I'm directing something at my school for theater class. It's a student direct scene for class and i'm working with two girls. For the first time i have athority which is nice, but one of the girls i casted is just goofing off and i want to get a good grade. I even threatened with replacing her. Me: Can we please pay attention. Her: Okay, i can't consentrate while the director is PMSing.
I know how you feel. I was trying to teach a judo class, and this little brat was goofing off, so I told him to practice, and he looks up and says "Screw you." I made the little shit do push ups for the last twenty minutes of class.
No, it's just some serious kinda skit. We couldn't do nothing mainstream, only plays. That's awesome. I once tried to teach the Hare Hare Yukai to my anime club but all they did was goof around. I was getting so pissed but i hid it very well. However with this girl, i wasn't hiding it.
Yes but she's also technically my friend. Well it's called tough love for a reason i guess and she's not that much of an actress.
It must be bad then, You sometimes have to put off friends for what you want to do... I did it before, my friend was doing horrible on our science project and he just goofed around, and If it showed...I would of failed the class. So I just did it by myself and presented it, without his help
*looks at post* I seriously hope that no one will ever be stoned enough to give you any form of authority. Yelling doesn't solve a thing. If anything it gives them the impression that you have very little patience and will lose all motivation to work under you. It will also weigh on your social status outside of your field of authority. You can "be the boss" without having to resort to yelling and being a ****** if you have even a sliver of tact and diplomacy. Anyway, if she's your friend then she would understand if you told her that this is important to you. And that you will replace her if she can't do you at least that favour.
