On one hand, she rejected me. On the other hand, she told me straight up that she is not interested in romantic relationships with anyone right now. Not only does that mean that I still have a chance with her, it also means that her reason for rejecting me has nothing to do with me.

Ladies, take notes. This is the best way to reject any guy. You have to be direct about it. As soon as you notice that he might be interested in you, let him know that you are not interested in him. Do not beat around the bush until you've friendzoned him and he's fallen madly in love with you. GETTING A GODDAMN BAND-AID RIPPED OFF YOUR SKIN IS A HELL OF A LOT LESS PAINFUL THAN HAVING YOUR HEART CRUSHED INTO A MILLION TINY PIECES. SEE FIGURE A.

^Figure A. ARE YOU SEEING THIS? THIS IS HOW YOU REJECT A GUY.

    Ahem.

tl;dr: I'm kinda disappointed, but still very happy.

As many of you know, I met a really great girl at a con last weekend. I really like her and would like to pursue a relationship with her, but I don't know how to go about it.

I met her at a couple of panels before seeing her at a ball that the con was hosting. I intended to start a conversation and try to ask her to dance from there, but she misheard my first sentence as asking her to dance and I just sort of went with it. We waited for a slow song while we talked all about Ace Attorney and the various nerdy things that we liked and then danced while we talked some more. After that first dance, we went to the con's game room and played around on Persona 4 Arena before heading back for one last two-song dance. After the ball ended, we swapped phone numbers and searched for the guy who I was originally at the con with, only to be met with miserable failure. Eventually, she went to her hotel with her group while I, having no place to sleep, stayed at the con and went to panels all night and morning.

After the longest ten hours of my life, I went to the Nobuo Uematsu panel, video recorded it, and got his autograph (squee!). I waited for an hour after that and called the girl that I've been going on about for over 1000 characters to let her know that I would be waiting for her in the game room. I got her voicemail, left my message, and hung up. My phone had to be off except for that, though (low battery), so I didn't get her phone call from five minutes beforehand. She met me at the game room and all was fine, though. After a few matches in Persona 4 Arena, we headed to the food court where she bought herself some fries and allowed me to take a few. On the way there, we ran into one of her friends and I just sort of stood there while they caught up. After the foodcourt, all three of us headed back down to the game room where my new friend and her old friend played more of P4A together. After a little while, I asked if I could rest my head on her shoulder and, knowing that I had pulled an all-nighter, she let me do just that. I fell asleep for periods of a few minutes at a time while she watched and played some P4A matches. After that we just sort of walked around the con until she had to leave with her group, and at that point I stayed with her friend because I had nobody else to be with at the time. Since then, I've sent her one text message to let her know what my e-mail address is and ask her to call me sometime. I have yet to receive any kind of reply. I'm nervous about calling her myself because she works five days a week and I don't know what hours she's free. She's also moving next Monday and will be packing all weekend, which means she won't be free any time soon. She'll back for winter break and some time in January, though.

So basically, how should I proceed from here and, if you've read the other details, have I been doing alright so far?

This is highlight of my whole collection of photos. There was a charity auction early in Nobuo Uematsu's Q&A panel to raise money for cancer. He saw how dedicated everyone was to the cause, so he donated this beauty. He used it to purify the spiritual energies in hotel rooms. It is one hundred percent one of a kind, and I got the only photo of it before they said not to take photos. It fetched a good $400, too. Whoever got it is super lucky and deserves to be punched in the face for having more money than me.

But that got screwed up so I'm just gonna tell you my five big highlights.

    1. NOBUO UEMATSU! He made a HUGE announcement at the Distant Worlds concert that I can't tell you because it's actually kind of a leak. The only reason told us is because we were the best audience he's had in his whole Distant Worlds run. Wait for the 25th Anniversary concert for the official announcement. You're going to look back on this thread and think I'm awesome for just telling you guys this. Oh, and I got his autograph.

    2. I think I've made a semi-famous friend. After I met her at her first autograph signing, Cheremi Leigh recognized and said hi to me a couple times when I passed by her other two signings. And she wants to go to Ohayocon, so I might even see her there too!

    3. Doug Walker accepted my gift of pears at his autograph signing.

    4. Three people recognized my Mr. Ono cosplay without needing to be told, and several others loved it once I did tell them. It was the first Mr. Ono cosplay that anyone who recognized it had seen, which makes me think that it might be the first one of all time. I was even offered a spot in leading the Persona panel at Ohayocon. Naturally, I accepted because this one needed a lot more Sengoku era.

    5. OH MY GOD YOU GUYS I MET A REALLY AWESOME GIRL! She's funny, nice, smart, sweet, and we have a lot in common! On top of all that, I think I might have a chance with her! I don't believe in love at first sight, but I was falling for her by the end of our first conversation. I would say that I was her date to the Heroes Ball, but we just sort of saw each other there and danced (terribly) to a couple songs. She even took the lead without needing me to be incredibly awkward and ask her to. We spent most of Sunday together too and played a bunch of Persona 4 Arena. And I actually might have a chance with her too! We've got so much in common and it seems like she likes me too. She even let me sleep on her shoulder because I pulled an all nighter between Saturday and Sunday and she was the one who suggested that we swap phone numbers. Unfortunately, she's leaving or Chicago pretty soon, but she'll be back for Winter Break and Ohayocon, so I'll be able to try and see her during those two time periods. Oh my god you guys I'm so happy.

What events should I attend? I already plan on getting autographs from these people:
    Brina Palencia
    Cathy Weseluck
    Cheremi Leigh
    Christopher Sabat
    Nobuo Uematsu (SQUEE)
    Scott Freeman
    Scott McNeil
    Sonny Strait
    Doug Walker

With that in mind, where should I go to fill my three days during which I might not be able to access KHV?

And the Ultima Weapon is not the best weapon in the game. What the hell, Nomura? It's supposed to be best! It's the Ultima Weapon. It's right there in the name. It's the last weapon you'll need to equip. That's what the word "ultimate" and its various derivatives means. Final. Last. So why is the Keyblade that I have equipped better than the Keyblade I just got? I am sickened.
