Getting up quickly, Kurt faced the Leecher. He received a punch right in the face, which pushed him backwards. The shock was so fierce that Kurt had lost his orientation sense for a few seconds. "You ragged bag of putrid skin!" he yelled at the Leecher, still a bit confused from the punch. He ran towards the creature, dodged another punch, and stabbed it with both his mini-scythes. "Stupid fool!" said the Leecher, pushing Kurt back, amking him lose his weapons. "We Leechers are superior. We feel no pain. Can you say the same, wretch?" Kurt still had his main weapon, the big scythe, attached to his back, so he took it in his hands... but couldn't ever hit the Leecher. The retreat of the Lizards let only scattered Leechers on the battlefield, and the humans ganged up on the colossal creatures. The Leecher in front of Kurt had been overwhelmed by no less than ten humans stabbing it with their blades. Trenyan was shocked to see that the two newly arrived Leechers went after him as well! Why was it that all the Leechers converged on him? "Take this!", he said, unleashing an attack that he liked a lot. Trenyan contracted his muscles like a spring, and then pushed the ground with his left foot, making him go straight for the Leecher. At the same moment, he Molded a large ice shoe on his right foot. Ice is slippery, and because of his ice shoe, Trenyan could literally slide for about four meters, slashing the Leecher as he passed next to him. He then turned around, and repeated the same move, slashing all three Leechers whenever he passed near them. After a few hits, however, one Leecher was quick enough to hold his arm right in front of Trenyan, resulting in a big hit, and a loss of balance. But that was the last attack the Leecher did. The humans, having finished pursuing the Lizards, all concentrated on the Leechers, and had soon killed all those who were foolish enough not to retreat with the Lizards. It seemed that the humans won this fight, thought Trenyan. He had had too many adventures for a day, and that last hit had nearly knocked him out, but he managed to remain conscious, although he needed help to even get up. OOC : How did you like my improvised recreation of Sora's Sonic Blade?
Considering people already started considering morning came (in the RP), can I just end the battle in my next post? I just don't know what will...
That would explain a lot. I knew Mickey (who is only a voice) told him he found the Dark Realm's Keyblade, but I had no idea what was the other things he said. As for Kairi... my guess would be that the worlds had already started reforming, and Kairi was teleported to the patch of sand that was to re-become Destiny Islands. Probably because she is a Princess of Heart.
I don't really see the link between the Poll and the Thread, but : - Ultima Weapon (MP Hastega is too useful) - Rumbling Rose (Extra Finisher. 'nuff said) - Fatal Crest (Berserk Charge + Horizontal Slash = dead Organization XIII. But if your level is high enough, you can just equip Berserk Charge as an Ability). - Decisive Pumpkin (lots extra damage!) - Guardian Soul (looks awesome, it's long, and RC Boost can come handy) But my favorite will always be Star Seeker!
Roxas is a strange Nobody, as explained in the Secret Ansem Reports. Spoiler I think he does have a Heart, remember what Axel told him right after Roxas fought Sora? Roxas sometimes seems like a Nobody, and sometimes as a normal being. Interesting character indeed. Spoiler Also, in that same scene, after Roxas fights Sora, Axel is the one who drops a tear. It's not clear on Youtube videos, but it's crystal clear on your own TV. That's even stranger. Maybe Axel became complete upon dying ; this does make sense, because if your Heartless is defeated before your Nobody, technically your original self comes back.
I noticed that. It's truly awesome when you have Second Chance and Once More equipped. Chicken Little is the reason I beat Vexen's Data at level 49. He looked so random at first, but man, Chicken Little, nobody messes with him.
Hm. True. Haven't thought of that. What about Kairi? Did she not jump because that would be "meddling in the affairs of other worlds", or something?
Kurt was fighting fiercely. When he heard a thundering voice ordering the enemy to retreat, his first reaction was confusion. He was growing more and more convinced that he'll have to retreat from this battle. What's wrong with those humans? he thought. Where did the typical image of the weak-minded easy-to-kill human warrior go? Look at those! Aren't they beasts?! How much rage did the Lizard raids give them? The Lizards were retreating. But as they were trying to organize themselves through the chaos of their retreat, Kurt put his scythe on his back, and took out his two sickle-like small scythes. He wanted to hack down as many reptiles as he could. But in a battle of such ferocity, even the enemy retreating doesn't mean that a warrior's life is safe. Kurt realized this when he literally bumped into a Leecher. The creature wasn't retreating. Lythorne had received many branches on his head. A very heavy one knocked the Lizard out, but it didn't hurt Lythorne as much ; the reptile's head was higher ; because he was trying to keep Lythorne pinned. The human tried to keep his magical fire going, burning the Lizard, but Lythorne had dug too deep in his powers. Already tired from setting the forest ablaze with magic, he fell to his knees, and lost consciousness. Trenyan head the retreat order. He was sure it was the human general ordering his army to fall back, but the voice didn't sound human. When he heard humans shouting louder than ever, he knew that this battle had turned into their favor. But the three Leecher didn't retreat. They stood there, fighting. The human group around him was large enough to fend off one Leecher, but not three. Trenyan had decided how to use his Ice Molding to get the better out of the situation. OOC : The Check Spelling option is awesome.
Question : Did they give Sephiroth's battle "minimum stats" in Final Mix? I mean, no matter how low your stats are, they'll always reset to that minimum, if you're under it? Videos of Sephiroth in level 1 CM showed Sora dealing a ton of damage. At level 30 in the original KH2, it seems that damage was much lower, even though the level is greater. Since you fought him at level 1 in both games, did you notice anything like this? And I agree ; Sephiroth is easy when you learned his moves. He can still surprise you, but he's blockable, dodgeable, and punishable ; this is what makes his fight an excellent boss battle!
Perhaps, but in exchange for that, we've got the discussion that started this Thread. I think it wasn't worth it, but that's my opinion only. Riku could have explained what's going on, before saying his last words, maybe? Also, the KH universe has some pretty messed up laws of physics, so when you see Riku not crossing the door, you think "We don't know what the reason is, but we know there is one".
OOC : You know, I implied the branches fell randomly ; imagine the totality of the branches being shaved off at once. They would both have been hit, although Hachit is slightly more at danger, because he is the one pinning. BIC : Trenyan was trying to kill the Leecher, but he was having a lot of trouble. Is it really true that Leechers can't feel pain? He thought. If that's so, the only thing preventing the creature from going wild, was the wall of spears, swords, and other weapons brandished by humans. They were doing a far better job at opening wounds on the Leecher's skin, or at least get close of doing so. But with two other Leechers coming towards them, Trenyan knew that they were in trouble. He couldn't just expect more humans to show up, much less show up and not become Leecher snacks. He had to act! Kurt (whom he had no idea where he was) had once told him that as an Ice Molder, he had the advantage of being able to create solid objects, just like a Metal Molder or a Shaper. Kurt's words were as follow : "You can always create an object that will save you. The difficult part is figuring out what will serve you most, and creating it before you exhaust your Molder powers". But what could serve him most now?
Yea, I saw it eventually Say, did the entire KH-Vids website go down a few minutes ago? I couldn't do anything ; It kept saying "Data Error" or...
Lythorne felt his own fire. That Lizard was determined to make him suffer. For a few seconds, Lythorne endured the pain, thinking of what his magic was capable of. Attempting to create a wind gust would be the best idea, but he wasn't really good at controlling wind... and then he had an idea. Digging even deeper in his lowering magical powers, he created more fire, but not on the Lizard. He instead created localized micro-fires on the large branches of the tree he was pinned on. Quickly, the magical fire had literally cut the branches, and they came falling off on both Lythorne and the Lizard. OOC : Kinda boggling here. Is this power considered as "making sense"? Using fire to incinerate the base of a tree branch?
Lythorne was surprised by the ferocity of the surpirse attack. It took his a few seconds to realize he was pinned into a nearby tree, one that was away from those burning fiercely. His first instinct was to try to slash the Lizard, but his hands weren't in the perfect position. His magic, however, was still useful. "Burn!", he said, suddenly using his magic to cast a flame on the Lizard pinning him. Still fighting, Trenyan came face to face with a Leecher. The creature seemed to take a sudden interest in him when it detected the Crossbreed's smell. Trenyan ducked to avoid the Leecher's swing, as humans near him gathered, apparently trying to focus on the Leecher. But what caught Trenyan's attention, is that two other Leechers came towards him. He hadn't seen any since the battle started, and now, suddenly, he found three? Furthermore, the Leecher in front of him seemed to be interested only in him. Trenyan decided to keep his position, dodging or blocking the Leecher's attacks, and attacking second, as the humans around him were yelling warnings about Leecher presence.
If you say we can't defeat them, we will not. But there are more ways of fighting than simply using a sword or throwing magical balls... You...
OOC : I'll make my characters fight for a while, because they don't know how many enemies they are, yet. Trenyan felt in good shape. Probably his body acting, already used to the rigors of combat, and making him forget his small lack of energy for a while. Do I see a trend here?, he thought. I go to random villages, meet someone, fight Lizards by a huge fire, go to some other random place, and fight more Lizards. He hoped that the enemy was indeed only a fragment of the army. Probably less than a hundred Lizards with a few Leechers. Or thousands of both. Trenyan planned to escape the battle should the enemy be overwhelming. It was the first time in decades, since the war that had his first home destroyed, that he fought an army really meant for war. With his scythe firmly in hand, and his two mini-scythes attached to his back, Kurt ran towards the North, with Trenyan and Lythorne next to him. Around them were countless humans. Most of the humans were well armed ; some even had armor. It looks like Baflee's border villages prepared themselves because of the Lizard raids. The battle was in sight. The humans already fighting saw the reinforcements coming, and actually made place for them. Next thing he knew, Kurt had run past the human front line, and was hacking wildly at the army of Lizards. The reptiles wouldn't just let themselves die without a fight, however, so an intense war was taking place. Trenyan had lost sight of Lythorne and Kurt. This intrigued him, as he had perfect eye contact the previous second. But now, he was concentrating on what lay in front of him : the enemy ranks. The Lizards were surprised, because the humans fighting them had suddenly stepped back, letting the reinforcements come in. Thinking it had their prey on the run, the reptilian enemy charged. Trenyan's first move was to turn his Wing Sword into a giant ice blade. He swung it as he reached the Lizards, pushing several of the reptiles aside. He then proceeded to slash horizontally until his sword breaks. Lythorne used his magic to create electrical currents on both his swords. He wanted to annihilate the first Lizards in his way, and cut his way through their ranks. This didn't work out too well. His initial strikes were very effective, and he killed several enemies quickly. But he could not get deep into their ranks. The enemy wasn't disorganized. Someone was leading them. The Lizards around him, noticing that he couldn't go further, tried to surround him. However, Lythorne managed to block their combined attack. Lizards had no weapon other than their natural body ; when facing Lythorne's dual swords, still electrically charged, the Lizards' attack turned against themselves themselves. Unfortunately, this happened quickly, and he was forced to use a lot of magic to create the electricity, so he had to withdraw that power for now.
... What? ...
Bored? It's summer! Find something to do! Like me, I've been working on a super-secret, and horrendously nerdy KH project... If nothing else...
OOC : We interrupt this RP for a special announcement : Pezz is the greatest! :noworries: *fireworks* And now, back to the RP, BIC : Kurt was impressed by Lythorne's intuition. He had guessed that he hid a few details. "I guess there's no harm in having Lythorne knowing something. If he wanted to betray me, he could've done it while we set the forest on fir-... oh, by the way, Kurt, it was us who set Faeyland Woods on fire." Kurt didn't hide his shock. "You did what?! Why would you do that?!" "I was on my way to Ilianam, when I saw Lizards. And then..." Trenyan quickly explained what happened, how he realized Lizards were hiding in the forest, estimated their numbers, sent his findings to a charismatic Shaper and the mayor of the city of Quel... met Lythorne and set the forest ablaze. "In your situation, I'm not sure what I would've done... but now, the fire is raging, so we'll criticize your idea later, okay? Right now, you know what's our priority?" Lythorne once again figured out that the two men were very close friends. How could Kurt simply skim over the fact that Trenyan set the forest on fire? "So, you know what our village plans? The leaders decided to interfere in Ilianam's affairs, you get it? They want to secretly contact the princess, and see if she needs help..." "What?! That doesn't sound like such a good idea to our village's secrecy-..." But Trenyan couldn't finish the sentence. Someone was approaching. It was a human, and he was shouting with all his strength : "They're here! Lizards! And there's Leechers with them!" A woman arrived just next to him, and she yelled : "All those who have any honor, take your weapons and come fight! We'll let them know that we won't be stepped on!" Trenyan wasn't as enthusiastic as the man and the woman. Judging by their faces, neither were his friends. He wasn't feeling tired anymore, but that's no reason to go face Lizards... and Leechers! "If they attacked now, it's because of us... we have no choice but to go and fight. Maybe it's just a small party that got separated from the main army." "We set the forest on fire. That caused a lot of harm to many. If we want this to be worth it, we have to repel those invaders!" Kurt followed, too. Looks like things weren't going go to as planned... OOC : Hey Pezz, how many Lizards and Leechers are attacking? Hachit took "as many as he wanted", but that's about how many?
So where did the Lizards and Leechers come from?
