I'm not sure about this. Having two Keybladers introduced at once makes things a bit too quick. As for Blaze, I see Pezz is determined to have him not touch to the darkness too much... and I sorta agree. Since Blaze knows a lot about the darkness, probably even mroe than Riku, he'll moderate his use. Of course, when prompted in a climatic final battle, he might be tempted, but the situation won't really require it. SRK and the Keybladers are, after all, on Blaze's side when he wants to destroy Xehanort. He may want to solo him, seeking to destroy the darkness, but will Sora just stand there and watch? I don't think so. They should team up for a segment of the battle. Btw, I finally finished my design for Rin. The word "finally" is actually misleading ; I did 80% of the work last Friday at school, and finished it Sunday night. I also have that new Keyblade to show. It's very late now, so I can try to scan it tomorrow. Hopefully my scanner works, otherwise I'll have to rely on the school's one. I fear that my desing is too undecisive though, since I'm not good at drawing, and didn't even draw a face... more details tomorrow.
I'm starting to think it's better just to have him wield a Keyblade, which has two forms. Nothing more complicated, except that he keeps his Key in its 2nd form nearly always. Xehanort could use the Unity Weapons, however. Btw, I think I am the one to have proposed that, and I was actually referring to dual swords that can be assembled into one, so something that can be done mechanically. It seems that you got a more advanced cooncept for it, involving magic and everything. I thought we could give this to Xehanort. Let's say he has a Keyblade that he uses as Myst, and another one he uses as himself. In the end, he unites them to make a new one. And just to add more fun, let's have both his Keyblades be the Negative Space of one another. Like, for example, if Sora were to use this concept, his 1st Key will be his usual one, who has a crown as negative space. His 2nd Key will have a plain crown, so he'll assemble them like Legos, and unleash new powers. So this idea could make some quick-eyed players realise who Myst is. Or at least realise he's linked to Xehanort. Or, finally, we can apply this idea to SRK, as they'll make some sort of Drive transformations by combining two weapons. Interesting. Good idea there. And no, it won't make him too powerful. Think of this principle : I wield a large scythe that I swing effortlessly, but I can't control myself, and hack and slash wildly at all the walls I see. If you fight me with a wooden stick, you'll probably win, even though I have more "power". So Blaze will, similarly, have quite a lot of power, but not use it all. He despises it, and can't fully control it. So he'll unleash it eventually, when he needs it, and at that, time, the Darkness will try to overtake him. Suggestion : Eventually Blaze fights Xenahort, probably in the final battle. To make matters more epic, he must do so in order to help SRK, such as saving them from a surprise attack by Xehanort. He then proceeds to fight Xehanort alongside Sora, but gets downed again and again. So he gives in to his power, gets infused with fiery darkness, and goes All Shall Be Lost To You on everything. He gets defetead eventually, but Sora defeats Xehanort. Finally, Riku and Kairi convince Blaze's mind to fight the Darkness. Kairi uses her power of light, and Riku's already won that fight before, so he knows what it's like. Blaze is saved, The World Ends At Sunset collapses, the game ends, and from tehre on... well, Blaze's future, as with all the Keybladers, is yet to be seen...
Very well thought of. As with Pezz, I agree he shouldn't hate Riku... but he can have hated him at first. Then, he realises Maleficent only wants her own good, so he stops hating Riku, and wants to kill that old hag. We can say Blaze somehow helped Riku too! Helped him fight the Darkness. I seem to come up with a lot of ideas about Blaze acting behind the scenes of KH1 today. P.S. : This Thread is completely insane when all four of us are online at the same time! P.S. : For yesterday, if my memory serves me right... :party-smiley-015: Pezz!
Which Post? The long one (with a proposed backstory) or the short one (with the idea of being seen as a Nobody)? I'm starting to have a lot of respect towards Blaze now. I suggest that he makes a sudden appearance at an importnat moment, like, for example, when TWTNW is destroyed, and he surprises everyone. He could help the Keybladers escape... or better, ignore them, and go after Maleficient, realising that he's missed the fun of fighting her. (again, since he missed it in KH1) He tries to kill her now that she's been weakened (I assume SRK fought her), and hopes that TWTNW will vanish with it. Making it less obvious he has a Keyblade? Remember, he stabs Riku with it first thing in the game. We can try to disguise his Keyblade by giving it a 1st/2nd form which doesn't really look like a Key... but that would defeat the purpose of a new Keyblader, wouldn't it? I like the idea of 3rd form Keyblade. Regardless if he actually succeeds it or not, it's cool. It will also prove Blaze strenght, because he can keep his Keyblade in its 2nd form non-stop (I mean, there should be a downside to having your Key in its 2nd form, no?) If we got over the potential copyright problem with squeenix, sounding like an anime doesn't seem too dangerous, lol. It will only make fans more excited! Blaze insane? I dont' think so, becasue he seems powerful enough to hold his will. Think of Riku. He never got on the verge of insanity, even if 99% of people would've. Furthermore, we already have Eclipse who lost her mind. Also, he wants Chaos, but I'm not sure he wants to spread it everywhere. If so, he'll be JUST LIKE Maleficent. With or without my suggested backstory, it causes problems. I was thninking of him liking Chaos, but controlling his desire for it. A bit like going through a mall while hungry. You would like to eat the apples on the shelves, but you won't because that would be stealing. No problem, just remember that missing one day can often mean you have to read thousands of words of posts :D Eh? How come?
I have an idea. Let's make others think that Blaze is a Nobody, because he's a wild card, unpredictable, and has obscure goals. After all, he IS chaos, so he seeks to be mysterious. For example, after Rin realises Myst isn't Turpis, she should start thinking Myst is Blaze (provided she meets Blaze evnetually). Riku could wonder how come someone can like chaos so much, and will thus wonder is Blaze can actually feel anything. The few lines I wrote for him already DO make him sound like someone out of the Organization. The kind of guy who knows more than you, talks in such way that you may or may not understand, talks as if you knew as much as him, despite not being the case, comes and leaves, shows great power, has objectives that seem opposite, etc etc etc. Hm... since we're one person short for Blaze, why not flesh him all together? It will definitely make him the most mysterious Keyblader, except Myst.
Did you just repost what everyone said until now?
Blaze despises Darkness. Maleficient loves Darkness. We have a conflict here. If they also met each other in the past, we have reasons for a massive hatred between them. I once proposed Blaze to be MAleficient's son. I personally don't like the idea, but I'm retelling it nonetheless. Random ideas, but they are a lot like Eclipse's story, so give me your opinions on this : 1 - If not, then Blaze could've witnessed his homeworld's destruction by the Heartless, and was unable to stop them. 2 - Brimming with hatred fro the Heartless and Maleficient, the Darkness got a hold on him, but Blaze proved way too strong for it. 3 - He managed to use the power of Darkness to actually espace his dying world, and now seeks revenge. That way, he has some control over the power he despises. 4 - He hates Heartless, but since they are mindless, he realised that he must hunt down the one who controls them : Maleficient. 5 - He helped Sora in KH1 by putting some of Ansem's Reports where Sora would find them. Not sure how. Anyway, Blaze was smart enough to make a copy, and keep it, so that he also studies Ansem. He finds out Ansem is the one he must truly defeat, even more than Maleficient. 6 - By the timne he realises this, Sora already pwns both Maleficient and Ansem. We could say Blaze somehow interfered, or actually fought Maleficient just before Sora did, ending in a draw or something. 7 - Since the Organization spread Heartless, Blaze turned his eyes towards them. But since Maleficient was dead for a year or so, he could've just took a break first. Maybe it's during that time that he realised what Chaos means to him : 8 - Now that his nemesises were defeated, he felt incomplete, because he wasn't the one to kill them, but also because he had no objective. He alwyas thought he would achieve peace and Order upon accomplishing his self-imposed mission, but his revenge turned out to be pale in excitement. He realised that the Order wasn't for him ; he wanted action and a purpose, even if that meant living in constant warfare and Chaos. 9 - Xemnas makes Roxas and Axel revive Maleficient. Blaze now has his purpose back, and forgets about the Organization. Or acts against it. Whichever you like most. 10 - KH2 ends, and Blaze has the Organization out of the way. Now only Maleficient remains. 11- ... But he'll soon learn that Xehanort's Heartless and Xemnas' defeat brought Xehanort back, and the HE is the one that must truly be stopped... Ok, this is very strange. By writing this, I realise that there are always TWO factions which spread/control Heartless. Maleficient + Xehanort's Heartless, then Maleficient + Organization, then Maleficient + Xehanort. The only expection is during the year between KH1 and KH2, when Maleficient was dead. Stoppind RIGHT HERE before this Post's lenght becomes eligible for my philosophy dissertation.
True, but I always thought it was because Sora was aware that Vexen had something to do with Riku Replica. He believed Repliku was actually Riku, and upon seeing Vexen dying, he was scared he'll never learn what happened to his best friend. Furthermore, Vexen also started revealing Marluxia's plans. Had Axel not interfered, Sora wou'lve learned a lot, and he knew it. Hence his shock/fear.
Interesting. Having Rin being a Synther seemed a bit out of place for me too, but having her being a mage is better. Not too into magic, like, say, Donald, but she'll have some powerful mystical strength. Since you like the idea that Turpis exploits her abilities, that can work with magic too. Not sure how exaclty, because Turpis must get "help" from Rin without revealing his secret lab. I'll have to think that one up. As for healing Oriens and Turpis in battle, that's cool. She can thus have helped them with any Heartless they fought, before she got her Keyblade. And about your idea of Kairi fighting Turpis, and Rin interfering when Turpis' creature is defeated, it's good, except that you didn't explain why Rin let Kairi fight to begin with. Wouldn't she have interfered when she saw Turpis? She must've left somewhere or something. Nice drawing, Pezz! You did s good job there. I practiced drawing a human today, and even though I only did the basic body shape, I realised it can be done. Your success inspires me further. One concern I have about your Eclipse, is that her dress is completely unsuitable for fighting. It's the kind of clothes that you need to be in a video game so that they don't make you trip :) EDIT : Oh, and as for making a movie, that seems cool. As long as we have some moderate quality, it should be fun, at least to try out an episode or two. However, we would definitely need sound advanced sound editing programs. I like Kme92's idea of having voices, but to the best of my knowledge, we're only guys here. It's gonna be hard for us to voice Eclipse, Rin, Kairi, and any eventual Disney/random female character.
EDIT : Oh btw, CTR has responded to my Private Message about Copyright questions. I don't know if she sent it to you too, so I'll post it here : Considering we definitely aren't the first ones to do such a thing, I say we will be fine. We'll need to really start making a game in order to have problems. I must admit my knowledge of Disney movies is quite minimal, so I can't help in that department, lol. I received Lilbueno's reports. They are very good, but Pezz pointed out some important details. For example, Turpis sure arrives at the good conclusions fast. Way too fast. That needs refining. Other than that, what Pezz already pointed out is pretty much true. Btw Pezz, you are a perfectionnist when it comes to the Reports ; I was surprised how many things you proposed changes to. That's not a bad thing, don't worry :D As for my own ideas, I've had two particular ones that I'd like to share. First, for the Reports, maybe it's worth it to go back and read some of our older Posts. Actually, it's useful to go through this entire Thread, quickly reading your own Posts, to compare how your ideas changed. Sometimes we express our ideas in pretty detailed fashion, and all we need to do is put some "Xehanortish" grammar to make a prototype Report. The second one concerns Rin. I just don't like the idea of Oriens and Turpis keeping her only because of housekeeping ; if that's so, they would've probably just let her on her own. She must've had some more serious usefulness for them. Since she didn't have her Keyblade yet, I thought of a random idea : How'bout making Rin have some Synthesis knowledge? Like, she could be the same as Moogle, and craft items. Or at least be able to do some basic stuff. That would've interested Oriens and Turpis, because it's always handful to have a Synther around you :D Turpis would've also been more interested in Rin, when he started making his experiments. She could've been a bit useful to him. I thought of making Turpis exploit Rin's abilities without her knowledge, by asking her to do items that he uses in his lab. What do you think of this? It's one of the details in Rin's story that I'm having trouble with. The story itself is brewing, and when it comes, expect something that's ridiculously long and that will have to be cut down :D
Happy birthday, Kme92! And happy birthday, Pezz, cuz you're 4 days away from it! Happy anniversary to both of you! :birthday: ... Not much else to say, except my opinion on Pezz's Keyblades. I like the A, in both the normal and evolved form. The normal A has a quite awesome handle, and as with Kme92, I like the "fiery" design on the evolved's A blade.
No, not yet.
I like it! A lot! Except for this part : Sorry, but I found that pretty random! I think I'll keep most of your ideas, and will probably end up doing a book on Rin as well. A lot of her personnal details, which you didn't describe, since your concern was Turpis, will fall on my shoulders. Well, I'll draw her soon, too. Since I've been absent for some time (and probably will dissapear again, too), I plan to at least give some inspiring ideas to all of you.
So, I'm not the only one whose Internet connection had problems with KH-Vids? It sometimes just won't load, not to mention it randomnly stops giving me E-mail updates. I was shocked when I came here. Been quite dead lately ; I pretty much lost my SOS because of school, lol. Haven't though much about our KH3 either, but I do have a new Keyblade drawing (I need to scan it), ideas for drawing Rin (I suck at drawing people, but I really want to try it out) and a few ideas for Rin's back story. Lilbueno included Rin in Turpis' backstory, but I'll have to go back and read it. I only rememeber the part where Rin's parents were killed by Heartless. I actually though about something similar, only that it would be Desouls : Rin starts hanging around with Tupris, Oriens, etc. in HH, but when Turpis' research goes haywire, Rin's parents are victims of the Desouls. I DO NOT know if it's consistent with your backstories, since I read thousasnds of words in the last 15 minutes, and I need to reread to make sure I understand everything. That's the price for being absent for an entire week  Anyway, Rin pretty much needs to have some tragedy in her life, which would explain how come she became so tough. She may not be as cold-hearted as Eclipse, but Rin also keeps most of her feelings to herself. So, gotta finish a chemistry homework, then coming back to reread what I've missed...
Been kinda overwhelmed... with the addition of schoolwork, finals are soon to come, and I've also receive a giga-project ot make, which requires a...
Unfortunately, I think that the reference was to Xehanort and Terra/Aqua/Ven/Mickey. Also, this would mean that they brought chaos/order 11 years before KH2. Therefore, they must be like 30 now, which I personally think won't be as good. I always pictured them young, and even if Turpis and Oriens are older, I can't imagine them lookign like Xemnas, say.
Hey dude! Yeah, what's up?
Great job on the opening, Kme92! Seriously, it looks awesome. It's more... professionnal, for lack of a better word, than most videos I've seen. I like how you resumed pretty much the whole story ; it was nicely done, and perfect for an opening/ending/something of such importance. Once again, great job.
I'm proud to announce that the Wiki now has an Artwork page. I've put every image we did there (I realise I forgot one, it'll be fixed soon), and this required going through the Enemy Thread, the Emblem Thread, and the Story Thread. As I already said, reading random posts makes you see how far we went :D
I wonder if she could've been under both their tutoring at the same time. Since Turpis wasn't too evil back then, it's possible. An other idea is to have her be Turpis' apprentice, but then swtich to Oriens when Turpis goes around creating Desouls. Rin can be the one to notice that Turpis is doind suspicious stuff, and then report this to Oriens. Shortly after, Oriens will examine Turpis' research himself, discover a few incriminating stuff, ask for explanatations, and Turpis will leave. Then Oriens will take up Rin's teaching. The second idea means that Rin is somewhat reluctant to use what Turpis taught her. Original, but unfortunately already used in KH. Riku was scared of the darkness and everything, so yeah. ... Wait a sec, ANOTHER link between Rin and Riku:blink::gunwtf::blink:??? Also, it means that Turpis can hold a grudge against Rin, since she "betrayed" him. But he can just as easily not care. The Mystery Keyblader appeared recently, since he's actually he revived Xehanort (spoilers!!!). If we want to use him for anything, then the stroy must happen a certain time after KH2. When exactly does the story take place? Yeah, when they read Mickey's letter, but that's how long after KH? Ok, so assuming we have a few months of time between the stories, then Myst can be used. And I know how to use him : Rin's "general" objetive is to ensure each world's Order is undisturbed. She has been doing that for quite some time, but then came the Desouls. She knows a bit (or a lot) about them, and noticed that Myst appeared at the same time. Myst is also mysterious, and emanates a powerful aura. Since Rin was keeping an eye on the worlds, it's understandable that she's the one to notice the link between the Desouls and Myst. So her "specific" objective is to find out who Myst is, because she knows he's someone that must be watched. Going with my previous ideas, that's Rin's concern, up until Myst showed up.
