"Say WHAT?!" yelled a soldier near Trenyan. As much as the Crossbreed held his cool upon hearing the news, he was surprised too. The leader of the camp had announced the King's strategy... and furthermore, the scouts' reports. The enemy was attacking. Quel, the only city not ordered to run away, was soon to be attacked! "There's absolutely no doubt about it!" said Trenyan in a resolute voice. "There's treachery in the air!" "Huh? What do you mean?" asked a soldier who heard him despite of the chaotic voices of the other soldiers. "Of course!" yelled Lythorne, attracting more attention. "Think about it! The King comes up with the most idiotic plan this kingdom ever had! All cities run to Cheslidair... which is stupid to being with ; how does the King expect to protect the entire kingdom within the walls of that one city?! Now, Quel is attacked! The ONLY city left to defend itself is attacked! The enemy could never have figured out the King's strategy, and countered it so fast!" "That's true, you know? Lizards and Leechers : they're too dumb to realize they're about to die. We had proof of this last night, didn't we?" The soldiers around them were now attracting the attention of other nearby soldiers. Trenyan regretted having talked so loud. Lythorne continued, glad to have people listening to him. "There are traitors within Baflee's high hierarchy! The enemy knew all along what the King planned! Or rather no; not the King. The King, with his knowledge, could never have come up with such a stupid plan. We have been deceived!" Then, he added : "Lizards raid our villages! The "King" (Lythorne said that word with obvious sarcasm) literally allows them to take over the kingdom, except for one random place! Then suddenly and magically, the enemy attacks that exact same place! Not to mention Faeyland Woods! Those freaks burned it down! How can the King not retaliate against so many warnings?!" That kiddo's a good liar, thought Trenyan, allowing himself a moment of immaturity. Unfortunately, everything except the Faeyland Woods part was true. Everything. Lythorne was right. He shot a glance at Kurt, who looked as if he suddenly learned the meaning of life. Obviously he had realized this too. The soldiers around them were now spreading the news. But even so, what could they do? This improvised camp had perhaps a thousand soldiers. But those soldiers weren't small fry ; after all, they proved their worth the night before. Trenyan was in deep thought. He had unknowingly become used to the feeling of having his plans shattered.
Good points on the KH Ending Thread. I don't see why you said "don't take anything offensively", though. Was there anything that offensive? Or was...

BIC : It took a while, but Kurt eventually saw both Lythorne and Trenyan, and joined them. Lythorne could then explain the situation to the two lifetime friends. "I'm not a trained strategist" said Trenyan. "Could there be any hidden meaning in those moves the King orders? Surely he desires to trap and ambush the Lizards and Leechers. He wouldn't abandon his entire kingdom like that!" "I fail to see any strategy here. What's he thinking?! That King will get us all killed!" Suddenly, a loud sound was heard. It was hard to identify what exactly did it ; a trumpet or something similar. A human that seemed like the leader of the camp had called all soldiers to gather around the remains of the town hall, which now served as headquarters. As they walked towards the building, Kurt thought out loud. "Only one city hasn't been ordered to retreat, no? That's Quel, and it's just a bit south from here. We will need to fight to defend it, won't we?" "Of course. Believe me, this camp is the only resistance the Lizards will face. At least, from this direction." "I can't stay here. I've made some plans, you understand? And now that I found you two, I can tell them." Kurt made sure no one could hear their whispers, as the voices of the soldiers around them covered all sounds. OOC : I gave a name the secret town where live Kurt and Trenyan. It's "Lorya". "The authorities of Lorya want to contact the princess of Ilianam. I told you that, didn't I? They believe she knows a lot about her father's recent behavior. And she's in danger, no? I had been instructed to find Trenyan, then go there and find her." The three men debated the plans Kurt told, and started making their own agendas. Finding, instead of his master, an ocean of ash with occasional islands of burning trees, he started roaming in the fields, hoping to sniff his master's smell.
Interesting theory. Destiny Islands had been "destroyed", as in "it dissapeared from the sky". But the world's Heart must have gone to The End Of The World, as you pointed out. The final battle occurred on a Destiny Islands-reminiscent place, so all that's left to answer is : How Kairi got there? I'd like to add to your theory, to answer that question. When you think about it, there are only 3 people who actually espaced Destiny Islands : Sora, Riku, and Kairi. Therefore, everyone else, Tidus, Wakka, Selphie, and all the other people, were already somewhere in the remains of the world. Kairi rightfully belonged to Destiny Islands, simply because she was there when the world was taken over by the Darkness. Therefore she magically teleported on that patch of sand. Riku was on the other side of that door. He must have magically teleported as well, but he could not get farther than that door. As for Sora... I guess it's because he's the one to have restored the worlds by defeating Ansem. That also explains why Donald and Goofy stayed with him. What do you think?

Lythorne, while searching the improvised camp for Trenyan, learned some rather disturbing news. The entire Kingdom of Baflee was going downhill. Lizard raids had destroyed countless border villages... the camp Lythorne was in was, after all, a destroyed village. But even worse news arrived. Someone simply referred to as "The General" had been circulating through the Kingdom, informing the citizens of the King's plan. And what was this plan? Retreat. Retreat in Cheslidair. Except for Quel, which happened to be the nearest important city ; it is there that Trenyan and Lythorne met. "Lythorne!" said a familiar voice. Trenyan had seen his companion. "Are you alright? I've lost sight of you and Kurt in the battle!" "I'm alive, I'm fine. But you can be sure that this won't last. Trenyan, we've got trouble. I'm afraid Baflee is going to go away in flames." "Why so sure about it?" "I'll explain later, okay? First, let's find your other friend. Unlike us, he actually has a plan, and our discussion was interrupted last night." "I don't get what's so urgent. We've pushed the enemy to retreat., he said. Then, in a lowered voice : "We've set an entire forest on fire! Just by ourselves, we've killed more Lizards than we can imagine! How will they ever manage to defeat the entire kingdom?!" "I guess you didn't listen to the big news. Let's look for your friend. I'll explain while we search."
I noticed that the Data Battles change when the enemy's HP reaches 0. I know some people already noticed this for this or that Organization Member, but I actually tested them all, just now. So, just for fun, I'll report what I've discovered : So basically, you must let the Member live when it reaches 0HP. Hold off on your Finisher, and watch. Unfortunately, not all start acting funny. Here are the Members that do something special... Xemnas 1 - I don't think he does anything special, except of course if you've just done the Facedown Reaction Command on him. As everyone probably knows, using the 3rd RC brings Xemans down to 0 HP, and he'll just stay there until you kill him. (actually, if you hit, but don't kill him, he CAN counter. I got killed once because Sora missed his Finisher for no apparent reason). Xemnas 2 - After the 1000 lasers, he doesn't move at all. Once again, nothing too special here, because everyone noticed it. Zexion - He stops attacking (outside of the book world, of course). He just looks at you... peeks into his book, and glides away. Then, he repeats. If you go too far, he'll start walking towards you, but as soon as he's close enough, he'll restart gliding. I tried to see what's in his book, btw, and I could see a "T" and... something that looked mysteriously like a crossword puzzle. Saix - At 0HP, if not Berserk, he'll just try to go Berserk again, never using his other moves. When he does get Berserk, he's use his DM, but his Berserk Bar will automatically deplete after the move. Demyx - He does his RC move 3 times, and then summons Water Clones again... but only makes 1 Clone in 99 seconds (or was it 60?). Obviously an Easter Egg. This is awesome, as you can finish him with the RC, as well as go FPS and look at him play :) Luxord - I know for a fact that he did this also in his normal fight in KH2 : At 0HP, he uses that move where he throws a deck of cards at you... then stands there, saying "Don't squander your time", forever. If you hit him, he'll throw another deck of cards at you, and resume repeating his quote. At least he turns around to face you. He does this after you successfully pass his last game, and also if you bring his HP down to 0 without ever going through that game (the latter being more complicated without killing him). Marluxia - He forgets all his attacks, except the slash combo that leads to the 2 Reaction Commands. Awesome, as you can finish him with the RC. You can also use the alternate RC to raise your Doom Counter (however, after 2 or 3 RCs, it only raises it by 1. I wonder if it can go above your original level). Larxene - When her HP goes to 0, she apparently goes in a coma. She stands there, looks at you... looks at you... ignores Donald and Goofy beating her... suddenly Thunders you once or twice, and then goes to sleep again. Here are the Members of which I'm not sure of Xaldin - I think that he varies his moves a little, instead of teleporting all over the place yelling "SORA!". Most likely a coincidence. (also, it's very hard to bring his HP down to 0 without killing him, because of his Aeroga). Vexen - I'm not sure if it's normal, but he never does his DM at 0HP. Did anyone see him do his DM more than once? Roxas - I think he does his Duel, but it appears he does it when he enters his last bar of HP, not when he's at 0. I'm not sure about Roxas' case. Xigbar, Lexaeus, Axel as well as Sephiroth and Terra have no apparent special action. If you know something more, or noticed a mistake in what I wrote, don't be shy.
Xemnas. As the leader of the Organization, his motives must be strong. There's also many theories concerning him, which would make such an experience very interesting. Makes you wonder what Xemnas' plans were. It seems that we learn something new with every cutscene and every game. P.S. : Why not make this a Poll? You can only have 13 possible answers, or 15 if you count Xion and Naminé.
The rest of the night had been a very useful rest, for Trenyan. He could barely walk after the fight. May this be a lesson. Don't waste so much energy fighting Leechers. If they're still alive after ten seconds, go Ice Molding on them., he told himself. The humans that fought had been very effective in saving the wounded. Trenyan was helped walk back to the destroyed village, which now served as a temporary outpost. After half a night sleeping on the ground, with nothing but a small sheet fro softness, the crossbreed woke up. He immediately started searching for Lythorne and Kurt. Lythorne, when he came to his senses, first wanted to know if he was dead or not. Losing consciousness in a battle may very well result in death, but the human had been lucky. He received medical attention, or rather the closest thing to it. The only reason he woke up early was because of the uncomfortableness of sleeping on the ground.
I say Vexen comes first. His Anti-Sora is deadlier than death, and his own attacks are one hit killers, or close. His Desperation Move is... well, not only is it longer than Terra's, but it also killed me many, many more times than Terra's. Probably because Vexen looooves ignoring Once More. Zexion would come in second. When he captures you in a book, and you're already in the book world (and pages fly off everywhere), it's a sure death on Critical Mode, unless you're level 90 or so. But when you're a high level (aka 99), his fight is just an annoyance, and it becomes really easy. 3rd : Roxas. Sure you can loop him, but even then he manages to be cheap. Light Pillars, light pillars, light pillars! And what's with that alternate counter of his?!?!?! It's the deadliest attack in the whole game!!! Makes dodging Terra's DM, blindfolded and with earmuffs, sound easy. 4th : Larxene is hard too. Reflect obliterates her though, and her moves remain Guardable. It's hard to attack when she's cloned, because if you pick the wrong clone, the RC doesn't show up. 5th : Axel drains your HP, in Critical Mode, faster than you can say "wtf?!". Add to that a few trick moves he has, where he suddenly changes his attack. Thankfully, Limit Form, with its HP Absorbing, brings Axel down. 6th : Xigbar is much easier when you mastered his attack pattern. The bad part is, sometimes, the laser he shoots count as "back hits", and are therefore unGuardable! Reflect for defense, and Horizontal Slash + Combo Plus for offense negate his threat, though. 7th : Xemnas. His first form is easy, but often, his DM will hit from behind. Sora Guards, guards, guards, and suddenly, whoops, Xemnas hits him. The second battle has only two deadly things. The move where he throws you in the air, and the Can You Spare a Heart move. Watch out when he does them one after the other. 8th : Luxord can be a pain with his Desperation Move, and his mini-games. Fortunately you can just ignore his mini-games. You can even prevent him from doing his Desperation Move, but it's hard. 9th : Demyx. Only problem is that you're forced to use an item. I think I managed once to beat him without using an Ether on the last group of Clones. It required full concentration on that sole objective, when I chose my Equipment. 10th : Xaldin. Only problem is his last phase. He just teleports everywhere, yelling "Sora!" over and over. 11th : Saix. He can sometimes go through Once More with his DM, but other than that, he's extremely punishable. 12th : Marluxia. You must be a pretty low level for that Doom Counter to be a threat. All his moves are easy to avoid, but he becomes dangerous when he uses them in unison. 13th : Lexaeus. His "throw" moves are the only reasonable danger.
Why not have everyone playable? Riku is a must, and Roxas will make a very good Drive Form (if they keep the concept). Kairi should learn how to fight, too. Terra, Aqua, and Ven are all awesome, but I think they'll only appear in BBS. Namine fighting? That's a bit more difficult to imagine... not saying that it can't be done. Donald and Goofy don't really have a good reputation, but they are important to the series. And I've seen a hacked video of Goofy beating the living crap out of Marluxia in KH2FM. Makes you wonder if he has playalbe potential. And where's Mickey?
Then I don't know... all I can recommend is to try a little research on the internet. But I doubt you'll find it. Maybe you can edit the music file with a sound editing program, and make the beeping less harassing?
Is fighting over this really necessary? Come on people, let's all be friends! :) (ya, I know that sounds corny) The Growth Abilities are obtained by leveling up your Forms. Each Form gives one Growth Ability, when the Form level reaches level 3. That ability gets better as the Form keeps gaining levels. Here are the Forms : Valor Form - Growth Ability : High Jump - Level up by hitting enemies, while you're in Valor Form. Wisdom Form - Growth Ability : Quick Run - Level up by killing Heartless, while you're in Wisdom Form. Master Form - Growth Ability : Aerial Dodge - Level up by collecting the yellow drive balls, while you're in Master Form. Final Form - Growth Ability : Glide - Level up by killing Nobodies, while you're in Final Form.
I'm afraid the Kingdom Hearts series lack sound options, and big time. I want to turn off the music so that I can put some ambient music, but it can't be done. The only way to turn off the music is to actually use a cheating device. I guess it also works for sounds. Do you want the Atlantica songs as in "their music", or as in "the music + the singing, etc"?
"I want an explanation!" hissed Karchit at the Lizards that came back. How could they attack a band of hopeless humans... and lose! More than half of them were gone! Only one Leecher was there, and, unsurprisingly, it was Screech. "Those rotten humans were prepared", he said. "They were armed and organized. They had help. I even smelled a wolf with them!" "So what? You had an army with you. Where's Hachit?" "That wretched fool is gone. Last thing I know about him, was the smell of his flesh burning." "Damn it! I assume your Leechers haven't come back for a good reason?" "Yes. They decided to fight some more. They're probably all dead by now." "Damn! It's all brawn, no brains, with your kind!" Screech was of course enraged by this comment, but he controlled himself. Unlike other Leechers, his commanding position required him to think things through. This time, he will forgive the Lizard for this insult. This time. Karchit's mind wasn't much calmer, either. How could this have happened? How many times will he attack worthless humans, but have other warriors interfere with his plans? It was the middle of the night. He had no choice but to retire until next morning. OOC : I have fallen a bit behind in this story, so that's why I say it's still night in my post. Day time will arrive next time, for me as well.

Ok, I just figured that they would at least be tall and muscular, and have all that skin thing...
That's not what I meant by "collossal". I just meant that they are still big, and really powerful.
