Implemented KHV mobile

Please do, it would be a great addition. It would not only generate more activity, but attract new members as well.

I think this does sound like a good idea,as lots of people would use it...
I mean,everyone loves KHV.
And I can see it being helpful for lots of people...

 

If we could get someone [I'm sure there's at least one person around here] to do it, and if the cost wasn't too much and the interest was a higher rate, this could work out.

But we have to take in all of these things into careful consideration.

 

Perhaps a simplified skin would be easier to do. That way it'll load faster on phones even if it doesn't really do much else.

 

I could attempt to make an app but programming apple stuff is a bitch.

Personally I wouldn't mind having it, I browse on my iPod sometimes.

 

I do this quite a bit. I'm RARELY using a computer to get onto KHV nowadays.

An app for it would be amazing, but if the Apple programming gets to be too bitchy, I won't complain.

 

That's the thing though, while an app definitely would be nice, the vBulletin add-on would be sufficient, at least for now. Basically... you know how, when you visit a site like Wikipedia on a mobile device, it looks different than if you were to on a regular computer? It's been made to work better on mobile devices, i.e. less images to reduce load time, larger fonts, things are easily clickable, etc. The vB add-on adds a mobile style that would automatically activate when you visit on your phone (or iPod, whatever you use). =]

When I don't have access to my computer or it's not working, I like to browse on my PSP and I think a lite version of KH-Vids would be wonderful.

 

What all would be needed if you were trying to make the app? I know for Droids, you would need someone who can program in Java, probably a program that can modify HTML layout, and time to work with it. Do Apple product run on a different code?

 

I'm not sure. But I know money's involved. And if I recall correctly, you need to pay a fee to get your application on the App store.

Regardless, a mobile skin should do the trick.

 

Cool Idea

I mean why not have certain people put money for this to be made they test it out. If it goes well then great use, if its a tad bit on the waste of money side then forget that idea. When I get a smartphone(Stupid Voyager weak phone) iPhone what ever I'll actual have something to do 8th period. There's only 8-9 people in my class. I say 9 cause that kid is always in OSS. But I can just chill from my phone and enjoy school a tad bit more. Like what is he gonna teach 8 kids and expect to take him for real. I don't even need that class I have too many science credits. Active physics yet AP Chem is what I took before like really. They put me in a dumber class. So please if you need money I'll be glad to be the test person dude.

What do you mean what? I know these things are very difficult to program. That's why I said certain people the tek... Forget it yea alright I understand you loud and clear.
