"What really pisses me off," Xardius growled, jumping down from the top of the ship, "is that you take corruption as a matter of course. You seem to think that you can bribe, bully, or kill anyone that gets in your way, and so far, it's worked for you." He pointed a finger at Crapo. "I don't forget people who shoot bullets in me. I don't care if I have the rest of the Ultimate Organization backing me, my next target after the Brotherhood..." He smiled grimly. "...is going to be you and your pathetic form of government." The next instant, chaos broke loose as the Enigmatic Knights rushed into the Brotherhood forces, followed by the Larenskan forces crashing into their backs. The Brotherhood, unprepared for a double volley but well-trained, quickly turned and began fighting back. Where the ship lay, Knight forces rushed into the clearing, hacking the Brotherhood soldiers into pieces before they could raise weapons. They charged at the remaining soldiers, Tyre Rutherford veering off to take out the guards around Vecked and Xane. His sword splintered their handcuffs. "Time to go," he said, turning back around. "We can handle ourselves. Highwind should be here with the Virus within the next few moments, so get a ship and get out." *** Highwind smashed the bubble down into the crystal quite suddenly, releasing Wing's power. "Wing, you deal with this guy, I've got to get the Virus to the UO," Highwind said. Dyran nodded. "I'll cover him. If you can't handle this guy, get out. No heroics."
Marcus nodded. "Right. This way." He led the way to a short treeline, fronted by a large boulder. "Here." He walked up to the boulder, and scrambled upwards on top. "They're beyond the hill over there, so you have to get on top to see them." He helped Vecked up and pointed them out. "See, they're breaking camp and already half of the camp is on the march towards the caves."
OOC: Hey Nulix. Only got time for one post. BIC: "Vecked!" Marcus called, running up. "The Brotherhood's getting riled up. It looks like they're pulling all their forces forward towards the caves. The Knights must be attacking. If we hurry, we can catch the Brotherhood off guard and plow a hole straight through!" OOC: He seems overly excited. Maybe a few posts, actually. I'm not sure. If I somehow disappear...sorry.

Highwind looked rather dismal. "We have survived many battles, Wing. It's only natural the odds catch up to us once in a while. Tera Roth just saw it coming. It got the rest of us thinking too." "Still," Highwind said. "I don't have any intention of dying, but I am taking the precautions necessary if I do." He shook his head. "About the Virus...I'm using all of my power right now just to contain it. You need to take it to the Skypit, correct? To really destroy it? Here, it will just run away." Dyran nodded. "Yes. So how do we do it?" "We combine mine and Wing's powers," Highwind said. "Momentarily, I'll have enough power to crush the Virus into one of those crystals Xardius always has." He held up one. "Which I have one of. This thing could withstand the force of the universe exploding. Handy suckers. It will keep the Virus...for a time. You'll probably have at most three days to get it to the Skypit before it breaks free." He held out a hand for Wing. "I work better with physical contact. Flood your power into me through our hands, and I'll condense this bubble."
Tyre looked at Wing. "I think he'd better explain that...Down there." He pointed down a passage, and disappeared down another one. Dyran ran down the passageway to find Highwind staring at...darkness. "Good evening," Highwind said. "Wing, you remember when I asked you to help us? Now's the time." He pulled out a packet of letters. "These are letters from several Guardians, including myself and Tyre, to our families, wives, etc. I'd like you to deliver them when you can." He shrugged. "You have the best chance of surviving this show."
Dyran was a little creeped out, but didn't say so. "Who would, right?" Tyre said, suddenly running alongside Dyran. Dyran nearly tripped on his face, but Tyre grabbed his arm and pulled him back up. "Who...?" Dyran began. Tyre sighed. "Tyre Rutherford. You're really not him are you? I had hoped...Never mind." "Tera Roth's dead," Dyran growled. Tyre's eyes hardened around the edges. "I said never mind. We're already moving to attack the Brotherhood through the open gate. I'm supposed to take you to Highwind. He's got the Virus under wraps somehow." Dyran shook his head. "We can't take it out ourselves." Tyre smiled slightly. "Of course not." OOC: If Wing wants to say something to Tyre...
OOC: Man, I apologize. I kept checking back to see if there were any new posts, but I forgot to reload the page each time. I am so stupid sometimes. BIC: Dyran nodded, smiling to himself. He found the switch for the alarm and turned it off. "Looks like the Knights are down Passage 9." He pointed at a passage and ran towards it, trusting in Wing to follow.
OOC: The control room for the gate? BIC: Dyran followed, silent for a moment. "Is that a problem?" he asked finally. "What will he do if he finds you?" Or more to the point, what will you do? he thought to himself.
OOC: I'm going to zonk in and out...if that makes sense.

OOC: It's never happened to me; I was just trying to sympathize, XD. I am sorry for your loss.
OOC: That's about as lame as having your car broken into and the only thing stolen is your camera which held little meaning to anyone else, but real special meaning to you, like a picture of a sunrise the day you got up and hiked two miles to get on top of the mountain and feel the wind in your hair and watch the sun climb higher and warm you up, and just feel peaceful... At least, that's what I've heard... BIC: "Swanson?" Dyran asked, brow furrowing as he ran behind Wing. "Who's that?"
OOC: I just slept for about 13 hours, and feel a lot better now. BIC: Dyran sprinted forward, hopping over the guards' bodies and dropping to his knees near the lock. His fingers spun as he took the cover off, wired, rewired, pushed buttons, and finally released the lock. "Wing, let's go!" Dyran said, running inside. "That probably had a built-in alarm that will send more guards here."
OOC: Man, I know I just got on, but I'm afraid I'm going to puke any second now, so I'm gonna split. Sorry. BIC: Marcus nodded, and began yelling for anyone who had a good amount of skill in light attacks. Al began ordering the rest into an attack formation, he called the wedge. "The Knights will be the hammer," Alphonse said with a smile. "They'll drive the Brotherhood around us, digging us deeper into them where we can really do some damage. We'll just have to make sure our attacks are synced."
OOC: Marcus and Alphonse appeared through a growing crowd of soldiers. "Glad you could make it. What are our orders?" *** Meanwhile, Dyran and Wing crept closer to the cave. "Three guards," Dyran said softly. "We'll have to do this quick and silently. Can you take them out while I get the blockade down?"
OOC: I sympathize. VX = Vecked and Xane, DW = Dyran and Wing. That help? Basically, we want to get the Brotherhood out of the way so we can go into the caves and get the Virus, so we can take it to the Skypit and kablooie it.
OOC: Maybe that's what it is...I hate being sick. We're basically just choosing teams. Vecked and Xane are on a team, Dyran and Wing are on a team...DW need someone to create a distraction, so that at least means one more. DW is slipping inside the cave system to get the Knights to attack the Brotherhood. VX is grouping with the Larenskan army to attack the Brotherhood head-on. Any questions?
OOC: Well, I feel absolutely terrible. (Note that I'm online; I actually kept my promise for once). I just have to ask, why is that you never seem to have a clue as to what's going on, Nul?
