Right below your profile picture, there should be a little rectangular thing, on the top it says customize profile. click on that and it goes to a screen where you can upload a picture. but it's really hard to find a picture to fit your background, like dont use big pictures, use small ones like mine that can repeat.

If you want other people to see your comments, then you need to go to their page (click on your avatar) and post it there. That gives them a message to let them know that they have a message from you. Or, you could click on that little "view conversation" button down there, that works just as fine.
