As for the FFs...I can summarize MOST of them with a simple formula.

NEEDLESSLY ANGSTY GUY WITH SWORD + BAND OF MINOR-MAIN CHARACTERS + SOME LAME LOVE INTEREST + SOME VILLIAN WHO IS TOO DAMN PASSIVE TO BE A REAL VILLIAN + SOME CHOCOBOS = FF /RANT

But....we only have one spinoff to go by. o_O And the next spinoff has Ven (who looks like Roxas) and might explain WHY Sora's nobody reaaaaaaaally doesn't look anything like him. (Same for Terran and his possible connection with Xehanort/Xemnas)

Unless SE and Disney can see a massive profit for this, don't count on it.

And with the general idea of a "KH MMORPG"... that makes no sense! Now they could get....creative and say "YOU ARE A REFUGEE FROM (WHATEVER WORLD OF YOUR CHOICE) BECOME A WARRIOR AND FIGHT THE HEARTLESS" then it would have some semi-redeemable merit.

Examples (I dunno):
Character from a Disney World - A mage who would have to study under an NPC called Yen Sid.
Character from a FF World - A student SeeD or SOLDIER

Then of course the cameos of the KH originals or something....I dunno I'm not a game developer.... :\

Why not? Techincally Chain of Memories is a spinoff, yet it was enjoyable. (At least in my opinion.)

Well.....the remake of CoM was worth it in my opinion....

But the Final Mixes...true we could do without them...but the last final mix had so many "necessary" extras (cough cough additional org cutscenes that ARE story related) that I wonder why they didn't just include them in the FIRST package.

They swapped "Producers" for the stories at around the half-way point, and swapped yet again for FF XII.....bank's the limit on this one.....

Oops, I forgot to mention it was the sort of OCs that completely destroy the canon setting of KH. (IE: Making Riku AVOID being turned over to the Darkness in say the KH1 setting.....)

The only excpetions to the "Original Character" rule is a fan-take on say.....the Organization XI (Xemnas and Roxas omitted c_c) "Somebodies". They techinically count as OCs as we have NEVER seen their canon versions....those I don't mind.

Please refer to the "Birth By Sleep" video, even if the game is claimed to be a spinoff, they have PLENTY to work with there.

As for the Disney Worlds....well of course they could be more creative!

And the point of comparing it to FF is not that they will be SIMILIAR in story execution, but FRANCHISE execution (aka long). Not to mention in every SINGLE FF there are certain aspects that are forever with us...they simply have made the recurring mascots the main focus this time. :\

Also, PSHAW. Any company worth its name can replicate success if not in greater numbers. (*COUGH* EVEN IF IT HAS TO FUSE WITH ANOTHER COMPANY *COUGHCOUGH*) :\

Depends on the topic that the media puts out.

Celebs and stuff can be skimmed over, because I REALLY don't care for who's dating who and whatever the hell they're WEARING. (I DON'T EVEN UNDERSTAND HOW IT CONSTITUTES AS NEWS!)

Now for things like the Stock Market and such....well they can't really lie about economic numbers given that IF they did so on purpose (the media) it would have such a heavy backlash, it would do much more worse than good (I'm thinking Enron on this......)

In terms of local news and "WHO'S THE NEXT POLITICIAN", if they lie about it, they just lose more credit. (Politics in GENERAL, I try to avoid because really, all it does is aggravate me.)

Now as for World News, it's best to AT LEAST three source it, but that isn't enough. :\

As for Media and the information it spouts off in general.....well, I guess it's what Critical Thinking was invented for. :\

The MEDIA does not have a fear of God, the media has a fear of the people. God does not make these people "do these things", people find it in their rationale of what they ASSUME is God's will. But yes, there is a partial obligation that they try to be politically correct, PEOPLE have more power by the mobs and protests then we even give ourselves credit for.

Ok, see this is why "Christians get painted with the same brush" a majority of the ones that "SPEAK UP" TYPICALLY have the same ideas. And the quote that you responded to you did not even say "ALL CHRISTIANS" so please, do not paint all disagreements against your belief as attacks. Also, are you speaking for all Christians? Just a techinical detail question I know, but do you speak for them all?
Now on a more personal note, humans have free will to make themselves good. They do not need Jesus or any other religious figure to do so....DID YOU KNOW THAT PEOPLE COULD EVEN LOOK TO OTHER, EVEN LIVING, PEOPLE TO IMPROVE THEMSELVES? Just thought I would throw that out there.

I find it terribly ironic that you cannot find the truth in your own statement about "God (or more accurately, religion) being used as a coverup". If you demand an army, why not use a "common lie", it appears to be working quite WELL. Once again you're using that "Christians do this and do that", YOU just finished saying "You can't lump all Christians together" yet you're doing it. But anyway, the point here is that your "statement" is not entirely true. And if what you say WAS true (about the preservation of enviornments and such), well, WHY ON EARTH do you "Christians" BUILD such GRANDIOSE CHURCHES?! Churches aren't exactly divined into existence you know, so please clarify on this "preserving nature" that you speak of. (As well as all these "graven images" Repliku pointed out at some point- whatever happened to the self being the holiest of temples?)
And it was my understanding that you didn't need to be religious to want to preserve nature.
Also, that Government economy "ripping up" you were talking about....talk to the LEGISLATURE and the folks of the country! Also, economy is not talked about at all in the Bible, so "WTF" on that point that "Christians care about the economy". Now if I wanted to blame "Christianity" for anything, I would blame ignorant fundamentalist extremists against their hatred for people of "non-agreeable" sexuality as well as their (selective) "protests" against certain areas of science! But then again, I BLAME THE PERSON. (Think Medicine and Evolution, both are sciences acquired by the same method YET they only aggressively argue against one!)

I will respect (I use this term LOOSELY) your beliefs, but in RETURN, you must allow a certain freedom for us to CONTINUE choosing our own beliefs and you must cease your public displays of your religion (AS THAT WOULD CERTAINLY BE A BIAS ON OUR CHILDREN/FUTURE GENERATIONS)!

BACK ON TOPIC:
The reason why this is even here is to say that religious FREEDOM is ours to choose. Now in the land that is supposed to be known for its FREEDOM, why should it favor (which it techincally shouldn't) any religion over another? In other words, why should the 10C be present in any PUBLIC school?

Clearly it would be religious bias.

FORGIVE MY OPINION BUT-
FF "adult"? Oh please, its Teen at best (except for FFXII, which is probably the most adult one they had and that's only from the sheer web of politics and WORLD it strung together that had to be comprehended).

Because really, until I start seeing elaborated brutality or villians with REAL/MORE DEVIOUS or at least a more insidious way of achieving their goals, FF is TEEN. :\

As for being on TOPIC:
KH could be very much like a MINI FF series. And they COULD push KH to T and still maintain all of their appeal, because really, what drags in the children is both/either the Disney and/or the SE. And in terms of the "Less SE people" well that somewhat defeats the CAMEO half of their (SE's) part of the collaboration, so that would be meaningless.

A lot, they just need to be CREATIVE. They could easily spend an entire game just talking about the villians (original villians, not the cameos)- such as the Heartless and whatnot. So in a way it is rhetorical to ask that question. (I do not mean this in a belittling way believe it or not.)

Also the franchise is called "Kingdom Hearts" not "Sora's Journey/Quest/synonym-of-that-word to Kingdom Hearts". ....So, yes, give a company or story-teller enough motivation and a story can just keep on going.....

Besides I'm sure Normura can put out more ideas to connect to KH, he is the creator of it after all, and if he can't he has a HUGE staff to help him achieve it. :\

I am not one of these people, but I will try to rationalize it for you as best I can.

People make a big deal about it because they MAY believe it is "for the greater good", however this does not necessarily mean that they read the disclaimer print.

And forgive me for stating this if it falls under the catagory of name-calling, but people who REFUSE to acknowledge that it is a work of fiction are acting rather ignorant- especially if proof of this disclaimer is repetitively brought to their attention.

But yes, some people have literally gone on crusades in a way over something like this. It's sometimes amazing how much power a work of fiction could have over people...

Actually, this is probably a stupid question (famous last words!), but how do we KNOW if a mod even received our application? (Given how full their PM boxes are already.)

It's very simple, the origins of her name were deemed unimportant to be elaborated on....or it will be revealed later. For all we know it was simply a name she was given so she wouldn't be called 'girl' by the in-game characters and the game developers.

But if you really want to look into it you could try to scramble it to produce different words that may have created it. (You can even look at Ansem's name and get the word "NAMES" out of it.)

As said earlier, only Nomura knows and he obviously hasn't felt obligated to tell us (nor have any interviewers really asked about Namine's name). :\

Side-Note: In my personal opinion, they probably used ENGLISH as the starting roots for her name and combined the words "Name Mine" (as opposed to what is grammatically correct, "My Name" or "Her Name"). Basically take Name + Mine and link them up at the FIRST letter they have in common (which is M) and keep on spelling

So, Nam(e)(M)ine = NAMINE.

Freaking elaborate, but hey it sorta fits....if you squint at it. :\
