting the top of the machine, he sighed, before he gazed at Zexion. "Though you seem to be a bit anxious, Zexion?" Saïx stared at them both quietly, still exhausted from his exertion from going into his mode, but he had to know something, or rarther, take care of the other one who was in the relationship. "Does anyone know where Number XII is? I need to speak with her as well...I won't tell her about Number VIII, of course. If she...'loves' him so much, heh, she'll find out herself." OOC: They're too in thought to sense Xangel is there xD
"I'll be waiting for it...Larxene," Axel imitated huskily at her with his own sensual smile, trying to stop a smile for as not to ruin the sexy image as her kiss sent another flutter in his stomach, and he couldn't wait, really, to be near her soon. Even if not making-out or touching, then simply talking. Since he didn't take long to get ready, he wanted to stay here for awhile, then look for Roxas for the key and to hang out for awhile. He hasn't really done that lately. Then later pick Rei up...if he's not late. Watching Larxene's back, he stated, "I'll go after you when you leave, can't be seen together. But be prepared when we do see each other after."
OOC: I think I'm liking Larxene's insecurities xP. Makes the situation more real. Vexen held in a breath when he went to turn it on, more in anticipation for the casket like machine than Axel inside. He almost squealed when the white surface lit up into a bright shade of blue as a humming begin to resonate around the room from the workings, a few beeps heard as the life monitor turned on, showing the green lines of Axel's progress. It works! It works! Success! Vexen wanted to jump aup and down and hug his prjoect, but decided that since Saïx and Zexion were here to relax. Save it for later, and after all, he still had to wait to see if there were any malfunctions that can happen, ending Axel's life, not the the redhead wasn't losing it before. Breathing in, he swirled his body around to the two, and looked at them content, but serious. "Now since we have done that, I shall finish explaining from before. After the machine freezes him, but doesn't stop the blood flow, preserve him, etc., it starts to heal whatever cuts have been done. The reason I stitched? Is because it doesn't close on deep gashes as this one, or anything deep, so that had to be fixed...let's just say, there won't be a scar if he makes it. Since he lost a lot of blood, the machine also provides minerals and what the body needs to recover that I had placed in before all this as he rests inside. That's how you usually get your strength back when you donate blood, right? If it works...then it can stop Axel from dying as he slowly regains energy. You saw that it looked like a scanner, and that's how it works. The blue light glows internally as much as it glows in the exterior, not only does it gives the said minerals, that serves as food and water, it actually compresses like gravity the darkness to his body so he will stop fading...not stop it exactly, slowing it down, until he regains his senses and life force back. That's when he will permanently stop fading. At least that's the purpose I was heading for. Any questions?" He stared at Saïx and Zexion expectantly. Saïx had been listening intently to his explanation, quite interested in this machinery that he had made. If nothing bad occurred to it when curing Axel, as he was the "guinea pig" for it at the same time, it might also work for all their Organization when on the brink of fading, if they find them in time. Low, he asked, "How long will it take Number VIII to get healthy?" Vexen placed a finger on his chin as he thought it over. "Depending on how bad it is...it can either be one or two days tops."
OOC: That is, if after the dance she isn't sad or pissed xD. Axel smirked at her suggestion as he took his earphones off his neck when he took out his iPod again, rolling it around the machine as he clicked the "Hold" switch. Putting it back in his pants pocket again, this time permanently for now, he eyed her softly, the smirk turning into a smile a she saw her expression. "I'd like that, but...." At this, he raised his eyebrows slyly, knowing there was a devious twinkle in his eyes, as he joked sexily, "I'd love the sound of a dorm, you know..."
OOC: Is right here xP, it was only two pages back though.
OOC: Yeah but...wow. His intentions are good, yet he isn't, like Ryuk said, he will be just as bad as the rest, and the only one left. He's already corrupted by the power from first glance to me, wants to create his own utopia and take over (that's dictatorship) and as predicted from what you mentioned, he does get darker. Do not like him xP. Firekeyblade, careful. You might the cause of Axel's death xP. He's fading, not even energy or healing can do that (then all the Org. members would have lived in some way). Is already too late (if you read my other Vexen posts). And it doesn't slow down the dying process, it can save him by stopping him from fading. The bad thing is that it might go wrong, and that's where I have to think on what Axel's fate is...
Tifa sighed as she grabbed her towel, wanting to head to the bathroom , take a shower, and get ready fast; the hair was the problem that was going to take long. Since this was a "emergency", might as well help her for a little bit. "Aerith, you won't wear too much pink. Is that the color of your dress, you have to wear things that match it as well. Besides, I don't think Leon would be turned-off in any way. Just relax, and...just wear what you think is pretty." Grabbing a few pieces of cloth, she went forward to the bathroom, all in a hurry, thinking that Cloud might be ready. Opening the door to it, she said a bit out of breath. "Listen, I have to get ready. I'll talk to you later, I guess. Bye!" With that, she hung up the cell, and put it in a nearby table, not wanting to waste anymore time.
OOC: I JUST watched the first episode of Death Note. Awesome :D. Like Nymph, I like romance in anime, but there's Misa...a little. Anyway, first episode and I already detest Light :). I just plain don't like him, twisted psycho freak from the very beginning. Maybe I'll like detective L better. And I just noticed Saïx's and Vexen's colors mesh so prettily. Saïx gave Vexen a domineering gaze, as if telling him not to order him around in his tone. However, he let this one slide due to the situation, as Vexen was the expert in this science, and stood up to walk where Axel was. He didn't know why Vexen couldn't carry him himself, but perhaps he didn't have the strength to. Hoisting Axel in his arms again, he glanced at his now stitched wounds, and eyed Vexen after. "Where do I take him, exactly?" "Follow me, and you too, Zexion, if you wish," Vexen replied slightly, and he began to walk forward to a more deserted corned of the lab. It wasn't far from where they were, and he found himself standing before a covered object before him. Vexen reached out his hand to take the sheets off, to reveal a coffin, or better placed, a casket, that had triangular shaping and angles, and was pure white. It was on a supporting table, and on the side were a few buttons and trinkets, a small screen next to it, that was suppose to work as a lifeline monitor akin to a hospital. Tracing the surface with a happy smile at his creation, he clicked open the lid, bringing it up, automatically the inside revealing something like what a computer, scanner would look like, except the clear window was on top. Staring at Saïx, he gestured to place him inside, noting that the wisps of darkness were almost getting out of control. At this rate... Saïx gave a nod, and went forward to discreetly placed the red head in, the white of it all clashing with his crimson hair and his black clothes. He was almost not breathing, Saïx could barely feel it anymore, and once he made the young man comfortable, he backed off as Vexen immediately took the spot, and rapidly closed the lid down, locking it again. The three people in the room (or so they thought), were quiet for a moment, before Saïx decided to speak himself, "What now?" "Now..." Vexen breathed, looking over the switches as he studied it intently. "Now we wait to see if it turns on or if it works. Remember the guinea pig remark you made, Saïx? This hasn't been tested, has never been traced for any bugs, so for any minute, it might short-circuit, taking Axel with it. After it even performs well, there's still the risk of malfunctioning while he's in there. But is either he fades, or make him have a chance to save him, but fades anyway in the process. They both don't end happily, but with him there's no other choice now. As you said, at least we tried, though we really shouldn't have bothered..." Vexen reached out his hand with a sigh, and put his finger on top of the on/off button, wondering if his precious was going to work. "I'll continue to explain what it does after this..." And he pressed it.
OOC: It hasn't even started yet. Besides, Axel needs to pick Rei up xP. Tifa got out her key and insert it into the knob as she pushed her door open, taking out the key again as she closed the door behind her and locked it securely. Placing it on a nearby side table, she quickly put the broach in a desk where she could see it, so when she puts on her outfit and all the accesories, there's no way she will forget to hook it on her dress. It was then she felt her phone vibrate, and taking it out of her pocket, she eyed the caller ID. Aerith? What the hell? When did she get my numb...oh yeah, from long ago before high school, though she never called... Picking it up, wondering what she needed, she spoke briskly. "Hello?"
OOC: Not a lot, darkheart, really...again xP Their dance had slowed to a almost stop as the music of Gloria Estefan, credit to Tifa, and as it ended, they still swayed slightly, or rather he still was. The moment was kind of ruined by Good Charlotte's Dance Floor Anthem, making his eyes flutter open, and they did officialy halt this time. Axel had to move one arm away from her waist as he dug his pocket for his iPod, and blindly paused it when his fingers felt the circular button. Putting his arm back, he massaged her back tenderly for a moment, his eyes searching around the roof, and it was then he wondered how long had they been here. She needed to get ready, and look gorgeous, of course. Staying that way for one more minute, he reluctantly pulled away, placing a hand on her shoulder as he eyed his wristwatch, getting almost surprised. If Larxene didn't get going, she was to arrive late, and he didn't want to hold her back anymore, or stay longer than she shoudl have. Staring at her, he explained, "As much as I don't want to say it...I think is better we leave now. It's almost 5: 30, and you're still in your uniform..." Tifa rapidly walked to the dorm building, knowing she was already late on getting herself set up, and that time was not going to be kind. She had to take a shower, do her hair, make sure everything's okay. As she went through the tunnel, she took a bite out of her chocolate bar she had gotten from the cafeteria, the snack she was yearning. Walking briskly as she headed to her dorm, her eyes stared down at the broach once more.
"He had asked for it. I warned him, he decided to risk it for Number XII. And where is she? Nowhere at the time of need. This is how bad it has gotten, he has deluded himself, do not how much Number XII has," Saïx responded in his defense monotonously, as usual of him, not really guilty of what he had done. He sighed as he finished applying the last few ointments, that had some type of ingredient that made the wounds heal fast, yet not completely. Thinking that he should wait to see what Vexen had planned next, he remained here. Sternly, he eyed Vexen from the back. "What exactly is this chance you are mentioning?" "One at a time," Vexen snarled as he slowly wrapped up stitching Axel's gash from the back, and getting the scissor once he had sewn that last bit, he did the same as the other, and cut the string as close as he could, making the end short. Gently, he turned Axel to be face front again, making sure he was softly placed down on the bed, and then studied the pyro, his eyes shut, his face devoid of any emotion as he was nearly on the verge of dying. The pale blue shade from the cause of his icing was fading, the wisps of darkness starting to rise dramatcially, yet leisurely, and that meant that he had to work fast. Explaining quickly, "No, Zexion, there's no need for any help, though I'm quite startled you care neough to ask, since Axel dying will end his and Larxene's charade. Anyway, this is what happens. The frozen state that I placed him in, as you see, will only preserve him and slow down the process of fading to a minimum, however, it will not last long, as you can tell now," He pointed at Axel, as he was getting to his skin color, and that he was indeed, fading faster. "I needed to do it so I kind have time to stitch him up, but the minutes are almost up. The machine I'm talking about, is a life preserver, meant to be used for Nobodies. Since he's too late to heal now, that is his only way of perhaps living. What the machine does, is that it freezes him, much like now, but more time, as long as he stays inside. But the beauty is, that it doesn't stop the blood from flowing in the veins..." He stopped there, making sure they were listening. Sighing, he motioned Saïx to come, pointing at Axel. "Help get him to the machine, I'll explain more when he's actually there."
