Hey guys! Not much to say here. As a lot of you already know I was (somehow) accepted to Interlochen for their summer arts program as a high school creative writing major in poetry and fiction. I'll be leaving in a few short hours and won't be back for three weeks. Once I come back and don't have all that packing and preparation to do, I can assure I'll be back to being a regular poster around here. :3
I definitely will not have any internet access while I am away but I'll be calling either Plums or What? at least once a week so use them
as you please as your personal lines to me /shot. Jest, but I really will try to stay in touch with happenings through the phone lines.
Can't wait to come back and miss everyone already! <3

I love going to readings, although I do prefer poetry over prose in a reading. Every month I go to a reading at a local bookstore and sometimes I go to a few others, but it's really fun because it's all kids from the high schools in my town. (p.s. i'm actually the feature poet for august /screech)
It's a lot easier when the pieces being read are meant to be read, as well. It is much easier to understand and keep track of when there is a set rhythm and tempo, and spoken poetry is the only time I can appreciate rhyme. ;_; ''

Collabs could be kinda fun, but it would be hard and we would have to go over it if we really wanted to be serious about it, imo. u_u '' It could be a fun game anyway.

Heyo brossss. Just got home from the last reading for my arts program as my Creative Writing teacher is now retired. There were some really amazing poets out there! My best friend in the program and I had to read first haha. Do y'all like to attend readings of poetry or prose? :3

This is pretty good for a first try. Overall it's a bit messy though, and there is very little focus. Some of the effects aren't... effective, mind the pun haha. The text was arranged in a fun way but could be placed better. The colours don't work very well together either. It's really really good for a first time though and I'm sure that these will clear as you continue to practice with PS. :3

I definitely wouldn't mind reading some good DW fics. :D
Especially with some twists and such.

As far as NaNoWriMo, I tried it this past year and only got about 2,000 words in lol. I've always had some problems with writing longer pieces. It seems much easier for me to say a lot in very few words than to write out long descriptions that can get people lost like is seen in a lot of works. Writing for word count just seems kind of pointless and is really tough. I'll probably try again this year, anyway, or maybe even write off of the same idea I had since I defintely had more to write that I didn't get out in time.
