Happy New Years, for all of you who aren't Chinese. ;)
Keep in mind that not everyone believes in angels. :) Anyway, I'm kinda torn on this. I mean, if the people actually saw it, than I'd believe it. But the picture could just be a glare. Weird shape, though...
Thank you and you others who pointed this out. I am straight, so I unfortunately cannot sympathize, but people need to realize that homosexuality is not a choice, it is PURELY GENETIC. The pope has no right to speak this way, and it makes me ashamed to be a Catholic.
...
Dress codes originated in private (non-secular) institutions, and the idea behind them was to keep students from being distracted by members of the opposite sex. Myself being currently under one, I find them stupid, but I could see how someone could want to use them.
Great book. Recommend it for people of any age.
Yea. Definitely The Giver for me.
Yeah. But we're getting a little off topic, aren't we?
I wake up on December 25 and there's a shitload of presents under a huge-ass conifer covered with fragile balls and lights. Yeah.
1. Sorry, レッツ・シェイク. Didn't know you spoke it. My bad. 2. Jehovah is a mistranslation of YHWH. (I'm sorry if anyone's offended by my posting the name). The name was written with the vowels of the word Adonai, which means Lord, so that when the Torah was read aloud, the reader would remember to pronounce YHWH as Adonai. When non-Jews read the Torah, they thought that YHWH+Adonai's vowels was one word, which they pronounced as "Jehovah", a nonexistent word.
Here's the thing with the state of Illinios: our former governor is in jail, our current governor is going to jail, which only adds to our reputation as one of the most corrupt states in America, and we are the laughing stock of the entire country. That's why I'm ashamed.
You guys do know that the song has nothing to do with the character, right? Oh, and I can play the opening riff, too.
Yeah...Soulja Boy can suck my balls. Period. I hate it when people compare him to Tupac (best rapper of all time, and I don't even listen to rap).
God's most sacred name in Hebrew is YHWH, but no one is sure how that is actually pronounced because it was never written with vowel marks. (Hebrew uses an abjad script, so it has no vowels.) Elohim simply means "God", so you're partly correct.
I believe in the virtues of goodwill, giving, and love. I believe that as long as there is Christmas, there will be some peace in this tattered world of ours. I believe that we can make this world into a beautiful place for our children if we get up and do something. So yes, I believe in the wonderful, metaphorical symbol that we call Santa Claus.
I'm not Muslim and I can answer some of those questions. 1. Probably a really weird coincidence. I don't see how they could've planned that. 2. They're probably against it, but I can't say for sure. 3. No idea. Probably the same reason Jews have it on Saturday and Christians on Sunday; it just is. 4. Allah translates to "God" in Arabic. They refer to him by an Arabic name because the Quran was written in Arabic, and Arabic is the language of Muslim worship.
http://www.usatoday.com/news/nation/2008-12-09-blagojevich-arrest_N.htm?csp=34 About time. Sometimes I feel ashamed to be a Chicagoan.
This poll is pointless. The obvious answer is Sephiroth.
http://searchbeta.playlist.com/tracks#knights%20of%20cydonia That song is the me.
Yea, there's a lot of screaming, and it's not totally like TMV.
