    That's crazy!!

The children meant no harm at all. I dont see why ANYONE should suffer from this.

Some people are seriously messed up. I mean, I completely understand WHY they'd be...offended...by the name, but still, the punnishment was harsh!

I think the point of life is to serve our purpose.

Whether you believe in a Superior being, or just that 'we're here', there must be some reason as to WHY we're here, no?

I mean, think of it like a line of people waiting to enter the world.

Why did YOU go into the world, at the time you did? Couldn't it have just as easily been the person in back of you go? So why was it YOU and not the other person?

I believe we all have a destiny.

*kingdom hearts music plays in the background so I throw a rock at the music player and break it*

I'm serious! We all have some destiny, or purpose to complete or serve out. Until we do, I don't think we're going to die. People who die must've already lived out their purpose. Even those who are murdered--perhaps it was their purpose to die, to maybe teach a lesson or something.

    My thoughts exactly.

I don't know. I often think too deeply about stuff.

Dreams, memories, midnight, rain, time, space...

It's odd. Really, it is. Lol, sometimes I can't help but feel like I'm looking for some big answer or connection of some sort.

    An illusion, eh? Interesting...

Couldn't have said it better myself :)

    Uhh....thank you? *sweat*

    Hmm...

It seems the cards aren't in my favor here *nervous laugh*

Oh well, once I figure this out, I'll come back with a better argument!

Then, wouldn't nothing in itself be nothing?

*sigh* This sounded A LOT better in my head...

    0_o

    I hate you both.

*laughs* Only kidding! Kidding, just kidding! You two have some VERY interesting ideas and perspectives. I seriously respect that.

I don't think Space truly exists. If it did, why is it called 'space'?

And Vacuums are known to be real. Sure, we've never created one and tested it to see if was truly nothing, but we know it's real. So, it seriously could be 'nothingness'.

Ugh...This is going around in circles!!

In order to prove 'Nothing', you need 'Infinity'.
In order to prove 'Infinity', you need 'Nothing'.

I don't think there will EVER be a clear answer to this...

    Nothing doesn't exist, eh?

    Explain Space. Explain Vacuums.

You do have the upper hand here. I admit we DO exist within Time, but it is us who represent time, is it not? Then, if we represent time, then why aren't we 'infinite' as well?

Maybe the truth is that both of us are wrong.

Maybe there is no such thing as 'nothing', and maybe there's no such thing as 'infinity'.

    EXACTLY!!!!

So, in order for 'anti-time' to exist, then there MUST be some sort of void or nothingness in existence.

    *nod* Makes sense.

I see exactly what you're saying.

But, nothing is absolutely infinite. From breaking apart paper to time to even space itself, NOTHING is infinite. Everything has to end, at one point or another.

If time was infinite, then our time would be infinite as well. If time were truly infinite, then we would live infinitely, for 'our' time would be infinite. (But that's something completely and totally different...)

There has to be nothingness in the world! Just as there is matter, there must be the 'absence' of matter! Like light and dark. Dark is the absence of light. Light is there, and dark is not. Darkness IS nothingness.

(Oh wow I sound like Xemnas...*gonk*)

yea, Sorry for bringing that up...

*writes it down for a different discussion for another day*

...so, are you saying there could possibly be no such thing as Midnight?

Wow. Never thought of it like that.

That's something that's sorta always bothered me: Why are certain things the way they are? Like, I know this is very random, but why is the sky 'blue'? Who said the color 'blue' was 'blue'? It could've just as easily been that the color 'blue' was defined as the color 'red'...right?

Does anyone get what I'm saying here?

    Really interesting...

Of course time can't stop. It would just go against so many laws is time were to just stop...

I'm saying that, as time continues, is it possible for the absence of time to continue, if it even exists? I honestly have no proof that anti-time exists ^^; but it just makes sense to me. Really hard to explain, though...

I see where everyone's going with this but then, how can we call 12:00:00 midnight 'midnight' if it's really the transition between night and day?

So, either 'midnight' is the name for that "nothingness" that occurs between 11:59:59 and 12:00:00, or is 'midnight' the name for the actual transition, the "process" of night turning into day?

And I agree, Midnight is probably the coolest time of day :)

But have you ever considered that there could be an even SMALLER fraction that "can't" be calculated?

  13. Axel's#1fangirl
Hmmm... You've definitely got a point there!

But still...are you saying that there isn't even a fraction of a period of the day when we live in pure nothingness? That we're apart of nothingness?

If there is 'time', surely there must be the absence of time?

Like matter and anti-matter? Or light and dark?

I think for everything there is, there's an opposite.

So, if there must be 'time', there must be 'anti-time'.

And the only time I could think that there would be 'anti-time' would be at 12:00:00 midnight...

    I suppose so...

but still, there's still a period of time in which it's nothing. That's theres no time, since 0:00 doesn't truly exist...

Sorry, I mean the moment between 11:59:59 and 12:00:00 *sweat*

There has to be a bit of a...laspe, if you will, more like a...darn what's the word for it? Um...Transition! There!

There has to be some sort of Transition from 11:59:59 to 12:00:00, right?

So in that spilt moment between evening and morning, what is it?

Or does such a transition even exist?

    I mean, Midnight is so...amazing...

For that spilt-of-a-split second, when the clock is in the midst of turning 12 Midnight, what happens?

Is it the evening, or the morning?

    Or is it nothing?

It's really fascinating...to think that, for a moment only, a moment so short that it's hardly thought about...

That we're all apart of true Nothingness...

    Weird to think about, huh?

    So what do you think?
