Chapter 9! WOOT CH 9!!! Xemnas: 'bout time. Me: Hey, I can kick all of yall' out of here anytime I want. Everyone: ... YAY ! Me: Thought so :) *Kuxir and Xoras walk in* Xed: Ku! Xor! I saved your seats for you! Riku and Roxas: The seats were for THEM!?! Xed: Yea. Riku and Roxas: >:P Kuxir: We would've been here earkier, if SOMEONE hadn't shot open the popcorn machine *glares at Xoras* Xoras: Hey! I'm an assassin, it's what I do; shoot things :) Xigbar: Right on! Xoras: YEAH! Me: If you all don't mind, I'd like to start the new chapter. Demyx: What about the big surprise? Me: Chapter 10. If I put it at the end of this chapter, I'd have to make the chapter too long. Don't worry, it's worth the wait :) Everyone: Awwww... :( Me: But to make up for it, I put up another chapter of Bring Me To Life. Everyone: WOOT!! *Everyone gets quiet and movie starts* Chapter 9 After checking on the situation with Leon and everyone else, Riku and King Mickey went for a short walk, to observe how the system was working, and to talk about what had just occurred. “I…I still can’t believe it!” Riku said, a smile on his face. “Rae-I mean, Xed’s okay!” The King looked up and smiled at his friend, who continued. “I was sure that…” Riku’s expression dropped, his smile rapidly fading into a frown. He stopped walking and looked down at the ground. “...I was sure that she was dead.” The King could only look at his friend with concern and sympathy, although neither helped. “But she’s not!” Mickey insisted, smiling up at his friend. He placed his hands on his hips. “She’s alive, and that’s all that matters. No need to dwell on the past that you can’t change.” Riku nodded slightly. “I guess so…” “My, my, Riku…haven’t we grown?” Riku raised his head, and the two looking around wildly, in search of the source of the voice that had just spoken. “Who’s there?” Riku shouted, narrowing his eyes. A light chuckle could be heard as a Corridor of Darkness opened up in front of him. Out stepped a cloaked figure, with his hood up, concealing his face. Riku grit his teeth. “Who are you?” He demanded, summoning his Keyblade. The figure struck a thoughtful pose. “You don’t remember me?” He asked, his tone void of emotion. He then shook his head sympathetically. “I suppose all that time in Castle Oblivion went to waste.” The figure reached up, and pulled his hood down. The figure was indeed a man, with slate-colored hair that covered the right side of his face. His face was a pale ivory color, and his visible eye was a deep indigo shade, reflecting a sense of deep intelligence and thoughtfulness. Riku raised an eyebrow. “You…you seem…familiar…” he stated, still looking at the man in front of him. Zexion. Huh? Zexion. His name is Zexion. Remember? “You’re…Zexion…” The man smiled slightly, a hint of amusement and mockery on his lips. “So you do remember me.” He said, his voice monotone. “Very good.” “Wait a minute!” The King said, speaking for the first time in this conversation. “If you’re from Castle Oblivion…” The mouse King looked up at Riku. “Didn’t you kill him?” Riku nodded, confused slightly. “I should’ve…” He then glared at Zexion. “I did!” He gripped his weapon tighter. “How did you live?” The Cloaked Schemer chuckled. “First off, I am a Nobody. I never was ‘alive’ in a sense. All of the Organization XIII members are not ‘alive.” Click. Something came to Riku’s thoughts. Xed was a Nobody. He had been told that she was part of the Organization, but it never really hit him that she was a Nobody. “And secondly, you never killed me.” Riku and the King looked up at the man in disbelief. “What?!” Riku exclaimed. The Nobody chuckled, crossing his arms. “I suppose you hadn’t caught on.” He remarked snidely. “Yet again, we concealed it so well, I’m not surprised you didn’t know.” “What are you talking about?” The Keyblade bearer loosened his grip a little. Zexion looked up into the sunset-tainted sky, and sighed, before looking back down towards the two. “Everything, everything about Castle Oblivion, the plot, the Organization members there, even the Castle itself…” He smiled slyly, twisting his lips into a rare, but cruel, smile. “…Was all an illusion.” +++ “Xed? Xed, are you in there?” Sora said loudly, knocking on the door of the workshop. He, Donald, and Goofy had come back to where they met Xed before, in hopes of finding her and asking her if she knew where Riku and the King were. After a few knocks, and no one answering the door, Goofy sighed. “Guess she’s not here.” Donald crossed his arms. “Where are we going to look now? They could be anywhere!” “We could go ask Leon.” Sora suggested. “Naw, he doesn’t know.” The trio looked behind them to see Xoras standing there, leaning against a wall, his arms crossed, a smirk set on his face. “How do you know?” Donald quacked, placing his hands on his hips. Xoras shrugged. “Call it…a hunch.” “Well, do you know where King Mickey is?” Goofy asked, scratching his head. The Heartless chuckled. “Oh, you mean that mouse guy?” He said, walking over towards the group. “Nope, haven’t seen them. But,” He sighed, looking up at the sky, “I heard they were heading towards the Great Maw.” The party smiled excitedly. “Ok, thanks!” Sora said, as the three raced off. Xoras watched as they disappeared from sight. “Oh, wait!” he called after them softly, an expression of fake concern spreading on his face. “I forgot to mention that the Organization is going to be there, and will most likely try to kill you.” A devious smile set upon his face, along with a cruel laugh. “Whoops.” +++ Sora, Donald, and Goofy ran as fast as they could, until they reached the large expanse of land known as the Great Maw. They all fell to the ground, catching their breath. “Well…” Goofy huffed, “It looks like we beat them here.” Sora nodded. “Yeah…” he huffed back in response. “Look who we have here…” The three looked around frantically. “Did you hear that?” they asked together in unison. “Our Heroes…” Suddenly, a dark portal opened up, and a tall, cloaked figure stepped out, his hood down, revealing his face. He had somewhat long silver hair, sort of spiky, tanned skin, and amber colored eyes. His face expressed intelligence, and amusement. “Who’s that?” Donald asked. Goofy shook his head. “I dunno…” “What do you want, Nobody?” Sora demanded. The figure chuckled slightly, and crossed his arms. “What I want…” “Hey guys!” The trio turned around to see Xed walking towards them, waving and smiling. They then turned back towards the Nobody in front of them, who was now smiling cruelly. “…Is a test of her loyalty.” “Hey Xemnas.” Xed said, walking up to the group. She cocked her head slightly. “What are you doing here?” The man looked over at her. “Oh, just meeting these new ‘friends’ of yours.” He said simply, stressing the word ‘friends’ ever so slightly. Sora placed his hand out, causing Xed to back up. “Stay away from him!” he commanded. “He’s with the Organization; he could attack us!” Xed raised an eyebrow. “Umm…Sora, you know that—“ “We’ll get him!” Donald shouted, taking out his staff. Goofy took out his shield, Sora took out his Keyblade, and the three took a fighting stance. Xed just looked at the three in complete horror and confusion. “Guys, stop!” she said, but no one was listening. Xemnas looked at Xed’s expression, and sensed her arising anger. Sora raised his Keyblade, and charged towards Xemnas, who stood still, making no effort whatsoever to defend himself or attack back. Once he was close enough, the young Keyblader brought his weapon crashing down— CLASH!! Sora gasped softly, surprised that his attack had been stopped. But not by Xemnas. Sora looked up to see Xed standing between he and his target, a Keyblade blocking his previous attack and pressing against his own. “Get…away…from…Xemnas…” She growled, causing Sora to jump back. Once he had backed away, Xed raised her Keyblade up in a threatening position. Xemnas smirked. Perfect. “B-but why?” Sora stuttered, still in disbelief. He then grit his teeth and pointed an accusing finger at Xemnas. “Why are you protecting that Nobody!?!?” Xed narrowed her eyes, which were starting to flame up with anger. “First, he has a name. His name is Xemnas.” She growled quietly. “He is leader of the Organization XIII, and my Superior. Therefore, I will do whatever it takes to protect him.” “He’s a Nobody! A nothing!” Donald shouted in retaliation. “He’s not worth protecting!” “Shut up!” Xed snapped, surprising even Xemnas at the sharpness of her words. I knew she had a temper, but I never knew she was so…protective… “You are to leave him alone!” she demanded, her expression becoming a little calmer. “Leave him and the rest of the Organization alone.” Goofy shook his head. “We can’t do that! Master Yen Sid says we have to destroy Organization XIII!” He said. “We have to get rid of all the Heartless and Nobodies, so the worlds can be at peace again.” Xed expression changed to realization, softening greatly. She dismissed her Keyblade, and crossed her arms. “I see.” She said simply, nodding her head slowly. “In order for the worlds to be right again, all Heartless and Nobodies must die.” Sora nodded, loosening his grip on his weapon. “Exactly.” Xed nodded. “Alright. Go ahead, kill Organization XIII.” Xemnas glanced down at her, confusion and anger dancing in his eyes. What? What is she…? The trio’s eyes widened at this. The girl who just yelled at them for attacking one of the Organization members just gave them permission to kill them. “Really?” Sora asked. Xed nodded, and smiled. “Yep. Of course, once you start, you can’t stop.” Donald nodded. “We know.” “You’d have to kill all of the Organization members.” Sora nodded, getting into a fighting stance once again. “We know that! lol, I've never heard of that show before, but i'll check it out sometime :) Hmmm...well, I always add major drama in my stories (ex: someone dies, betrayal, etc.), which adds to the adventure and excitement, making it somewhat epic...? ok, i honestly have no clue as to why my stories come out the way that they do. it's just that...when I think of the scenes in my stories, it's like watching a movie. And sometimes, I can see everything so perfectly, I wish i could hook my brain up to a TV, so everyone can watch my thoughts. I just type what i see, and hope that's good enough. With your story, dont write down rough drafts. Just think about them, and visualize them. When you can see your story perfectly, and have everything thought out from the biggest aspects to the smallest details, THEN type/write them out. Trust me, works wonders :) *reads what i just wrote* Wow. Thats sounds sorta corny.... ;o_0 *points to Zaria* Yeah, what they said! And thats a cool method! I can't type w/o looking at the keyboard though, so...yeah...lol... *laughs nervously and smiles sheepishly*

Nixon: I say steal one. Luxord: Gotta go with him on this one. Me: T_T; Everyone just watch the movie and enjoy. *Everyone gets quiet* ~Chapter 8~ Saix took Xed through the portal and into a large castle somewhere in a dark city. Despite her protests for him to let go of her so she could walk on her own, he kept his grasp on her arm as he dragged her to a large, white room with very tall chairs in it, 14 chairs to be exact. Sitting on the chairs were 12 black-cloaked figures, their hoods down. The figure in the tallest chair, a man with long silver hair that was slightly spiked, and golden eyes glanced down at the two members who had just entered the room. He narrowed his eyes. “You two are late.†He stated simply, annoyance clear in his tone. Xed finally yanked away from Saix’s grip, and crossed her arms. Saix looked up at the man who had just spoken. “Superior, Number XIII has just met some new people.†He said. Another man, one who was well built with dark colored dreadlocks and cobalt eyes raised an eyebrow. “Who? And why does this concern us?†he questioned. Xed looked up at him, and the rest of the figures. “Well, their names are Sora, Donald, and Goofy, and—“ She stopped suddenly, as she noticed the surprised looks upon the other member’s faces. “Sora?†Another man, with flaming red hair, fiery emerald eyes, and diamond-shaped marks under his eyes, said. Xed nodded. A stiff silence followed after, and lasted a moment or two. The first man cleared his throat, shattering the deafening silence. “I see.†He said, keeping his voice calm. “Until further notice, I want you to not be around him, Xedramon.†Xed looked up at him, her mouth wide open. “Xemnas! That’s not fair!†she yelled. “It is perfectly fair, Number XIII.†The man named Xemnas said. Xed narrowed her eyes. “No, it’s not!†“He may be dangerous, Xed.†Another man with bright blonde hair, shining blue eyes, and many ear piercings said, his accent thick and British-like. “He’s not dangerous!†She retorted. “Maybe he can help us—“ “Enough!†Xemnas shouted, his expression reflecting anger. “Xedramon, it is an order for you to stay away from him. Do I make myself clear?†Xed muttered some sort of response, looking at the ground. “Pardon?†“I said fine.†“Good.†The Superior said, relaxing a bit in his chair. Xed sighed. “Can I go back to Hollow Bastion now? I’ve got stuff to do.†“I’ll take ya.†Another man volunteered. He had long black hair, streaked with silver that was pulled into a ponytail. There was a scar marked onto his right cheek, and an eye patch over his left eye. Xed smiled. “Thanks Xigbar.†The man created a portal to get down from his chair, and appeared next to the girl. He then opened another portal, and the two walked through it. Once both were gone, Saix portaled to his own chair and took a seat. An uncomfortable silence followed. “So…she knows now.†Xemnas said, rubbing his temples with his hand. “What a mess…†The man with the dreadlocks commented. “Heh, doesn’t surprise me.†Another figure, a woman, with blonde hair and sea-green eyes said. She leaned back in her chair, a sly smile set on her face. “ ‘Bout time the brat found out.†“Something tells me she doesn’t know everything.†Another man, whom was well built, had somewhat spiky orange hair, and clear blue eyes added in. “What do you mean, Lexaeus?†The man with the dreadlocks asked. Lexaeus crossed his arms. “I’m not sure; she just doesn’t seem to know. I mean, she would seem angrier with us if she were to know, wouldn’t she?†“Well,†the man with the red hair from before said, “what now? How are we gonna save our butts this time?†“We’ll do what we have been doing all this time.†Xemnas said, a sly smirk on his face. Another man with shoulder-length blonde hair and bright green eyes leaned forward in his chair, his face contorted in anger. “Xemnas, we can’t keep this up!†he said. “She’s going to find out sometime, and it’ll only be worse on both parts.†“Vexen.†Xemnas boomed at the other man, sitting up a little straighter. “I’m sure it bothers all of us to have to lie to her—“ “Not me.†The woman from before said. “Me neither.†Another man with pink hair and blue eye said. Xemnas glared at the two of them for a moment. “Anyways, MOST of us are bothered by us having to lie to her.†He continued. “But it is for the best.†Vexen glared up at him. “For the best? Xemnas, we’re depriving her of what she has the right to know! The other day she came to me and asked if I knew about any other Keyblade Masters—“ “What did you say?†The man with the dreadlocks asked. “I said I knew no one else, Xaldin.†“Then that’s perfect.†Xemnas said. “But Xem-“ “Awww, come on, Vex!†The pink-haired man from before coaxed. “We won’t have to lie to her forever. Just until she’s dead.†An evil smirk crawled upon his face as he took on an expression of fake wonderment. “And when will that be, tomorrow? This afternoon?†Vexen grit his teeth, and narrowed his eyes. “Drop it, neophyte.†“It’s just so hard to keep track of, what, with the days coming closer and closer…†“That’s ENOUGH Marluxia!!†Vexen roared, glaring daggers at the pink-haired assassin. The man with the red hair scoffed. “I don’t see what makes Number IXV so special that you care so much about her, Vexen.†He remarked. The blue haired man from before looked over at him. “Axel, she’s Number XIII, not Number IXV.†He said. Axel crossed his arms and looked over on the ground. “Not in my eyes…†+++ Sometime after Xed’s departure with the man, the seven others remaining in her workshop went their separate ways: The King and Riku left to check on the situation in Hollow Bastion, Xoras and Kuxir left to somewhere unknown, and Sora, Donald, and Goofy left for Beast’s Castle once again, after having their Gummi ship fixed by Cid. +++ “Hmmm…it seems like the Heartless really haven’t touched this place.†Sora remarked, looking at the main part of the castle. He and his friends had to take out a few Heartless outside, and one or two inside, but that was really it. They hadn’t seen any Nobodies, either. “Where do you think the Beast and Belle are?†Goofy asked, scratching his head. Donald just shrugged. “We would’ve heard them by now.†Sora said. RRRAAAAWWWWWWWWWRRRRRR!!!!! Suddenly, a loud roar echoed through the halls of the deserted castle. It shook the floor, and nearly caused the trio to fall over. Once to roar stopped, the three looked over to the other door opposite of the room. “I think it came from over there…†Donald said, sort of quietly. Sora turned around to them. “Well, c’mon!†he said, beckoning to them to follow after him as he ran towards the door. Donald and Goofy followed, somewhat hesitantly, and the three ran out the door, and into the back courtyard. +++ “I told you to leave Xaldin!!!†“Yea, I know…but it’s more fun to watch you all angry and stuff.†The party ran out to see the Beast standing there, his teeth barred, and a silent snarl on his lips. “Hey, Beast, what’s going on?†Sora asked. The Beast turned his head to look over at Sora and his friends. “Nothing that concerns you.†He growled, turning back to the figure in front of him. “Hey guys, look! It’s one of those Organization guys!†Goofy said, pointing to the figure in front of Beast. Sora and Donald looked over at where Goofy was pointing. There was indeed a cloaked figure standing –more like hovering- there, but he wasn’t from the Organization. The man had a white cloak on, but his hood was down, giving the party a clear view of his face. His hair was bright blonde, and styled into many dreadlocks. He also had a pair of golden eyes that shined darkly in the night. He smirked at the trio. “Sorry kids, but this is a private fight.†He remarked snidely. “We’re not kids!†Donald shouted, pulling out his staff. Sora and Goofy followed suit. The man chuckled, totally amused. Sora narrowed his eyes. “What are you laughing at?†he demanded, gripping his Keyblade harder. The man shook his head. “It’s just that…I had something REALLY important to tell you…†he choked out, starting to laugh. “And now…I can’t remember what it was!†He then burst out in hysterical laughter. “Uhhh…?†Goofy said, confused. Donald crossed his arms. “Who is this nutcase?†he asked, watching the man nearly die with laughter. At his words, the man stopped himself from laughing, wiping the tears from his eyes. “Oh, I’m sorry, I forgot to introduce myself.†He said, standing up straight, an amused smile still on his face. “My name is Aldix…†In a bright flash of white, six black lances appeared in his hand, and a strong wind blew, lifting him higher into the air. The trio, along with Beast, all got into fighting stances. Maybe 5 Level Recommended: At least 20, maybe even 25 Character to Fight with: Sora Allies: Donald, Goofy, and Beast (only two out of the three) Necessary to complete: Yes Prize: N/A +++ For all those people who are complaining already about ‘this is gonna be just like fighting Xaldin’, let me just tell you that you ALL are WRONG!!! This is fight does have similar aspects to fighting Xaldin, except it’s about four times easier. This battle, as said before, is much like fighting Xaldin. The attacks are pretty much the same, yet not as strong. You still have to deal with his lances and his flying dragon, but his attacks deal far less damage. The best way to beat him with his basic attacks: Just watch a boss battle vid of when you fight Xaldin, or fight Xaldin yourself, just so you know the order of attacks he performs. In addition to his old attacks, he has one new trick up his sleeves: His most devastating, and most annoying, attack is when he summons up about 30 Heartless, all different types and strengths. Then, he changes himself into random Heartless, and hides among the others. Thing is: You can’t see him change, and you don’t know where he is. So basically, you have to run around, beating up and killing Heartless until you hit him. And you can’t lock onto him, because other Heartless get in your way. And the other Heartless aren’t just there to stand there. They’re going to try to attack and kill you. Finding him is a complete and total game of luck. You could find him with your first hit, or you could find him as the last Heartless you haven’t killed yet. When you finally hit him, he’ll return back to his old form, and then you can let him have it with your Keyblade. You can probably land a good amount of combos on him, which means you can do a nice deal of damage. Tip: When searching through the mob of Heartless for Aldix, don’t attack and kill each Heartless until you find him. Just hit each Heartless once, and make sure you have the ability ‘Scan’ on. If you hit a Heartless, and it doesn’t turn into Aldix, then move onto another one. But, before hitting another Heartless, check it’s health. If it has already been attacked, then it’s not Aldix, so don’t bother attacking it. Only hit Heartless who haven’t been attacked, and only hit those once. When his health gets low, to about half a bar, he’ll repeat the whole ‘hiding as a Heartless thing’, but with more Heartless (anywhere from 50-100!!!). Use any special attacks you have, and use the tip above to find him. And when you do find him, show him what the Keyblade can REALLY do! It’s a VERY easy fight, so no worries. The only annoying thing is his own special attack, but it honestly doesn’t take too long to find him. The rest of his attacks aren’t very strong, and somewhat easy to dodge. Good luck!
