I passed 13 years last month. I can still remember making the account. During the years I was active, I constantly tried to make some kind of anniversary post but always missed it. I miss just hanging out.
Not that weird. BUT creating a place that keeps a database and rates feet....

Not at all. I’m a employed as a substitute teacher. I work mainly in the high schools.
It’s definitely better for me (mentally speaking) than my previous job at a call center. They don’t want us to talk too much about it, but let’s just say that the company I worked for rhymes with “Apple”.
There are some who call me...Tim.
Been busy. Found employment. Wrote things.
I did a few years ago when I lived in LA. It was fun and it’s not as scary as it looks.
There usually is a long line, but I happened to walk into someone who didn’t feel like waiting, so they handed me their fast pass. So instead of coming back in two hours with my own fast pass, I just had to wait around 30 minutes.
I'm dying and everything hurts.
Thank you. The name Random Angel does ring a bell. I apologize I don't remember you better though. I do recall you being a great person to talk...
I could really use some visitors, haha.
I must apologize because I'm that neighbor who will sing non-stop, although I have the decency to not do so past 11. There's only so much time in the day to practice for upcoming shows, haha.
Most of my time I've found has been spent in the living room. So far, the bedroom is just for bed. And there is actually a lamp post outside of my bedroom that is good for some natural light.
I'm well aware that I haven't been an active member for some time. I more just help with the Lux Leaderboard, and have been wanting to do more.
A big reason why I haven't been so active is because real life has been...interesting. To not go into much detail about what's been happening, the heart is good, found a job that I actually kinda like, and I have been living in my own apartment for about an entire month now.
Living alone hasn't necessarily been how I imagined it. It feels really weird. All the responsibility is on me, which is both a blessing and a curse. But I don't think that this is a mistake. Honestly, I never thought i would get this far in my life, being able to stand on my own feet in this way and being able to live my own life.
So, anyone got any tips for your first apartment/living alone?
I recognize your name. An old name I went by is "Tummer". And I had a bad heart, but I had a heart transplant back in 2012, so all has been going...
Overwhelming. I knew I was gonna have some days off work when this comes out to just play the story, but now I'm afraid I'll have to return to work with the weight of being towards the end over me.
This movie made me angry. I got done reading the book a good two weeks before I saw the movie, and I really didn't care for the book. And when I got out of that theater, I was fuming because that movie should not be as good as it is. It's a freaking miracle.
As a movie on its own (as in not thinking about the source material), it's a fun roller coaster of a story. I really bought into the whole world of the OASIS and found myself rooting for the main characters to find the egg. It felt like a love letter to overall nerd culture without playing things too broadly. Really, my only big gripe with the movie is that a lot of events didn't flow into each other in the middle. Things happen, and the plot progresses, but there were a lot of times where things didn't lead into each other. And some of the stuff with Art3mis really felt played out, but I was willing to forgive it.
And the sequence with the second key is the worth the price of admission alone. Trust me on that.
This kind of reflects my initial thought. It was more like "okay, so what's going to be the name of Not Kingdom Hearts 3.
All I hope this that they give him some good material. I need more Kingdom Hearts 2 style scene chewing from Hades in my life.
The most recent book I finished was Ready Player One by Ernest Cline.
I'm aware that I hold an unpopular viewpoint, but I really didn't like this book. The biggest problem I had with the book is its storytelling. It felt like a lot of things were brought up for the sake of convince for the main character, who I found to be really unlikable. I understand that it's a power-fantasy story, but there are a lot of simple things that could have been done to make it a better story. I also didn't care for the constant barrage of 80's references. I have no problem with enjoying nostalgia, but it really added nothing to the story. It came off more like "you remember this, right? and this too" that it was boring.
(On a side note, I really like the movie adaptation. It fixes a lot of the story elements I have with the book.)
I gotta say, I really like a lot of the demos. It kind of stinks that that we don't get any of the reprisals. One of my favorite moments is the act one finale reprisal of Where is the Justice where it's a back and forth between Light and L.
And listening to the English lyrics, I can't help but feel there's some new dimension added to Misa's character. It doesn't alter her character too much, but it's either how Warren performs the songs and the lyrics themselves that bring something new to the table. It makes sense why the final image on stage is the way it is.
On a side note, I find it interesting how similar the music associated with L is between adaptations. Something about The Game Begins reminds me of L's theme from the anime. If you've also seen the Netflix adaptation (which I personally enjoy, but I only bring it up as reference), when they first introduce L, they use a very similar techno-centric sound and rhythm.
