    You guys need some SERIOUS musical education. Folk punk is a fusion between folk, folk rock, and punk. (it's like Blue Eyes Ultimate Dragon. one awesome thing + one awesome thing + one awesome thing = another awesome thing) Best folk punk band I've heard is Defiance, Ohio. Best songs are "Oh, Susquehanna!" and "Response to Griot."
