OOC: whatever you say

Hannah wiped her eyes. She motioned for the men to follow her as she went to the bar. "I don't drink." She said, finding a place that would suit them all at the counter. "But get what you like."

 

OOC: *GASP* you dont think that edward-poo is sexy??? grrr... lol

BIC: Edward sat at the counter and ordered an ale. He decided to stay quiet for a little and let Van Helsing and Elizabeth talk. She doesn't seem to like me, he thought.

 

Van Helsing ordered a rum and waited for Elizabeth to sit next to him.

"We can trust Edward with Jinx's secret," he whispered close to her ear since others were also in the bar. "I think you know what I'm thinking at this point."

 

"If you're suggesting it was her who killed Henry," Hannah kept her voice low. "You're wrong. She hasn't been seen for the past few days."

 

"Exactly," Van Helsing replied, picking up his drink and sipping it. "If you haven't seen her how did you know she didn't do it?"

 

Edward drank his ale and tried not to stare at Elizabeth.

I'm good with reading eyes, he thought. But I can't see why her face looks a little guilty...

"She's docile." Hannah replied, looking away. "Naive, innocent. However you want to put it. She's just not like a... a normal vampire."

 

"Oh really?" Van Helsing started now, a little irriatated. "A vampire is a vampire, Elizabeth. In order for her to be alive right now she has had to kill another innocent person. That makes her not very innocent herself. What would a 'normal' vampire be anyway?"

 

"Innocent has different meanings." Hannah mumbled. "Normal?" She looked back at Van Helsing. "Sir Dracula is normal."

 

She is one, too, Edward thought. I know it.

 

"Dracula is an evil son of a b.itch that I intend to kill," Van Helsing snapped. "There is nothing normal about him at all. The only question, then, is who killed Henry?"

 

Oh, no, Edward thought, trying not to show any emotion on his face. She did it. She killed that poor man... I don't know how, but I know it for sure."

 

Something inside Hannah was telling her not to let Dracula be talked about that way, but she held her tongue. "Henry was killed by a vampire. Maybe one of Dracula's brides."

 

"How the h.ell would no one notice a bride coming down here to feed?Plus the three he has right now are always together. Elizabeth..." he lowered his voice even more, leaning close so she could hear him. "Stop lying to me."

 

"You should let her be," Edward said suddenly. "This town just lost a person, Mr. Van Helsing. We should leave her alone."

 

Hannah moved away from Van Helsing, staying in her seat. "What do you know about me?"

 

"Are... are you asking me or him?" Edward inquired nervously.

 

"Both of you." Hannah narrowed her eyes at Edward. She'd nearly forgotten he was there.

 

"I think you're a lonely girl to start with," Van Helsing began, seeing Edward was tongue-tied. "I know that your name really isn't Elizabeth, but if that's what you want me to call you, that's fine. I know that you have never told me the complete truth in any sentence I've heard come out of your mouth... and, for some reason, I think I know that I can trust you to help me."

 

"I..." Edward started after Van Helsing had spoken. "I don't really know a thing about you yet.... sorry."
