"Probably when the Sora System decided that Nobodies were a threat to society. You remember, right? Over 75% of all Nobodies were Knights..." Xardius shrugged. "You do remember right? All the paranoia... First, they decided to just keep them under housearrest. Then they isolated them. Then they started killing them. But the Sora System made a mistake. They felt that the Knights could kill the Nobodies. Kill former comrades and friends." He shook his head. "What would you have done? You let Lexx slide through his punishment, right? I don't think you're the kind of man to kill his friends, Skinnar...And neither were the Knights. The Nobodies escaped with the Knights' help." "So what happened? Well, the honor you're talking about was devoured by the Sora System, and their new division of Public Defense Knights whose main goal was to hunt down the Nobodies," Xardius finished. "They took the Knights and pushed them to the brink and beyond. You really think the remaning Knights would stand for a government that was making them point their guns at former allies?" "In a way, it's a good thing," Xardius shrugged again. "Without the Knights refusing to fight, the UPA would never have become the main army of the Sora System, and you wouldn't be in your position, now would you? Ironic isn't it, that the honor you're talking about is something you helped take...What a joke." Xardius turned and went to a window, staring out with unseeing eyes.
"Vecked, look at me. I'm seven feet tall, have spiky red hair, and carry a big sword. Can you honestly see me living normally?" Xardius shook his head. "I'll admit I've thought about it, and I even tried once, but I wasn't born to live a normal life." He leaned against a wall, and shrugged. "Maybe I'll try it again sometime, though. Xardius pulled out his cell phone. "I have it on my phone..." He looked at it closer. "Nulix is on the front page, huh...I can probably plug it into the ship's projector." After some fiddling, he did so, and the image popped up on a blank wall. Xardius flipped through the pages, reading as he went. "Looks like he made it big."
"Pessimistic know-it-all," Xardius muttered, fists clenching. "I wanna kill something..."
OOC: Lol, thanks Venture, Xardius appreciates it. BIC: Xardius shrugged. "I agree we should take that route; but even if the U.O. is there, we can take them out. It'll take some time before the U.O. notices a force is gone, because they're so spread out."
"I wouldn't say impossible," Xardius said, eying the pilot suspiciously. "They'll just know we're coming..."
