Comes with a fabulous new silver PSP (not the one engraved with all of that Dissidia logo stuff) and your own UMD copy of FFVII: AC (not the Complete version). This will be a Gamestop exclusive. http://kotaku.com/5255031/dissidia-final-fantasy-gets-its-own-psp-bundle Kotaku also noted that it will ship August 25th, which I'm assuming that it is the release date for Dissidia in NA. We'll just have to wait and see. We can expect an official announcement either from S-E's site or Sony Press Conference in upcoming E3. Plus, ESRB seems to have rated the game "T" for those wanting to know.
... a little bit of new info. But whatever. Just last week, Square Enix staff members arrived in the UK to talk and promote Dissidia. Here are some aspects of the interview I found interesting: - They mention of adding extra events to the overseas version. (similar to the localization of KH1) - Arakawa admits about the PSP piracy issue. - They also mention of shortening the tutorial from one hour to ten minutes in Dissidia to "better suit" Western audiences (D: whut?! does that mean less story...?). For the full interview: http://www.bit-tech.net/gaming/psp/2009/05/05/dissidia-final-fantasy-interview/1 Source: bi-tech.net Discuss and all. Dissidia is expected to hit US shores Summer 2009 and Europe/PAL territories in September 2009.
UPDATE: Apparently, it can also be seen on the official site. http://transformersmovie.com/ http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n5_E7cl72Pk Early footage featuring pure awesomeness and a little bit of spoiler-ish implications for the plot. But yeah, we'll see it in theaters June 26, 2009. You can also see this trailer at theaters showing X-Men Origins: Wolverine on May 1st. Details (incase the video is taken down by then, may be some spoilers) : -Sam somehow gets a hold of the AllSpark fragment and starts having visions of a secret language (similar to how his great grandfather was) -New Jetfire close-up. -Devastator sucking up sand (and an Autobot, holy crap) -Optimus telling Sam that "This is your war now." -The return of Megatron. -More shots in Shanghai, Middle East, Egypt, and the College Sam goes to. -Bumblebee fighting a Decepticon. etc... (I couldn't tell what was happening in the rest of it because some of these clips are shown for like 1/100 of a second >_> )
Featuring emo-Bumblebee and Megan Fox stripping. Huh. Well at least there's new appearances of other Autobot and Decepticon action. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-TL3XEvTfNo This footage was shown last year and presented by Michael Bay at the ShoWest. The movie Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen should be coming out June 24 of this year.
...and they are looking pretty tight. http://tformers.com/article.php?sid=11324 Featuring some old, some new. And Megatron is returning (of course) and reappearing as a Cybertronian tank. In my opinion, I'm starting to be fond of the twins (Skidz and Mudflap). Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen is expected to hit theaters June 24 this year.
http://na.square-enix.com/dissidia/ Featuring new page interface, as well as the characters from FF's 1-3. Note the name change of Frioniel to Firion. There is also the showing of the US Debut trailer found about a few days ago on Gametrailers, as well as some Wallpaper (uninteresting however). Nothing much but still good to see NA Squeenix in active work.
[Thread title rhymes : D] Three Final Fantasy titles (not new, unfortunately) will be up for download at the Wii's Wiiware and Virtual Console. Final Fantasy IV: The After Years (Wiiware) Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: My Life as a Darklord (Wiiware) Final Fantasy I (Virtual Console) It should be noted that they also announced for the rest of the Final Fantasy Series to be released on Virtual Console, starting with I. So, does that mean that the original VII will be made available for it? Doubt it but who knows lol. Releases of these titles for Japan is this May and in America/Europe later this year. Source: http://release.square-enix.com/na/2009/03/25_01.html
(Not sure if to put this in the game section or this but w.e. Sorry if wrong section.) According to Sony Home Entertainment (and the site listed below) FFVII ACC will be hitting North American shelves June 2 or 7, 2009. Interestingly, S-E has not announced this but we'll see. The trailer seen at Gametrailers could have hinted at the start of the session for the new scenes of the English dub though. In conclusion, be sure to keep an eye out for June within the next couple of months. Stuff included in the Japanese release (e.g., FFXIII demo, OVA's, etc.) has not been announced yet for the American release. No info on Europe's release either. http://screenrant.com/m-night-shyamalans-the-last-airbender-gets-more-of-its-cast-ross-6103/ Uncle Iroh: Shaun Toub Commander Zhao: Aasif Mandvi Fire Lord Ozai: Cliff Curtis Earthbending Father (Bumi?) : Keong Sim All I gotta say is a couple of things: Firstly, at least they are getting some actual Asian people in the movie. But well, that's not gonna heal much about the kids' cast still being mainly white. But w.e., it's starting to come back together again. The movie will be filmed starting this month somewhere in Greenland.
http://wii.ign.com/articles/957/957943p1.html I'd actually kinda sensed before that it was gonna be on the DS but oh well. Note that this will be an American release. No set release date though. Personally, I still need to get FFIV myself. Source: IGN
My mom is addicted to playing Oblivion.
[This was announced around Feb. 3 but just discovered it now.] http://www.buddytv.com/articles/home-page-blog-movie/slumdog-star-joins-last-airben-1373.aspx Dev Patel, of Slum Dog, is said to be replacing Jesse McCartney as Prince Zuko in the movie. Reasons are claimed to be from scheduling conflicts. So, at least we have an actual authentic Asian person to play a role. We'll see how this turns out now... Also, according to the article below, a person named Jessica Andres will be playing as Suki. Hmm... http://www.variety.com/article/VR1117999413.html?categoryid=13&cs=1
Plus a rumoured release date (mentioned this with 358 Days' release as well) : August 31, 2009 Lol, a long stretch huh? Well, that's to be expected. I so wanted them to release it on July 12 but oh well. The website features a cool "choose your alliegance" piece that adds in sort of the fun to it. The only characters up are WoL and Garland, however. Official Site: http://na.square-enix.com/dissidia/
[Sorry if this has been said but this news just came 2 hours ago according to Google :x] http://www.zergwatch.com/Newsfeed-1...rts-358-2-days-na-release-date-announced.html Apparently, it reads for an August 31, 2009 release date in America (along with Dissidia Final Fantasy). Huh. Thoughts, opinions?
... April 16, 2009. Huh. Well, there will be a bundle set still for that FFXIII demo release. Plus there is a special PS3 called "Cloud Black" (hurray for marketing) which basically features the same uh, features as a PS3 (160 GB though, I believe) only it has an engraving of the Cloudy Wolf symbol. So you can watch the movie and play FFXIII in style. =D It's only gonna cost you almost 50,000 yen for the entire collection. The DVD will also include an OVA (they are speculating Last Order but SE may pull off a surprise) and the FF7AC trailers shown in 08. Source: FF7AC Reunion Here is the press release by Square-Enix. http://release.square-enix.com/news/j/2009/01/20090119_01.html V Pictures of the box cover (epic) and the PS3. Plus some screens of the movie. http://www.famitsu.com/game/news/1221340_1124.html In my opinion, I'm just looking forward to that FFXIII demo. But 30 minutes more of AC wouldn't hurt either. I mean, I loved that movie.
[desu] Kind of early here in the States but w.e. This was practically made in about 4-5 hours straight so give me some credit... I guess... Anyway, Happy New Year's from me to you. Yay. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KREM4EPKq4I
Revealed in the new trailer presented at Gamecenter CX (somewhere on the internet, I found it on nicovideo.jp), FFXII's character is surprisingly a villain. I can kind of tell from the helmet shape and color scheme of the cloak. Most likely on the Chaos side (since we do have Shantotto on Cosmos, respectively). http://up2.viploader.net/pic/src/viploader874695.jpg So, does this conclude the entire Final Fantasy roster at last? We'll wait and see until the game comes out this week. EDIT: Thanks to TwilightBlader for the find. http://www.veoh.com/videos/v16934199Sr55Wnkn?source=embed [Now time to do homework, ew.]
The father-son duo again... only now you see it from Jecht's perspective. http://jp.youtube.com/watch?v=AFSDnu6g96A EDIT: This was from the CLOUD: message or Re: replai books. Source: FF7AC Reunion
Yes, it is here. The live-action trilogy to take place over the next several years has its cast list. Are you ready? Really? Well, here we are: Aang - Noah Ringer "Karate star" apparently from Texas. Basically an unknown. No pictures of him yet. Katara - Nicole Peltz Another unknown, though I heard that she's from a couple of movies. Small parts maybe. Sokka - Jackson Rathbone Of the Twilight fame. He looks pretty good, I must say. Prince Zuko - Jesse McCartney A favorite pop singer among teenag- wait, what?! Seriously. First Roxas and now Zuko? Jesse was actually good as Roxas but I'm getting some bad vibes, IMO. But who knows. I really hope Night can pull this off. With some extreme luck. But they did say that they are currently in negotiations with Jesse McCartney, so we'll see. Source: http://themovingpicture.net/shyamalan-casts-the-last-airbender Discuss, rant, etc.
... a 36/40! Not too bad, I say. =D They also reviewed the characters one by one too (looks like Firion isn't getting that much love though...) http://www.uploda.org/uporg1845057.jpg http://h.pic.to/v8q1f (From www.neoseeker.com) "With the review comes some details and of course, impressions. As it were, the game takes about 40 hours to complete the story mode and 100+ to unlock everything -- quite impressive for a fighting title. The reviewers seem to agree the controls are "easy" and the customization options are plentiful, while the story is praised for being "more than just a gathering of FF characters". I'm sure most wouldn't minded, anyway, but that's definitely a big plus, and no small feat. As for battle actions, one reviewer in particular loved the pursuit battles which required you to attack and defend; another compared them to scenes in Advent Children. As long as games have budgets, people will have complaints, and with this one they say it's hard to keep track of things sometimes (presumably in battles), and there are too many "special terms", which a tutorial would be good for." Glad the story is more in depth than I thought it might be. And the technical terms did seem a bit confusing but I'm sure the learning curve won't be that long to take. Source: FF7AC Reunion
