I don't see how you can not go with reading. You can still learn from reading fiction; it's just a different kind of learning. TV is bogged down by media-imposed crap, games are bogged down by media-imposed crap, so reading seems like the obvious choice for me.
The character creator in SCIV is just incredible. I mean, it's seriously limitless the amount of customization you can include. I recommend it for anyone that doesn't already have it.

I feel your pain, man. Even though I've never been through something so extreme (I live in a liberal state), being Catholic, I know how it feels to have this kin of idiocy forced on you like this. Just ignore it, for the most part. Only pay attention to the stuff you agree with, that's my motto.

Just wanted to clear something up on the Nazis: Israel exists primarily because of the Holocaust. After WWII, the world realized that Jews needed their own country. So they gave them one. Anyway, I blame Hamas. Israel has every right, in my opinion, to bomb the **** out of Gaza if that's what it takes to get rid of terrorist groups like Hamas.
