The NRA releases their own iOS game on the one-month anniversary of the Sandy Hook shooting, featuring a variety of real-world guns and featuring explanations on safe use of guns. http://www.gamespot.com/news/nra-ios-game-draws-criticism-6402479 I say that this is really dick of them. First, blasting violent video games, then, on the one-month anniversary of the shooting no less, they release this game that basically teaches gun use. sure, it's about safe gun use, but it's basically the most backwards and disgusting thing I've seen in a while. Shame on them.
Yeah, I saw that. Couldn' t tell if trolling or just stupid, as usual with the NRA. The reason I didn' t post it is that I started thinking about a third option : And this I' m afraid is exactly the reaction they wanted. The NRA isn' t the one who decided to rate it 4+, it was completely out of their hands. It' s blood and murder that are censored in video games, not guns per say. What Bloomberg is asking is playing right into the NRA' s agenda, feeding their diversion on the video game patsy.
