Ingonyamaaaaaa bagithiiiii babaaaaaaaa (Happy Holidays)
I have to say, this movie was very well made, even with the numerous plotlines and storylines. I especially liked how at first each of the stories have absolutely nothing to do with each other, but as they continue on it all starts to make sense and connect in terms of what one person said or what theme was underlying throughout. There has been some controversy about the casting because a lot of the actors portray different sets of races, genders, and the like. However, I felt that if they had a different actor for each character, it would have been even more cluttered and confusing to follow along with the parallels. I guess there may have been problems with the numerous dialects, but hey, it didn't really bother me as much as I thought. One thing that I would criticize would be the length of the movie. Three hours is waaaaay too long especially for a movie this plot and symbol-heavy. I guess one could argue that a shorter time wouldn't fill in all of the important points of the story, but I'm pretty sure there were other ways to make things shorter. Overall, I really enjoyed this movie, although I wouldn't call it my absolute favorite. It's one of those movies that becomes ineffable, especially right after seeing it. And I can't be sure whether or not it is what the general audience deserves for its big-name cast, intertwining stories, and the like. But, if you have the time and patience, be sure to check it out.

Today, I slayed three wolf spiders in my house, protecting my family from their plight. But I will not sleep tonight, for I fear their kin will exact revenge on me...
Compared to the teaser trailer, it seems Hathaway's voice was ADR'd over, which sounds more clearer but takes away from the rawness of the moment she captured previously. BUT, that's really all the criticism I have to give. Because, the cinematography seriously looks amazing. Definitely got goosebumps going and can't wait to see and hear more. Thoughts, opinions?
Spoiler You're adopted. :O Also, Nutella > Chocolate Jif
Spoiler Oh... okay then... .___.
So... I need some advice/support/venting out. Today I come back from my Service Learning Project and it's all a great experience and what not. I then have to go to an SGA meeting to help with my club at college. But before that, I am approached by a student. He awkwardly comes up to me while I am about to sit down and asks me if I was Asian. I'm like yeah, I'm half Chinese. Then, eventually we ended up talking about anime. So, I'm thinking that it's all cool and leave for the meeting. After the meeting ends, the same guy walks into the club room, I'm thinking how did he even know where I was and asks me about the Anime Club again. He asks me for my number, just in case the location of the club changes or if I can recommend him any anime. Reluctantly, I give him the number but tell him that it's only for Anime Club purposes, since I'm an officer. I leave it at that and he exits the room. Literally ten minutes later, another guy comes up to me and also asks me if I was Asian. Weird. I say yes. I then walk away awkwardly, since it's in the middle of the hallway. He then catches up to me and tells me that I look beautiful and all that stuff. I'm shocked and say that I'm flattered but I also need to go since I'm in a hurry. I find a group of my friends up ahead and join their circle, blanketing in the security of my friends. When I leave for home, I go to my car and there's another man. He's standing near my car and comes up to me to ask me where a certain building was. I point him in a direction but then he suddenly says that he only came up to me because he thinks I'm cute. Again, I'm flattered but I try to get into my car. He keeps asking me for my number, while I'm trying to say that I'm in a hurry to get home. He offers a high five, which I unfortunately give back to him out of habit. He then suggests we do a face bump and I'm like 'Hell no.' and I close my car door. I see him leave out of the parking lot and I go straight home and into my mother's lap. Now, I'm not trying to be racist or anything, but it wasn't until after the fact that I realized that all of these men were African American. Granted, there is a high ratio of African Americans at our college but it's just a situation that rarely happens, especially for someone like me. And for the first time, I am genuinely scared to go back to college on Monday, because of this embarrassment and awkward tension. What happens when I meet them again at school? How should I try to move on? :c
And boy everything's now new and futuristic on these forums. Anyway, I've just been pretty busy with life and things that I had to leave pretty much without notice. But since Kingdom Hearts is reaching its 10th Anniversary (at least technically Stateside), I'd figured that I might as well reconnect with some ole forums. Well, I hope at least some of you remember me. o.o [Also, just a shameless plug, but be sure to check out my tumblr and my Youtube, right down below on my signature! c: ]
Suppose you were on an island, deserted by yourself. The only food source you have is yourself. You start eating yourself by decapitating your body parts. Would you gain weight or lose weight?
EDIT: I've figured out the problem. You can ignore this thread. Alright, so I have the UMD copy of Dissidia loaded onto my PSP. I turn it on and there goes the PSP logo. So then, I hear the UMD loading and the screen goes black. I see the memory stick logo blink. After a couple of seconds or so, the PSP automatically turns off. D:? I have no idea what's going on. I tried my *one* other PSP games and are working just fine but the particular one is Dissidia. Now, I did have some trouble loading with the game, specifically before a battle (when they give you that Loading screen) and it freezes. My entire PSP completely froze for a while but I eventually got it back to turning it on and off again. I took out the game and let my PSP rest (since we have been playing for 12 days straight :x). The next morning (right now) I turn on my PSP, put in Dissidia, and the weird thing is happening. I'm not sure whether it's my UMD copy to blame or just the PSP.
http://img196.imageshack.us/img196/5021/warriorsffgjuly1scan1.jpg Recently, Square-Enix launched a mystery site containing the number 4 and a slowly updating piece of artwork shown fully in this scan. It turns out that this game is called Four Warriors of Light: Final Fantasy Gaiden. Also prior to this announcement, S-E had filed in the trademark for this title. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OfsojNtU9yQ We are given a short glimpse of what is to come of the live-action Avatar movie, slated to be released next year. I think that it looks pretty decent but I'm gonna have to see more footage to be able to be convinced about this. In the future maybe. But decent still. This is also seen in the theaters too.
But get this: It's dubbed in German! Oh what fun. But seriously, at least this it's better than nothing. With Transformers 2 premiering in both Tokyo and Seoul now, it's only a matter of time before more clips (and spoilers, mind you) pop up around the internets. So, enjoy. http://io9.com/5286251/see-robots-megan-fox-at-play-in-new-transformers-2-clips Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen comes out June 24 stateside. Everywhere else just before that. Dratz.
With a sneak peek at the English Dub. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9lMggxXojTQ And the official English site for it is updated with the full character roster (minus Gabranth and Shantotto). http://na.square-enix.com/dissidia/ From what I've heard, the person doing Firion will be Johnny Young Bosch. And I believe that Kuja's could be Vexen's voice actor from Re: CoM. What do you think of the English voices so far? Out of 10 overall, I'd give it a 7.5. (Zidane's just... god...)
http://screencrave.com/2009-05-21/first-photos-from-the-last-airbender/ We take a first look at the movie's main characters (Noah Ringer as Aang and Dev Patel as Zuko) in recently released screenshots. A teaser trailer is expected to be released coinciding with Transformers 2 this June. Here's another look of Patel as Zuko. http://www.slashfilm.com/2009/05/23/a-better-look-at-dev-patel-in-the-last-airbender/ Discuss and all. My opinion is that even though I really wish that they had casted more Asian people for the main line up, I think that Patel and Ringer look the part. From what I can tell, it turned out a lot better than I thought. I'm just worried about Katara and Sokka's first look.
Today, NA Square Enix (finally) updates the site... with three more characters; Cecil, Bartz, and Terra. Also note the name change from Butz to Bartz and from Tina to Terra. Nothing entirely new but at least it is something... sorta http://na.square-enix.com/dissidia/ Plus, I've found an interesting piece of info regarding the English Voice Overs. Grant George is credited under Dissidia as the Warrior of Light on his official site. You can also see more of his credits from shows, anime, video games, etc. to see if you are familiar with him (for all I know, he's the voice of Kilik from Soul Calibur). I hope that this will be a start to more revealing of some other English VO's in the future. http://www.dynamicduovo.com/aboutgrant.html
