Any Drakengard fans out there? For some reason, this is one of my favorite SE games. Drakengard II definitely had a great story and became very emotional if you played the first one. I love the heavenly aspect of these games, the phrase "the watchers dance" and "the gods will destroy your creators" have never sounded so awesome. The gameplay, meh, I don't normally like Hack-n-Slashes but this one was just too fun, the moves, the gore, the spells, the weapons, I love it all. Not too mention, this game has one of the greatest song's ever in it(Growing wings). If you haven't played this game, since it's so cheap now, it's beyond a must play(since it was a must play when it came out), even if you don't like Hack-n-slashes.
I must say it, it was awesome. This review will contain spoilers(hey, a time when spoiler tags would be useful). Plot: I went into this movie and thought I knew exactly what was going to happen and that I wouldn't enjoy it too much because I figured out the plot before I actually saw the movie... Man, was I wrong. My theories about the movie were completely off, I thought the Surfer would be going from planet to planet trying to save them from being destroyed, because you know, he's a HERO not a vilain. But I was surprised to find out he was working with the Planet Eating thing... The plot was a bit cliche'd I must say and it became alittle preidctable. However, their were a few things that happened I didn't expect. What are they? Not saying, I want you to be surprised too... I think the plot gets an 8/10 for being good but alittle predictable and cliched. Characters: We all know The Thing, Mr Fantastic, The Human Torch, and Invisible Woman. However, there characters were different in this it seemed. Alot of there personalites showed development, and I thought it was good. We saw more of there personalities in this than in the first one, and as I siad, it was done well. The Surfer's characterisation was definitely done the best, they made him a mysteriuos evil, I like that. And then maknig him into what he was at the end, it was done very fell. Characters and Character development gets 9/10, good, but not great. Humor: We all know by now that Fantastic 4 movies are definitely going to be fileld with humor, to the point it gets it's own small section. The humor was definitely well placed and it was actually humorous(unlike certain Spider-Man 3 humor...). It was done more than by Johhny Storm, it seemed everyone made a pun or two in this, though Johnny's was still the best... The comic relief near the end was done well IMO. It made me forget about the plot for a moment. Humor, 10/10. Action: I'm not even going to attempt to describe it, all I can say is there were parts where I turned to the persom next to me and said, "Now that was cool." It was done very well, but not as good as Spider-Man. And since I know they had the capabilites to make it better, it must be downgraded despite how awesome it was. 8/10. Overall(not an average): Overall I give the movie a 9/10. It's definitely a must see. It kept my attention the whole time(and anyone who knows me knows that's a tough task) and the action was just plain awesome. There it is... I should get my own column for these, lol.
....*just noticed* Grats RVR, hope you enjoy yourself.
Calm down, stop annoying people, and stop bumping old threads. Better yet, just STFU for awhile, your annoying people, it's not good. I mean right now I think noodleboy is more liked than you...
Ok staff, we need to lighten this rule down a bit. Like, quite a bit. First off, it's jsut silly limiting what we can talk about that much in a place that's supossed to be a place of fun, minor stupidity, and randomness. I can understand you trying to limit the mass spam that follows the threads, but how about we just make a rule on that? Is that so hard to do? I mean, users here repeat alot of things done, just make a rule on that and you'd be fine.... Now if it's the jelousy thing, you need to grow up, seriously... Jelousy is a common problem and your not fixing the problem, your just leaving it broken and putting a half-assed barricade in front of it, not cool... The reason we make a thread about one person is to either mock something that person just said or to spread the joy. Both are just in good fun, which I'm pretty sure is what the spamzone is about, atleast I think that's what the decription says. Hell, they have no reason to be jelous when we're letting them know what's going on and letting them in on the fun... It's just stupid. Alot of the users are pissed about this, as they've been letting you know in many threads. Your job is to not only prevent the users from breaking rules, but to keep them hapy within reason, is it not? Fix the problem... ~shadowjak
DA...(in other words my latest rant) DA, our 'beloved' Super Mod... likes to watch Despirite Housewives... 0.o EDIT: For tohse of you looknig for a rant, this on is doen differently. I'm jsut mocknig the rule in everyway...
Yes, grats to our two new S Mods! Whoever the hell they may be... But that doesn't matter at the moment. (Yes, I am seriously congradulating you both and at the same time wondering who IcyKitty is, Soushirei I know.)
I've been gone for a few days so I could concentrate on studying for my exams, etc and I come back to find 20 new PMs, literally. Only one of these is a nice PM, the other 19, well the senders can f*ck off. I'm not going ot name htem, they know who they are, however I'm reading a few of these off just to vent. Hell you know what, I'm going to publically respond to all of them. 1(the only nice one). "you didn't leave did you? That would seriously suck!" Thank you for caring and being a fan. 2. "So I heard your *****y *** left, the site will be better without your riots" 3." Ha, see your stupid *** in three weeks like everyone else" 4."Glad you finally left you ****ing hypocrite. Your little remarks to everything were so annoying they drove me to the point I needed to flame you like this. Have fun and life, see you in hell you angry little *****" Since these are basically the same thing, and on the same intelligence for that matter, I'll respond to them at the same time. Without my complaints and random ownings I gurantee the site would be alittle boring. As for the rioting, I'll resond to that down below. A few more went on like those PMs above, and I don't have the attention span to right the same thing 15 times... But there were four telling me to stop rioting, etc. And now I'm reading off the most intelligently done one and responding to it right here. "dude, why the hell do you riot and insult everyone at every turn? You complain bout everything you don't like and if anyone suggests something you flame them when theres no damn reason. just tell me, why the hell do you do that?" Yes, THAT was the most intelligent one... But I'll handle this maturely... I riot because when I'm pissed off, let down, dissapointed, angry, ripped off, etc about something I know I'm not the only one feeling that way. I do know however if I don't say anything, everyone will just hold back thoughts and mostly just play into the mods trying not to start anything. I know no one had said a word about the staff on the forum(messengar doesn't count my friends) until I decided to say something. Same with the emoticons. The emoticons were horrible, no one said sh*t until I made a thread(well one person did but from what I heard thta had like two views, and they didn't put down the emoticons weh ave now, they just said we should have more). Am I giving myself too much credit? Damn right I am. As much as I riot, I would've been banned without the many users giving me support. I count on them to support me, hence why I don't just go to the mods, there's more strength in numbers and the best wya to show it is by seeing what people think here. About the suggestions, it's called harsh criticism, I want their to be good ideas here so the site can make some more advances and get even better. That's hard ot od when people suggest things like infinity day... The harsh criticism lets them know to think things through. Wow, that post was ALOT calmer than I intended but I vented so I'm good...
I just saw it on TV the other day with a few of my friends(we were bored, really 'bored'), and now it has to be my favorite comedy. Has anyone else seen it?
I got R&C size matters last week and just beat it now I must review it... You know, the weirdest thing about this is I like it better than the PS2 games. The gameplay is ggood, a bit hard to get at first due to the lack of right analog stick, but hey, I'm commenting on the game not the system. The weapons are more original than the other PS2 games's weapons(especially since there were usually all based on another weapon...) and just more fun to use. The platforming is much better done than in UYA. The boss fights actually happen more and are more fun than in UYA or DL. Basically, the game is more fun than the others, but the controls make it lacking, but I look past that. This is a must buy for the PSP if you own one. That concludes my pointless review(even though it is too short to be considered a review...)
That I'm the only active old reg who hasn't atleast made Premium... It actually made me lol today when I looked at the whose online list.
What games are you hopnig to see? Personally, I hoping for more info on Ratchet and Clank Futures: Tools of destruction. Not so much for Uncharted, but I'm hoping ND pulls an insomniac and shows a surprise J&D trailer(I can hope...). Hze is definitley the game I want to see more of. It looks awesome from that one trailer, now we need gameplay footage. Normally, I'd say Splinter Cell: Convictions, but it looks like crap... Halo Wars is definitley one I'll be looking for. FFvsXIII should have a new trailer... RE5 I doubt will have a new trailer until TGS, but I can hope... Metroid and Super Mario Galaxy are what I need to see for the Wii. That's all I care for.
It's getting annoying... Their is a board for people who want to read those. Stop saying your having a problem and then post a song lyric. It's imatture and just annoying.
Anyone else find it odd that Terra, the leading keyblade knight, is Riku's element. And not only that, but Terra definitely seems to be Xehanort, not from the yellow eyes, etc, but from what Xigbar said when talking to Zexion he hinted pretty strongly that Xemnas was once Terra since Ven is in the Room of Awakening and Aqua is in the Room of Rest and there are no other knights but Terra... If Xehanort if Terra, what does that mean for Riku? Does that mean he's repeating the history of Terra/Xehanort? Does that mean it's something extremely cliched like he's Xehanort's son(which saldy makes sense due to the fact he knew where destiny island was, same eye color, hair color, keyblade form(the eye), and same interests)? What's your take? Personally, I hope it's he's repeating history. I love it when Protaganists repeat the history of the main vilain or some character(Sasuke-Orochimaru, Raiden- Snake, Snake-Big Boss, Jecht-Tidus, Zack-Cloud, etc).
Can someone make me an avatar of the ES(I would say Terra but that might be confusing considering how many Terra's there are...) from the new scan? Scan(if you haven't seen it yet, which I doubt): http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y197/shadowjak88/1_Scenario_Mysteries.jpg If that's too hard since it's a bad picture, then just screw that one and make me an avatar of this(I know, I have such a way with words):http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y197/shadowjak88/KH2-FMsecretending009_0001.jpg Text: If you use the scan, put shadowjak. IF you use the other image, put 'Fallen' Make one of these an avatar and I'll add you to my 'do not flame list' Thanks in advance.
Well, here's a brief summary of what I think of the movie: it's funny, tragic, and packed full of action. Some stuff was introduced way too quickly in the beginining and you'll definitly say 'wtf' at first, however later you realize it was a good thing. For example, The Green Goblin fight, it took place during the first 20 minutes and I was instantly like "WTF!" since that was one part of the movie I was really hyped up about and was alittle pissed it took place so soon. However, it worked for when things got slower later so I started to realize it was great timing. 9/10 The funny parts were as I just said, funny. There will be parts where your laughing to tears. Normally they sneak in Spidey's comical lines, but this time they had a long ten minute scene where you will be laughing like crazy and discussing it's stupidity with the people next to you. 8/10 The dramatic and tragic parts were done so perfectly. There were times where I was like in shock from the things happening. They were done so perfectly that they almost made me cry which isn't exactly the best thing for when surrounded by a big group of friends(seriously, I went with 30 people, that's another thing, if you go, try to go with a bunch of people). I give the dramatic parts a 10/10 The action was amazing, and I hate that word, but it truly was amazing. The fight were done so much better than the other two movies. They used much more CGI and more effects and they did it perfectly. there was action everywhere and you'd constantly be saying 'awesome!' The Venom fight is a perfect example, however due to the immense spoilers I'll let you see what I mean. Action gets a 10/10 The story... Was presented perfectly, they truly did a good job here. The vilians you either felt sorry for or just hated. Spidey's new suit was alittle poorly presented compared to what they could've done with it. The story was placed perfectly and just drew me in the whole movie, and we all know how picky I am when it comes ot story. 9/10... The acting was literally perfect, every character fit the role so well. I never thought Topher Grace would be good for Venom but he just did it perfectly. T make it short, 10/10. Overall(not an average) gets a 9.8/10. So close to perfect but they could've touched up a few things.
Is it just me or is there a lack of good threads to post in? Seriously, everytime I coem onto the Spam Zone or the Anything Else sections it just seems like none of the threads in there are threads I would enjoy posting in or is even worth my tiem to read... As I said, maybe it's just me, but I felt the need to bring this up...
I've lost all hope in RPGs... The last real RPG(by which I mean I don't count FE: PoR, and SPM rela RPGs) I remember actually enjoying was Tales of Symphonia and .Hack GU(and if you count it, TP). Ever since then every RPG I get sucks horribly. Examples: DoC, FFXII, KHII, Dragon Quest IX, FF:Crystal Chronicles, Rouge Galaxy, SO3 etc. Now I used to be a big RPG fan, but lately they've just been horrible game after horrible game. Anyone else feel this way? As for me, I've put all of my remaining hope into two games: FFVII:CC and Lost Odyssey. Mostly because both are in a way apart of the series that really got me into RPGs(sure, Legaia was my first RPG, but if it wasn't for FFVII I never woudl've continued with them). Crisis Core reflects on my favorite character of FFVII and Lost Odyssey is being made by the true knig of RPGs himself, the man who made FFVII and FFVI. If those fail then I'll give up all hope and the last one I purchase will be FFvsXIII.
Well, I just got my warning for flaming. One more and I'm gone from what I understand, how long do you think I'll actually be able to hold anger at people's idiocy for? Am I having too much fun with this thought? Definitly.
Can someone remove the subs from this pic? My spriter can't make out the details of his clothes through them so I need them removed...
