"Hmm...." "...Hmm" "Hmm...." "...Hmm" "Thank you," the Beast said as he turned away ascending the staircase. "Now, please leave this place." "Sigh....yeah. Alright, I get it. Moumantai, Beast." Sankai began to open the gateway with The Truth Seeker. He began to focus his mind on where he wanted to go until the image of Wonderland appeared before him. "I think I'm getting the hang of this," he said as he walked through the portal. On the other side, he recognized the exotic plantlife familiar to Wonderland. "Sweet, I really did make it back...huh?" Sankai heard a ruckus and decided to head in the direction of the sounds. As he wandered through the little forest, began to reminisce about his first visit to Wonderland. It was in this area that he'd met the Cheshire Cat who gave him the cryptic riddle. Strange that the cat hasnt appeared since. Maybe it left or something. Whatever the case, he was closing in on the sound. He looked up to see the area where the rock had once been blocking the courtyard area. "I wonder what's happening?" he said to himself as he walked through the opening to the courtyard.
The battle continued as the two fought back to back against the heartless. Hundreds of the shadow creatures lept at them onlyto be slain. After Sankai had killed 75 heartless, TruthSeeker began to glow. "Huh? WHats this?" Suddenly, when he began to strike out at the heartless, a flurry of rose pedals began to fall behind the whip sword. Whenrever the pedals touched a heartless, they were instantly dispatched from the mansion. Within a few seconds, they were all gone. "Sweet! A new technique. I'll call it Rose Whip." The Beast turned to face Sankai. "Why did you help me?" "Because...even though we were fighting before, it was because we didnt recognize each other as allies, but now that we've fought together, I can clearly see that you aren't the enemy. I'm sure you noticed also." "Hmmm..." "The name is Sankai and I'm sorry about before. Like I said, I didnt realize we were allies until now." ----------------------------- Shaista stood up, renewed in his vow to lead Wonderland. After he calmed down a bit, he was back to his normal chill personality. Shaista: OK...now before I can do anything we have to set up a system by which to run Wonderland so that eveyone is happy.
Sankai looked back and forth between the Beast's struggle and the portal before him. "Sorry, guys. I can't go back yet. Not while I can see someone still needs my help. I'll see you guys later." Sankai rushes to the aid of the Beast, who is starting to be overwhelmed by the numbers of the heartless. The TruthSeeker extended into its whip-like form, quickly dashing through a couple of the heartless behind the buffalo man. "Why are you helping me? Get out of here" said the Beast as he tossed a coupleof heartless. "No can do. These guys are my enemies, too. Which means we're allies. I dont leave my allies behind." "You fool! I dont need any help. Now get lost!" "Sorry, I just cant do that. We're brothers in this struggle of fate." -------------------- Shaista: Do you mean to say that after what's happened, you want me to lead you? But...I... The conflict between realizing his goal of liberating Wonderland and grief over how the events had played out started to grow stronger and stronger within him. His cool collected dimeanor shattered and tears began to stream down his face. He lowered his head as he became overwhelmed by emotion. No one had ever seen Shaista lose his composure before, not even his council of friends. Shaista: ...I think I get it now. Thanks to you people, I finally understand. (wiping his eyes) I you would have me, please allow me to lead you into the future, people of Wonderland.
Shaista (caught off guard): Eh? Wait, what? Shaista was in total shock. He had felt so strongly about the situation, he had imagined the crowd lashing out at him. Getting locked up or worse and he wouldnt have blamed them. But the exact opposite had happened. Of course, this is much better, but he felt kind of bad inside. He didnt feel like he'd fully atoned for what he had done. This was the first time Shaista had ever felt such a sensation.
"Huh? Misusing? No way. I was in the middle of testing it out and I came here. I heard a roar and went to investigate and found this monster." Sankai looked confused "But why is it fighting the heartless?" -------------------- Shaista (at first looking a bit nervous but then becoming composed): Hello to everyone. I am Shaista, Emperor of The End. I'm glad to get to meet you, though I wish under better circumstances. I stand before you today because as you may have realized, your queen was recently assassinated and I am here to not only offer my condolences, but also to to apologize. For I am responsible for her death. He could already see the crowd starting to get abit riled. Shaista: Please let me explain the situation. After that, feel free to do whatever you feel is right. My family is from a long line of Archivers, who store up all possible data on events that occured during each generation. As the heir, it is my duty to memorize that data. While in my studies, I found that other places, other worlds were in existance other than mine, but as I delved deeper, I began to see that there was much suffering in as many of the realms as there are realms in peace. Many places ruled by people with dark hearts. When I saw this, I knew in my heart that this was not the way had been forever and it shouldnt stay that way, so I began to plan out how to go about liberating the people of these worlds. I realize now that my plans were somewhat flawed in not taking into account the people themselves who were in these situations. I guess I was all too naive back then. It took me 3 years to find a way to move between the world, so that I might in my eyes save the worlds. Upon arriving in this world, I remembered from my studies that the people in Wonderland lived under the rule of a cruel queen. After I left, I sent one of my agents, Vaquez to survey the area and search for the queen without being seen, to try to back up the information I already had. After further examination of the queen, I decided I would liberate these people from the queen and aid them as they searched for new leadership. Since I have my own kingdom to look after and since I'm a foreigner, it wouldnt be my place to take over, so the plan was that after the queen had stepped down (yeah that's how dumb I was) we could help the people find their own governing system and have them hold elections among themselves to select new officials to lead them into the future. But, my agent went too far, misinterpreting my orders. I am at fault for that too. I should have been more clear about my orders. As a result, my agent ended up killing her magesty and her army. When I heard, I knew I had to take responsibility and atone for my mistakes. It was foolish of me to think of things as they are in such away. I allowed my ambition and carelessness to get out of hand, trying to be this great savior, but I only caused more trouble for those I was seeking to help. It was not up to me to try to change things here or anywhere else for that matter. It is up to the people themselves if they want change. What's more the way I planned it out was underhanded, having Vaquez sneak around. I wish I had done things alot differently. I know I cant ever take back what I have allowed to happen, but I hope that even if you dont forgive me and hate forever, at least understand and know that I did not run away from my wrong. For a leader has to be responsible for those he leads. I'm sorry again to all those in Wonderland. I know this is a deed that may be too great for me to overcome, so I present myself to you. Do whatever you would with me. Shaista raised his hands in surrender before the crowd Vaquez: Lord Shaista...no. Shaista: Don't worry, Vaquez. Its like I said,' to be a leader means you being accountable for those you lead.' Vaquez: ..........
Shaista: No need to be so irritated. I mean this is only my second time coming. He looks at the back of Crysalis as she turned away and waited for a response. Shaista:...sigh. Well, if you dont want to, I'll understand. I would have at least liked to speak with them and apologize, but I guess its for naught if we can't even meet. Well, could I trouble you with one request, Crysalis? Take this letter and read it to the people. Please? Vaquez: Lord Shaista... -------------------------------- "Hey, you're that guy from back on Wonderland. Where'd you come from?" Sankai asked as the beast continued to ignore them, in pursuit of the heartless.
Suddenly, heartless appeared, surrounding the Beast and the three intruders. Beast's eyes shifted to the heartless and breaking past the three, he viciously assaulted the heartless, tearing them to pieces with his teeth and claws. ---------------------- After, he finished his prayer, Shaista stood up. Shaista: OK, I'm ready to face the people now.... Shaista starts to look around, somewhat confused, then looks to Crysalis scratching his head with an expression like this ^_^! Shaista: ...um, where are all the people by the way?
The beast and Sankai were divided by the air waves, each falling back with a thud. The ravenous beast lept at the two idle characters, but Sankai retrained it with the extended reach of his whip-sword keyblade. He was ready to shred it to pieces with TruthSeeker's chainsaw capabilities, but.... ------------------ After about an hour and a half, the courtyard was almost finished being cleaned. As the two finished up, Shaista brought out a stone and placed it where the scorchmarks the queen left behind were. He then lowered his head and said a short prayer over the carved stone. As he spoke, his words covered the face of the stone. Shaista:...May you rest in peace, Queen of Hearts.
Suddenly, tumbling down the stairs, Sankai and a large buffalo man (The Beast) were locked in combat. Steel met teeth and claw in a vicious clash of power. As hey hit the bottom, Sankai looked up and saw the stranger from earlier at Wonderland as well as another character with him, but before he had a chance to process the information, the beast struck again with Sankai back on the defense. ------------------------ Vaquez: I understand why I'm down here working, but why are you, Lord Shaista? Shaista(smiling): You fool...so you really dont understand, then? Well, that's fine. You'll find out that being a leader means you have to serve the people. Besides, I am accountable for your actions. Vaquez: But, why? Shiasta: Its part of what being a leader is all about. Even the young maiden there (points to Crysalis) understands. She has the potential to be a great leader for her people. I can see it in her eyes...but there is also abit of doubt there also.
Continuing the story: Final Chapter: Disaster and Rebirth. The area began to rumble as waves clashed against the World that Never Was. Quickly gathering his allies, the boy escaped, leaving behind the Emperor and his men, who were quite pleased that their plans had come to fruition. Because the boy had used Bending on the inverted light and dark to restore reality, there was a rebound effect, which the king had carefully calculated and made preparations for. The rebound to such a large undertaking as fixing reality with the bending skill called for something drastic to happen and sure enough, it did. People looked up to the sky in horror as a bright light filled the sky and a heavy darkness covered the ground. Darkness and light became overendowed, encompasing all in twilight. All that was left were ruins of places once called worlds, that fed The End at their demise, leaving only few behind. As all disappeared and vanished, even the Emperor. The Divine Queen and her judges also. The boy and his party were among those who remained but could they do as reality was reset. The tears of the children fell in distress. Cries for family, friends, and loved ones raised to the heavens. The world shattered and torn down all around them, all they could do was weep for the lost ones and cry out for relief...but just when all seemed lost, suddenly hope returned to the world of the lost ones. The tears of the children and the hope of their prayers came together as a shining force that rained down on everything, restoring to them the homes that were lost at the cost of their memories. Only those of a strong heart (or who had the events recorded) could remember the things that had occured. The worlds began to live separately again, oblivious to each other's existance for a time until gummi ships were developed. The boy and his party vanished without a trace. As to what happened to them, noone knows. THe End fell back into the shadows and a new age began... ---------------------------- Shaista began to clean up the area, aided only by Vaquez. He told Fern and Tina that since they werent responsible for it, they didn't have to help out unless they wanted to. Shaista and Vaquez were surprisingly fast workers, covering one are area at a time. All the time, theyworked in silence. Vaquez was bewildered at the sight of seeing Shaista doing work, but he knew he shouldnt speak against it, especially since he'd have to work alone if Shaista didnt help him.
(OOC: Its about over. I'll wrap it up in my next post) Shaista: My, my. Quite a different welcome from our last meeting...and how do you do, Crysalis? He looked around. Shaista: I came in person to apologize for my subordinate's actions, but I first decided to check out the scene of the crime myself. Seeing as my party is at fault, allow me to clean up here and also offer an apology and my condolences about your queen's passing. Also, please allow me to do whatever I can to make this right. Shaista came and bowed down before Crysalis Vaquez: Ah. Lord! (bows down beside Shaista) --------------------------- Sankai looked about, trying to find the source of the roar, but there was nothing around. He looked down the hall, turned and came down the other hall. Nothing. Maybe upstairs he thought to himself as he rushed to find the source of the loud monstrous sound.
(OOC: Oh, yeah. Sorry. When u write so much, sometimes everything runs together. lol!) Part 3: Key to Bending Light and Dark A young boy and his friends began to strike back against the threat of the heartless using this key-weapon. It appeared that only this party of small warriors could void the power the heartless. Once the Divine Queen got word of the boy and his companions, she immediately left the castle in search of them. The power of the Key-Weapon, which was the prototype to the keyblade, long sealed away for its power, was unbelieveable. The power of one's heart drove the blade's own power, so only one with a strong heart could wield it. It's power also grew as a result of the heart's connection to other hearts and would bless the wielder's companions with the ability to combat the heartless as well. But contrary to the keyblades of today, when a heartless is defeated by it, the heart taken by the heartless is stored inside the blade for protection instead of allowing it to float off to find its owner. Because of a misconception of this trait, many began to call it the Soul Eater, but it ever kept the hearts. Once the weapon reached a world where a heart belonged, it would release the heart. Meanwhile, the Emperor of The End also heard of the boy and sent forth his own army of End Soldiers to hunt and kill the boy who was obviously messing up his plans. He also readied his trump card for a royal flush (sorry for the pun) Luckily, the Queen made it to the key wielder and she formed an alliance with his party to stop the dark ruler's plans. Upon seeing the weapon, the Queen recognized it as the weapon sealed long ago and she began to teach him more of the different functions of the weapon, the most necessary to their cause, the power to bend elements. With that ability, they would travel to the world that never was and reset reality, by bending light and darkness out of their inverted state. The Emperor didn't make the road ahead any less periless as they came against the stronger heartless as well as his own armies, but they were able to battle their way through it all and make it The World tha Never Was. Once there an intense battle ensued against the Emperor and his attendants, leaving all but the boy and strongest of the Emperor's council incapacitated. With the fate of all reality resting in the hands of the boy and his key, he cut down the final attendant and invoked the power of Bending to restore what was once warped, but even when reality was fixed, it wasn't over. To be continued....Part 4: Disaster and Rebirth ------------------------------ Within the nexus of the portal, Sankai began to examine the inner workings of the portal and as he walked through, he found himself in another world "!!!!!!!!!!!!!" He looked around a large mansion, dimly lit. All was quiet until..."RRRRAAAAAAAAWWWWRRR!!!!!!!!!!!!" ------------------------------ When Shaista made it to the courtyard, he saw all the devistation left behind by Vaquez's attack. "Such a shame...hey, wait a minute. Why hasn't this place been cleaned up yet? This has been like this for quite a little time. I should help them out." Shaista called forth a portal and out came Vaquez. Vaquez:Huh, how'd I....? Oh, Lord Shaista. Shaista: Vaquez, since you made the mess, how bout you help me clean it up? Vaquez: What about the Collesium? Shaista (pointing to the council-member behind Vaquez): I'm sure he can handle it.
Part 2: End of Twilight Aldon continued: It only took about 10 years to completely unify all the known worlds under the rule of the newly appointed queen, but Kingdom Hearts had a long reign. As her first line of business was to hold elections in all the worlds to find new leadership for each individual realm. She then divided the kingdom up into districts, which were made up of groups of worlds. Judges were set over each of the four disticts to help delegate between the different worlds. For the most part, the Divine Queen ruled indirectly through the four judges while she kept darkness and light balanced. The judges also acted as her council, which she'd meet with periodically to assess the kingdom's state and decide on any new major regulations for the kingdom as a whole. After the government was reestablished, reconstruction began. A large celebration for the end of reconstruction was held. At a inagural ceremony, the heart moon was dedicated as Kingdom Hearts, in honor of prosperity that awaited them in the future. The golden age began. After 300 years of peace and prosperity, something noone but the 3 Oracles could forsee. Out of the dark void came a world noone knew of. A world that hadn't happened...yet. This world was The End. When The End of The World appeared, there was nowhere to run, to hide...nowhere to even look. The divine queen fought valiantly with the judges by her side against the End's own ruler, but the result was not what they had hoped. Because of the the kingdom that fought so hard to continue on forever contended with the kingdom that's purpose to end all that goes on, the balanced became inversed; light and dark began to deviate from twilight and a warped reality occured. Though The End's Emperor failed in his purpose, the queen was greatly weakened in the fight. Still the kingdom continued on, but it had new problems with the inverted light and dark darting about. The Queen formed a guardian force to look after the worlds and shield them from the ripple effect caused by distorted twilight. Two new rulers of End appeared trying their hand at overthrowing the queen, but both generations were defeated. The third finally arose and it was by his most wicked plans and actions that the queen finally fell. I was actually there when it happened. I dont know all the details, but first they took The World that Never Was. From there, true reality could be found, fore since reality was warped, that world which followed a different path was set in true reality. The Emperor came and from there he summoned agents from the dark, the heartless. Mindless, vile creatures which were bent on destruction. He placed his mark on them and sent them forth into the faulty reality that had no balance. The heartless attacked and began to consume the hearts of the people. The beasts seemed to be unbeatable, till one stepped out on courage, carrying an sword shapped like a key. to be continued in part 3. --------------------------------------- Sankai sighed. He stood up and waved TruthSeeker, forming a portal. He started towards it, then stopped and turned back to Crysalis. "I'm going to conduct some a few indept tests. Mind if I leave for a little bit? I promise I'll come back in a few," he smiled. ------------------------------------ "Sorry. No muffins, I'm afraid." Sankai smiled at Fern as he began to walk on ahead.
"Oh....sukoy("wow" in japanese...i think)" Sankai marveled at this new revelation. He decided to inspect TruthSeeker more closely to see if there were any other features about it he'd overlooked. He examined the hilt first then followed it up to the blade itself. He then tried to compare it with the butterfly keyblade of Crysalis in his mind. He couldn't deny the similar form of the 2, if one were to place them over a picture of a giant key, they'd easily fit, but the butterfly one didn't have a clasp that wrapped around the lower arm like the TruthSeeker. It was strange that it almost seemed to be attached to him. "Um, Crysalis, do you know about this too?" he asked pointing at the clasp. ----------------------------------- "Ah Tina, dont be like that," he gave her a little smile. "You almost seem annoyed at my request," continued jokingly. He stood up and looked around for a moment. "Before I go and speak, I'd like to survey the magnitude of Vaquez's error." He faces towards the courtyard. ----------------------------------- Aldon began telling Xana the story: Part: Buildup to Kingdom Hearts OK, so up until a couple hundred years ago, all the known worlds lived in harmony under one kingdom, just as the Emperor said. Before the Kingdom was formed, the world were in chaos as the forces of light and dark battled for control of the worlds. In the wake of their fight, the worlds themselves began to quarrel. Back then, the roads to the worlds were easy access, so a person could literally walk from one world to another. After awhile, one of the worlds, The World that Never Was destroyed all the roads connected to it and developed ships that would allow them to quickly move between worlds and conquer. Soon after, the other worlds followed suit, making their own variations of the ships. The chaos caused by the great many battles was devestating, a siece fire was called, so the worlds could all recover. Light and darkness both melted away for a time, which disrupted all the worlds' continuities. It was only after a young maiden, one of the guardians of twilight completed a daunting quest to bring back the light and dark that things turned around. She then became the balance between light and dark, keeping each in check. She had decided to retreat back to a secluded place to keep continuous watch over the balance, but all the worlds begged her to stay. With no leadership left due to the fighting, representatives from all the different worlds convinced her to remain as their leadership. From a castle of Twilight, she reigned, selecting delegates from among the people of the different worlds who had true hearts to lead the people. Talks of peace soon followed and after about forty years, all the worlds became united under one Kingdom:Kingdom Hearts. Part 2 next post...
OOC: Which story, gamefreak103?
Sankai looked up kind of surprised. "Keyblade? TruthSeeker's a keyblade?" He looked down at his trusted weapon. "How can you tell?" he asked, still trying to figure out the whole keyblade concept still. He had no idea it really was what she said. ----------------------- Meanwhile... "Tina...Fern...hey. So you two were here too, huh?" Shaista said warmly. "I guess Wonderland is a pretty popular place, today. Mind accompanying me while I try to fix Vaquez's mistake?"
Sankai stood idol in the garden. Gazing up at the bright blue sky, he wondered if what conditions the other worlds were in. More than that, he wondered what they were like. Drawing his TruthSeeker he looked over at Hakumei. "Hey, Hakumei? You ever been to other worlds?" A gentle stroke of Sankai's weapon opened a gate, which he looked into and then let it shut. He would do this repeatedly, trying to reinforce his skills an knowledge of the Pathfinder. Clearly, it was an easy task for him to just open a portal, but he wanted to be more efficient at it. ------------------------------------------- Meanwhile: Shaista: So....what you're saying is...you messed up? C5-1: Yessir Shaista: (sigh) Well, I guess I have no choice but to punish you for this. C5-1: I understand, sir. Council5 member 1 walks towards Shaista, but is suddenly grabbed by the Enigmantic Emperor. C5-1: AHHHHHHHH!!!!! Shaista: This'll teacha to misrepresent me! Shaista had Council Member 1 in a headlock, giving him a noogie. After about a minute, he lets him go. C5-1: That was the punishment, master? Shaista: What, you want me to kill ya or something? I know you didnt mean it. You were just doing what you thought I wanted. Just make sure you do exactly what I tell you next time, ok? C5-1: Hai, master. Shaista: .....(sigh)....anyways, I want you to go back and at least try to make things right. C5-5: I dont know, Shaista. He seemes to have become public enemy number 1 there. Maybe you should go in person to clear up the matters yourself. Shaista: I guess....just kidding. OK, I'll go. But who's gonna stick around and take care of this place for me? C5-1: We can take care of it. Council5: Hai! Shaista opens a portal and begins to enter Wonderland.
"Oh," he responded, looking down at his shoes. "How come? I mean they have all this beautiful scenery around. Was it because of the Queen? Or maybe they didn't like their surroundings? I guess there's also the possibility that the other residents are....apart of a secret society..." Sankai began to ramble on, speculating as to why the people wouldnt come out. It became very funny to him s he came up with more wilder and crazier reasons for staying hidden. Then he thought," Or maybe its for their protection...you know, from enemies." ___________________ EE Lord: So, where do we go from here, my good friends? Aldon: I require time to think this through. Come, Xana. Xana: Yeah. EE Lord: Take your time. Aldon and Xana leave through a portal Xana: Aldon, what the heck was that about? Aldon: ...nevermind. Xana: What?! Aldon: Sorry, but for now, just try to take in what he told us. Then you'll understand.
EE Lord: You've gone quiet. Please me whats on your mind. Aldon is locked in deep thought, while Xana is trying to sort out what he just heard. EE Lord: Don't tell me I caught you offguard with that little spat of knowledge. Or maybe you're wondering how and why I know. Well, to tell the truth, a part of my family's legacy was collection of data. Back then, it was just the archival of events in history, but now its even expanded further. There are libraries filled with books on the reign of the Twilight Queen alone where I come from and it is the heir's job to just about everything that's written on those pages. I've been taught these things since childhood, so I've gathered vast amounts of knowledge. The Vision Orbs didnt hurt either. Aldon looked up in surprise: The vision orbs?! How did you obtain those? Xana looked even more curious: Vision Orbs? EE Lord: Hmm...you know of them? That means one of the orbs that was lost somehow made its way to another world. You see, my family, being the archivers of data, created the Vision Orbs to record record events as data to be played back. Aldon: is that so? EE Lord It is. ----------------------------- Sankai began to look back and forth, "Come to think of it, I never saw any other people around here. Where are they at?"
OCC: OK I updated the front page. The Enigmatic Emperor watched the two speaking among each other. He thought about what they're goal meant to him. Of course, he had no idea exactly how they felt, but he wanted to imagine, if only to try to understand them better. ------------------------------------------- Sankai began,"Crysalis...well, what now?" He looked over at Hakumei, "Sorry, I havent properly introduced myself. I'm Sankai."
