Rowan's footsteps were light as they passed down the corridor, barely making a sound at all. So far, there was no sign of the monster in the passage. He hoped things would stay that way, though he doubted it. The passage was dark and muggy. Were it not for their stealth tactics, he'd have conjured a flame to light their way. '"What exactly do you know about the beast guarding this tunnel?" He said in a hushed whisper to Raine. "Should we encounter it, It may be wise to give us any information on it beforehand." The whisper was quiet enough that you could barely hear him if you were standing right next to him. 'I only hope we need not use it...'

The fight between the two was interrupted by bullets flying past their heads. "Do not interfere." R said calmly, pointing his blade at Squall. "If you do, then i gurentee your life is at stake." With that, the heartless pounced his opponent, transforming his buster sword into a scimitar. "Dark sovereign!" He called, conjuring the solid black orbs which propelled themselves alongside his cut. ​

Xindai utilized his Star crystal's abilities quite a bit. One moment he was in front of R, the next he was behind him. Flashing from place to place and avoiding the strikes and countering with hand to hand attacks. Finally, he was stopped by R catching his fist with an armored hand. He had donned his black adamant armor. The dark creator was hit with what felt like the force of a freigh train, knocking him back several feet. He scowled at the heartless, before sending his glaive flying at him, imbuded with the power of darkness. ​

R sent his dark sovereigns to counter it, but they were no match for darkness of that magnitude, the glaive shattered them and went straight for R. With his unimaginably hard shield, It was deflected while knocking R back. "Dark creator, you are a worthy opponent." R began, speaking as though the fight was about to draw to a close. R was about to go as far as he could without using "that". "Black Rains" A dark puff of smoke appeared behind him and materialized itself into a blade, then another which became a spear, and another sword, then an axe. They picked up speed in appearance until behind him stood a Plethora of weapons, as many as drops of water fall from the sky in a storm. ​

Xindai knew full well that he couldn't stop this attack, so his best hope was to use his reflexes to parry as many as he could. He grinned and motioned his finger as if saying "come on" with that, the hailstorm of weapons rained down upon Xindai and the city behind him. ​

The battle began with the two flying out the roof. Exactly who had knocked who upward wasn't apparent, but a flurry of blows came from both sides. Xindai had already summoned his lockdown keyblade and R was in his dark assassination mode, making him a quite a bit faster. The reflexes of the dark creator seemed superhuman, capable of keeping up with even the heartless' enhanced speed. It was a sight to behold, the melody of metal clashing against metal at incredible speeds. R kicked back away from the combat and sent a volley of dark flames at his enemy. Xindai skillfully evaded and parried the shots, then proceeded to counter with a telekinetic push. R deflected it with a quickly enacted Dark Aegis. ​

The two seemed fairly evenly matched for the moment, but neither had shown their full potential yet. Ran forward at R, readying a downward cut when suddenly he was gone in a flash, appearing once more behind him to finish the cut. R was caught off guard by this, but managed to just barely evade it. He was at a disadvantage for the following barrage of cuts. His guard finally broke when Xindai used the glaive to spray dark sparks at him. R had suffered a cut to his arm and escaped worse by emitting his darkness in the form of a smoke screen. Normally this would be no problem for Xindai, but since his reading of R's mind was nothing more than a bluff, he couldn't tell his location. ​

R had a chance to strike and he took it. Conjuring what resembled a buster sword, a massive upward swing at Xindai decimated the roof of the building they stood on. Xindai was sent flying out of the smog and steadied himself with a telekinetic aerial recovery. He floated there, then looked down to the ground to notice Valinton. "Valinton! Handle the girl will you? I may have my hands tied with this one." Xindai called down to him while parrying another massive swing from R. ​
