    Anyone else here get all emotional in those nature shows with the predators&prey?
    Id like your thoughts; whether you think nature should take its course OR the camera/documentary people should intervene...or a mixture...

    Just let nature take it's course.... otherwise it would be unnatural (dur :d).

    Although it is sad watching cute animals getting mauled. xP

    Predator and prey is a natural thing. The camera people shouldn't get involved.

    Would you want to get in the way of a lion pack hunting a zebra? oo;

    Um...yeah...how about NOOOOO? XD

    If the camera people involved, it'd be an unatural occurance...and therefore defeats the point of the documentary.

    True true...
    I agree it shouldnt be disturbed...just sometimes it really gets to me. Like the time there was that documentary with the lioness that adopted the gazel baby or something. And these juvenile males were trying to attack her...She dissapeared and it was just so heartbreaking ;__;

    I find those documentaries interesting. But things like Crock hunter are sometimes hard to watch. It's like why is he risking his life? I mean other people that love animals can do a show on them without interfering with them in their habitat.

    I've always believed that nature should take its course. If the cameraman intevens then the predator will suffer, its the way of the beast in my opinion.

    If the cameramen saves all the animals that are attacked the predators will starve to death. So no, let nature take it's course. There's a reason behind those nature shows and that is not to show people saving the lion's lunch.

    I love animals, though I'm not a vegetarian. Predators eat meat, without it they die, they can't become vegetarian or they will be sick.

    I believe nature should take its course, too. I think why they show that is because the world is 90% more violent then it was - all the movies are rated R and are gorey and unapproiate. Animals are beautiful things, they shouldn't show tigers kill a deer. That is not what nature is all about. They are telling people that those tigers are bad and that they need to be killed. That is NOT true. And some people even think animals are stupid, and they aren't. They may not be able to do all the things that we do, but they're much smarter than you think. And people shouldn't even be around them if they don't really care - do the cameramen care? I don't really think they do.
    And, animals have to live and eat. But, it is their private business what they want to eat, why do you have to go and record it? I mean, people are the #1 cause of animals becoming extinct. They are destroying the world with these horrible machines, and they need to put a stop to those foreign countries killing elephants and lions, and so on. They also need to see housing developers from buying up land - the mountain lions and hawks won't have anywhere to hunt.
    It hurts me to see that, the only nature show I watch is 'Planet Earth', because it is not as gorey as those others.

    This is very interesting. I completely forgot about this aspect of the arguement. Yea they do show it too much & movies/tv has gotten SOO violent 0_0!

    But Planet Earth is so gorgeous, its definately in a league apart from other nature shows. I love it:D
