Well, just like the question says.
Do you believe in a connection of all things? That everything is bound to one thing or another?
Take this spiritually, scientifically, philosophically or even literal if you really want too.

Please tell and give some reason for your independent belief.

Now, one moment before you make a decision that peadophiles are 'the spawn of Satan' and demonise them as the worst type of criminal.

I've talked to my Psych teacher about this sunject recently, since paedophillia seems to be a more common crime in the last decade, I asked her what the reasosn behind there actions are.
She went on to say that truthfully no one has found a significant answer to the cause of people becoming paedophiles but it does all point ot something similar.
    Genetics.
Latest studies have found that people who's parents had a mental disorder or other disability mentally were 10x more likely to commit sexual abuse against young shildren than any other group. Some psychologists agree that paedophiles are as much victims as anyone else who suffers a mental disorder sinc it is an almost uncontrollable urge.
Other factors are abuse, sexual or not and also aggressive situations, lack of socializing and so on.

I personally don't have strong feeling sone way or another. I don't care much about paedophiles because i've not really been affected by them nor anyone I know. Also I see children as capable of taking on more mature roles at a younger age ( I admit alot don't, but it's jsut how I instinctively view it)

What about you, victims of their own or monsters? How do you see them?

Hullo, a poem here thats dedicated to Ansem The Wise and his journey from ruler to failure and everything in between. Oh and a dedication to Christopher Lee, his voice actor and himself as an actor. Written last ear and just found and finished it off quickly, since I thought I better post this before Xehanort's history was revealed, since that would spoil the poem a lil.
    Anyway enjoy!

    ---------------------------------------------------------------------
    Revenge Of The Sage

    A Heart…
    A Heart!
    My kingdom for a Heart!

Needing to be the virtuous king,
    Smile as the people sing,

I’ve created my Garden so Radiant,
On strong grounds to be permanent,
My people smile day to day,
I wish to keep them that way,

But even I know this won’t last,
Unless I protect my paradise so vast,
    Against an enemy from within,
The Darkness that spawned from an old sin,

Maybe the secret lies in this young man,
The one I found, with white hair and light tan,
    What makes you tick Xehanort?
Were you one of the warriors that fought?

I want to find this tool,
    Used as the eternal fuel,
I tinker in this Frankenstein test,
That I know I should, help stop the deadly pest,

Is this a key I see before my eyes?
With a king that tells me truth and no lies,
Of journeys in worlds vast like sea,
Travels with Gummi nlocks in their shining glee,

All I have left now is to be redeemed,
Through the use of this Heart-clenching machine,
But the Heart is nothing like the data I know,
More like the gardens and people who use to glow

Law and Order. A key component in keeping society stable and living, putting order in place of chaos. In most countries the usual procedure of punishment for breaking the law is confinement into a prison. Rehabilatation is applied through the use of group discussions, therapy sessions and an edcuation system all form inside the confiment behind bars.

    But...Does it really work?
Locking someone up to let them think what they've done, is it working?

I wish to go into a career of psychology and hopefully rehabilitate criminals into modern society. Now, what i'd like to know is if anyone thinks if it actually works, all the stuff inside prison, is it really working?

A project i've been working on and off (mostly off) for half a year. The baisc plot involves a teen who suffers schizophrenia, who not only must get through life with this illness but also to get through the usual torments of teenage life involving school, bullies, family, friends and love.

I've based it off many stereotypes of people with mental illnesses, actual facts and also some personal experiences myself.
Now I want to know 2...no 3 things, and would be grateful for some useful replies.

    1) Judge and comment on the title of the story and also it's 'tag' line. Here it is:

    A Voice with No Light

''Where the Light does not shine...
    ...there is only Darkness''

    2) Judge my introduction to the readers and tell em what you think:

Welcome, dear reader! It is so satisfying to know your gracing this book, with such wilful hands. For only one with will and strength can read this tale and truly know the fate of a madman. And this madman seeks to set the record straight about common misconceptions.
Ha, not all of us are screamers, shrieking our pain into the night hoping that someone will believe us, that we didn’t mean to be born this way. We are legion, for we are many. We are sickos and perverts. I hate this; I don’t want this life, not like this. But still…we grow and multiply, become one and then one more like a damn perfect circle with no end… none at all. It’s not always like this; we aren’t aliens, unless you make us. We just look at things different.
None of us choose this path; we were born with this mark of corruption, which sets us apart. It is with this scar, where we should surely dig our own graves. Yet… not all of us do…
But, the one thing I do know for certain…I know that every soul, every body, and every person that feels the darkness crawling on their skin like ravenous bugs. Those held up by strings serving the puppet master… and labelled the madmen… they always hurt the ones they care for…

    3) And finally if you like anything you've read so far, please tell me and I might put some of it up.

Thank you for your time! ^^

Recently the group of friends I hang around with at school have just had a split down the seams. It goes that Guy A who goes out with GIRL A, messed around sexually with Girl B who goes out With Guy B. Apparently Guy A and Girl B were drunk and playing around when things got a little too far, and Girl B says that she sked him to stop but Guy A couldn't take the hint and kept going. Suddenly more rumors are spreading and the whole thing seems like hell for my group of friends. We HAVE to take sides, and support the others in their time of need.
Basically these two people messing around were stupid and irresponsible. Guy B feels guilty that he let anything happen to Girl B, whilst Girl A is crying all the time and confused since it's not the first time he's done this to her.

All because of Alcohol all of theirs friends are being turned against onr another because of a stupid act. I wish I could just say that they should limit their alcohol and get responsible with each other for once. The worse thing is they probably won't learn their lessons and just keep this up for ages.

Have you ever been in a situatino where you or a friend had too much and something bad happened from it? DO people really know when to stop? Should alcohol be banned?

    Discuss.

So, the inequality between age has beena round for a along time, to say the least.

I'm 17, and i've been debating more serious arguments for around 3-4 years, whilst about the last 8 years i've been doing personal thoughts on serious situations. Now, since i've started debating with my parents and grandmother on some subjects, my opinion isn't taken as seriously as the 'adults' opinions are. At school, however, when I discuss with some friends or teachers, I usually get more acceptance on my beliefs (my English teacher even called me an old man once for respect of my 'wisdom'... I hope).

Anyway my point is, is that generally the opinions of a younger audience aren't seen as a great resource, and are usually ignored. THe Government for example will most likely listen to a 50 year old politician with traditional beliefs, about young gun and kinfe crime than they will a person of 13 who has experienced it first hand because of their age.

Is age really a factor when it comes down to it?

Have you ever been looked down upon because of your age?

Ok, I was thinking it over when I heard a quote concerning the first space flight in humanity. It was something on the lines of 'We went to heaven but no one was there' and this got me thinking.

Can we believe that the Gods exist now that we have gone through 'Heaven'?
I mean sure we defetaed the whole Heaven ni the clouds theory with Space flight, but does that mean God can't exist?

Personally, the whole idea of a God is still easily possible since Space is far greater than anything we know. I look at the pictures of space and you have to say that bescause of the beauty of its design, you can tell why people can still believe in God creating such wonders.

So anyway, the real question is can God and Heaven still be considered real?

If you, a human being, had the way and time to kill what we refer to as Devil..
Would you kill the almighty evil?

Just, what if you could, this being that has caused hunger, death and disease to millions, a being who has created pain, suffering, evil in the world, if you could would you stop it?

And depending on what you think, you can apply this to God, if you wish to, if he is the creator, he created all of the negative experiences i've listed.

The thought occurs that our everyday life is run and kept stable not by our own efforts, but by the efforts of technology. We make meals using gas heated stoves, microwaves, we are transported by cars, buses, motorbikes, we entertain ouselves by watching tv, going on the internet and so on.

If the general public did not have the comfort of a world run by our own technological machines, what would we do then?
A small number of us would be able to cope with the surrounding changes, while the rest would either not survive or impede other people.

It makes me think that our lives that we live right now, are the most dangerous of all settings. Even just over 100 years ago, our technolgy was replacable by our own common sense, raw materials and basic teamwork, however I don't see that around anymore

How far can we go before our lives are utterly and completely dependent on machines? Before our own technology ruins our health and basic living capabilities?

I don't know the difference sometimes. Do we live in reality or a giagantic fantasy?
It could be as simple as believing in something thats not there, or hearing what doesn't speak. Control by a higher power, or being ignorant to what is obviously a lie.
What makes it so fake and fantastical that it's not something real?

Now, no way are we going to find an answer everyone agrees on, that is one of the only things that will be obvious in this thread.

What I want to know is, what is your take on the meaning of life?
Is it we live to breed and continue on our species through the next genration?
    To utimately die?
    To become rich and famous?
To gain pleasure at everything we do?
    To learn and become wise?

From both observations and personal experience, I have found many atheists to be quite intolerant of people who have a 'faith'. I don't believe that all atheists are like this, many do accept and tolerate the faith of others and their relgious views, but I still see many more being critical of relegions.

Anyone who is an atheist I would like to hear your views on what you think of relegions as being for example 'illogical.'
