OOC : Hachit is at the forest fire, right? Do you mind if we don't call the people "villagers", but, I dunno, "humans" instead? That'll avoid confusion with the "villagers" that left Triwn. BIC : Nilaero looked straight into the King's eyes. "A messenger wouldn't have had the same impact, sire. I needed you to see just how serious this is. A hooded man irrupted into my office a few hours ago, and gave me these documents", he said, handing them to the King. "He claims to have spied on the Lizards, and those papers hold his findings. He also mentions he plans to set Faeyland Woods on fire, as to disrupt the Lizards!" ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Lythorne shared his own thoughts as Trenyan and his friend Kurt talked. Making sure no one can hear them, they hid behind the remains of what was once a house. Lythorne wondered who exactly was Trenyan, if he had friends in Ilianam, who knew what was going on. But unfortunately, Kurt didn't know much. He mentioned that mysterious events have been happening all over the continent, and that his village, whatever it may be, is sure that major events are about to happen. "Good", said Trenyan. "Now tell me the punch. If that was all there is to it, you wouldn't have called me to Ilianam, much less come here on your own." "You are curious, aren't you? Who wouldn't be? You might have not heard, but there is trouble in Ilianam's royal line. Will you believe me if I said that the King had his eldest son beheaded?" "Should I?", said Trenyan, used to his friend's obsession of turning every affirmation into a question. "Not only that, but the King also sent his other son into exile. Did you know that?" "Didn't know, didn't care, now I know, yet I still don't care." Kurt laughed. "Never getting tired of those catchphrases, old friend?" "Okay, so the King hated his sons. But what about his daughter?" Trenyan looked at his new-found friend with a curious eye. "Sounds like I'm the only one not up-to-date with the latest political problems." "Exactly! What about her? She is the next one to be executed or exiled, right? She must know something." Lythorne's mind was sharp. He had guessed something was odd in Kurt's words. "I am not a spy", he said. "You can talk in front of me. Hours ago, I was begging on the streets. I'm not someone important."
Level 48 or so on Proud mode. Sweet Memories, no items, no armor/accessories, level 1 and 2 Growth abilities with no Glide, Reflega only on the Dark Orbs, no Support Abilities, no damage. I would've tried lower, but I like beating random Heartless, so I level up a lot. That's why I restricted myself so much. That's my record, but for "for fun" battles, I would equip Second Chance and/or Once More, and use Star Seeker of course :)!
If we get over the fact that love is almost never explicit in video games, and assume that Xion loves someone, then it will be Roxas or Riku. Technically it's Roxas, but there are complications, since they are Nobodies (or whatever Xion is), and Roxas has Namine, whereas Riku is human and single, and they seem to get along. But even so, we still must assume too many things. Square is messing with our minds. Although I voted Riku (with arguments of questionable solidity), my guess is that there is no answer. Why would they give an explicit answer, and destroy 80% of all theories, while they can do nothing, and make the series last longer? Spoiler Too true, too true. Xion is Sora's worst nightmare... the exam that awaits him when he comes back to Destiny Islands!!!
Thanks for agreeing, but I doubt your idea to be right. Riku showed up before Mickey did, and he probably had no knowledge of Mickey being there. And even so, can't he just ask the question AFTER they close the door, with everyone on the same side? Why couldn't Square just make Riku say something like "The power of Darkness forbids me from crossing this door. I won't be around. Take care of her."?
Nilaero, the Mayor of Quel, waited patiently in the guest room. When the King arrived, he got up from his chair, and despite the urgency of the situation, was curteous enough to let the King talk first. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- The Lizards had been slaughtered without mercy. The humans were all throwing insults at "those reptiles who set the forest ablaze.". Kurt too thought that the Lizards started the fire, but he heard rumors that entire legions of Lizards were running out of the forest... "Trenyan! Good to see you again! Did you receive my message?" "Yes, Kurt. I wanted to return to Ilianam for a while now, but I've been very busy. I heard that the Lizards blocked all roads to Baflee ; is it true? How did you get here?" Lythorne guessed the two men knew each other very well, otherwise they wouldn't start talking so quickly. He wasn't sure what to do. "I remained hidden. Lizards aren't blocking the roads directly, but you can't travel without risking your life, you know? I moved through less obvious locations, and came here unharmed. Now, who is this man you fought with?" "Oh. This is Lythorne. We've met some time... actually, a few hours ago." After the introductions, Trenyan suggested to move away from the noisy crowd. They walked south, and found a village that had been destroyed by Lizards. However, the hordes of humans going to the forest had made the village a temporary resting place. "I've missed some action, did I? What's going on?" "I hoped you would answer that question for us. Tell me, what do you know, and why did you make me come back to Ilianam?" "Can I talk in his presence?", said Kurt while looking at Lythorne. "No offense." "Yes, I trust him.", said Trenyan. He was surprised by the veracity of his words. After all, he DID met Lythorne a few hours ago, and they even started off the wrong foot, with the unlucky human asking for change. "Lythorne will be traveling with me for some time ; I still owe him for helping me. So, Kurt, tell us what you know." OOC : Three characters in the same place make you feel a bit unoriginal.
Ok, a lot of stuff happening behind the scenes. Kairi is awesome. She's a Princess of Light that stands out as being more special. She can wield a Keyblade! So what if she gets captured? All the Princesses of Light do. I don't see anyone hating Jasmine because she must be rescued. As for her being anything close to a "whore", no arguments seem to make sense. Her clothes? What's so wrong with them? And remember she's a video game character ; she doesn't pick her own clothes :) There is a problem, however, and it's how she seems to have been "thrown" into the second game. Even knowing that she was in danger, it didn't make me more interested in finishing the game. They could've added a bit more importance to her. And when they REALLY messed up, it's when she reunites with Sora. He doesn't seem to even care about her. But he cries when finding Riku. And thus were born countless slash fictions. Way to go Squeenix. So, to sum things up, Square wasted a lot of potential with Kairi, but the character itself is very cool. Think of who she is, and you realize she's much more original than at first glance.
My thoughts exactly. But it turns out there is a reason. Only true Darkness can go through the door of Kingdom Hearts. And Riku wasn't pure Darkness anymore, so he could not move. Then again, I don't know where this was stated, and worst of all, it wasn't stated in the cutscene, so it looks stupid, yes. And then Kairi... Kairi can't use the secret, ancient power known as "jumping".
Remaking the first or second KH games would serve no purpose. They will downgrade the graphics, etc. The only advantage will be their portability, but that can't be worth it.
Fat Bandits were fun for me... Gravity, Blizzard, Guard, or simply getting behind them worked fine. They made the game less repetitive. Same for Defenders. Wizards, Invisibles, and Angels(?) were a pain, because they would often get invincible. Against Wizards, I always made sure to have a Keyblade that recovers quickly, and I would mash furiously the attack button while they do Thunder Spam. The pink Powerwild dudes were annoying. And the worst of all, the Air Ships. So annoying! Gravity helps, unless they decide to hyperspace all over the place or whatever. They ruined the Hercules Cup Time Attack so many times! KH2 had the Dancers, but at least you could see when they were about to throw you. And, of course, Sorcerors. Pain and counterpain.
As Toshi said, Riku had more secrets than Sora. Not surprising, considering he had Xehanort's Heartless take him over, and was around for an entire year during which Sora wasn't. Not to mention that Riku, apparently, was the true intended Keyblade Master (question : Where was this stated anyway?). If the Keyblade chose Sora when Riku chose Darkness, and Riku still managed to get a Keyblade later... this is evidence that we still have a lot to learn about him. So yeah, a game centered on Riku would be awesome.
OOC : Nooooooo! Now I have to kill MORE Lizards? Thanks a lot, Double Z... I guess I had it coming though ; those reptiles want comeback! :guns4::guns::guns3::guns2: BIC : Just hearing his old friend's voice gave Trenyan strength. His fatigue seemed suddenly distant. The Lizards had turned around to see where the voice came from, and Trenyan jumped on the opportunity. The Lizards that had to turn around, he slashed them with his Wing Sword. Lythorne was quick enough to plan the same action as Trenyan, but was slower in actually doing it. But after Trenyan pounced, so did he, on the opposite direction. Kurt saw Trenyan and the mysterious human with him. When they attacked, so did he, hacking with his Scythe. The group of Lizards, outnumbered and outclassed, met its demise quickly, as the other humans closed in on them. -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Flame Burst had left, and was running towards the West. He knew he won't be there as soon as his master expected. Not only that, but he couldn't give the scrolls to the Shaper... but he did give them to someone who seemed responsible and in charge. -------------------------------------------------------------------------- The mayor had arrived in front of Cheslidair's castle. For someone as important as him, finding transportation wasn't a problem at all. It has barely been two hours since the hooded Ice Molder irrupted into his office, giving him strange scrolls. While he was transported to Cheslidair via chariot, he read the plans. That man is unsure of a lot of things, he thought. But his predictions do sound like what Lizards will do. King Lefian will know what to do better than me. The mayor had little trouble getting through the security guards, and his visit didn't pass unnoticed. No wonder that man could enter my office. Our castles and town hall could use more protection. King Lefian must know this. Soon, his escorts let him in a guest room, while several men went to alert the King of his presence. OOC : Five characters in one post, and it's one of my shortest ones ever.
OOC : I finished school. Not gonna fill my post with details explaining the education system, but I finish a month or so earlier than high school students. And since NO one has called me back from the trillion jobs I've applied for, I'm stuck home, working on some ginormous school project for next year, and flooded by Notification e-mails from KH-Vids. Lythorne ran towards the burning forest, but he had ran too much already. He had to walk, but the Lizards were soon in sight. The few humans that actually brought weapons were fighting them. Since the Lizard group wasn't too big, and didn't plan or running into humans, they had trouble keeping up. Trenyan didn't feel like fighting. He was tired, but had no choice but to join the melee, slashing at Lizards. His low energy got him in trouble, however. A Lizard attakced him from behind, and Trenyan didn't see it coming. He got hit in the back. The pain ran across his body, but it activated his mind, making him realize he cannot afford underestimating any situation. The Lizards was pinning him, but the Crossbreed Molded an ice sword in his left hand. He made it take an odd shape : a blade curved specifically for the situation, long enough for Trenyan to stab the Lizard with it. Even if his left hand was extended on the ground, apparently useless, he managed to use it. Lythorne had seen Trenyan on the ground. Even though he stabbed the Lizard, Lythorne thought he could help, and slashed the reptile. But then he realized why they were having so much trouble fighting : they moved too far into the enemy ranks, underestimating their numbers. Sure, the Lizards were still outnumbered, and doomed to lose, but Lythorne and Trenyan were in a dangerous place. Treyan got up, slowly, as his back ached. The Lizards made a circle around them. "Go ahead, surround us", he said to them. "Like that's gonna help. Time too die." And, to his surprise, a familiar voice answered : "Can I make it happen, old friend?" Kurt's entrance wasn't exactly original, but he liked being able to make an entrance to begin with. He had found his old friend, and so quickly! But now he had to beat the Lizards. Not that such battle be a problem. In a minute or two, all the Lizards will be dead. He'll make sure of it.
Riku is simply more athletic. Compare his basic combo with Sora's combo. Think of KH2. Compare Riku's aerial combo with Sora's aerial combo. That dude must take some serious steroids :wow:
Repliku was manipulated during his entire life, literally. And he ends as something that we can't even qualify as "dead", because we're not sure what exaclty Riku was. Sure we feel sorry for him. Also... Spoiler Anyone noticed Repliku shared the exact same end as Xion? Killed by the one he intended to kill to become complete?
Ok, sorry :( Then again, I'm not sure I'll make another character, but I'll keep this in mind.
Sora in Final Form doesn't run either. He just hovers. And that happens to be (technically) the strongest Form in the game. So hovering is a symbol of great power. Or of lack of emotions, but I prefer the power idea. As someone pointed out, Vexen hovers too, because he is a superior member of the Organization. Even better : Xigbar and Xaldin. Finally, most Members simply never run, except in 358/2 Days (because they had no choice ; the game system was based on them being playable). Think of all the Organization battles in KH2 and KH2FM. - Lexaeus runs for one attack. - Saix does run when Berserk. - Larxene runs. - The others walk, at worst. 3 out of 13. For an aciton as simpel as running, you'd expect much more. Interestingly enough, both Sephiroth and Terra run a lot, so I guess it's a trend only in the Organization.
About that, we have to PM you the characters? I saw that instruction after making Trenyan and Lythorne, so I was like "wait, I had to PM them to...
OOC : Hey Pezz, you changed THE ENTIRE forest into ash? Isn't that a bit extreme? There were, after all, only two people setting it on fire, and only one could use supernatural powers. If the entire forest is burning as we speak-, er, Post, then maybe we should call it : "Faeyland Ash, the Lizard Graveyard. Here be the ashes of tens of thousands of Lizards, killed by two pretentious dudes." Also, out of curiosity : scarred_heart634, did Becka ever use her Water Molding abilities?
Username - StarSeeker99 Name - Kurt Klaiv (or simply "Kurt") Race - Half human, half Cylian Powers - Limited telekinesis, limited Fire Molding (see Background) Age - 395 years Gender - Male Side - Neutral Weapon - Has training in pretty much every weapon, but excels only with two styles. Usually, he uses a scythe. But he also carries a pair of small scythes, sicles of some sorts. Those are basically a scythe with a short handle, meant for dual wielding. The tips of the poles can be connected, making a C-shaped weapon, or an S-shaped weapon. Background - Lived in the village that was destroyed by Cylians, many years ago, just like Trenyan. He befriended Trenyan, and they are great friends, and enjoy working together to make up new attacks. As a human, he discovered his power of telekinesis, but as a Cylian, he discovered his Fire Molding powers. Determined to keep both, he ended up with weaker powers than a pure Fire Molder, or a telekinetic human. But he uses the powers to create flames shaped like weapons, and moves then around. This requires less energy than shooting plain fire or lift random objects, especially since Kurt trained this skill for decades. When teaming up with Trenyan, they pack quite a punch, as the Ice Molder will also use his own powers. Furthermore, as appropriate for close friends in lands of turmoil, they practised amny teamwork attacks and tactics, and experimented them too. Kurt wishes to accomplish many things in his life, and is tremendously happy about his Cylian longevity. He trained with all the weapons he could discover, as part of his lifelong ambition. He has the sometimes nasty habit of always talking with questions. Trenyan's used to it, but strangers aren't. He has to put a lot of effort whenever he wants to go undercover. Appearance - Wears a black coat, because, like Trenyan, he likes keepign his identity secret. His scythe is always visible either in his hands, or attached on his back. His hair is black, but from a certain lenght, the color goes wild, with each hair taking a random color from seemingly the entire light spectrum. Kurt keeps his hair long enough so that 0.5cm or so is color-crazy. He is moderately muscular, pretty tall, and overall moderately large. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Trenyan ran, and Lythorne was just ahead of him. On his left, the trees burned fiercely. When they lost the Lizards, the two men started moving southwards, towards te cities of Baflee, but quickly encountered humans running towards the fire. But what could they do? The fire was unstoppable. Perhaps only an army of Water Molders cousl stop it now. Now that they were surrounded by humans running to see what was going on, Lythorne knew that they had sucessfully escaped. No one would find them in such a crowd. But that's when they heard loud screams. Both thought it came from people terrified to see the woods burn, but when a human came running, yelling "Lizards!", they knew that they wouldn't escape that easily. "Ah, COME ON! Enough already! Well, I guess we're about to get soaked in Lizards blood, Lythorne." Kurt knew that something was fishy. When Flame Burts left to deliver the message to Trenyan, that smae message that requested him to come to Ilianam, Kurt had nothign to do. But within the hour Flame Burt left, more news came. More serious action was needed. Thus, Kurt decided to take matters in his own hands. He went to Baflee, reaching it in almost record time, and was to begin searching for his best friend. When he heard that the Faeyland Forest was on fire, minutes ago, he knew he had to go there.
