Xardius didn't bother. He simply gutted the box, ripping it to shreds. He felt as if a shadow was caressing his face after he was done, and his eyes narrowed. Pain exploded like a thousand needles hitting his back at once, and Xardius gasped in surprise, falling to the ground as the shadows around him coalesced into a humanoid form. "So that's what you are," Xardius smirked as the pain receded. "A wraith. Not the greatest thing on the planet but you'll do." He grabbed the wraith's neck and squeezed. The wraith reeled back and tried to escape, but Xardius' hand tightened and the wraith stopped struggling. Xardius stood, bringing the wraith up with him. "You're the source of my battle lust," Xardius said. "Well, I suspected. You should come in handy, so instead of stuffing you back in your box, I'll forgive you for hurting me and I'll simply request you join me for a while." The wraith ceased struggling, as if considering, then the head nodded. "Good," Xardius said, pulling out a crystal. "Hop in." The wraith obligingly extended a hand, and in an instant, was gone. Xardius put the crystal back in his belt. "We can leave now."
Xardius could feel it. His muscles tensed even further, like a spring winding up. This is what he had sensed before. This was the source of his passion for warfare. Slowly, he stepped forward. "Everyone, back away about 20 feet. Then Wing, open it with your wind powers. I'll make sure it's nothing...dangerous." The way he said made him sound like he was almost hopeful it was.
EDIT OOC: Guess I'm behind the times. *sigh* BIC: Xardius tensed, readying himself.
OOC: Oh, whatever then... BIC: Xardius slowly slid his sword along the ground as he approached Beau and the other UO members. His face was shadowed, but the smirk was evident on his face and his eyes were glowing slightly. "It's close," he whispered. "I want to fight...Do you?"
OOC: Hey guys. Where do you want Xardius?
OOC: Gotta go. I'll be back on tomorrow though. Try not to finish this without me, but I'll forgive you if you do. There'll be other times.
OOC: *shrugs* Xardius wants to fight... BIC: "Whatever," Xardius said, kicking the guy on the ground. "It's not here." He began walking off, somehow not getting hit by bullets aimed at him.
"Too slow," Xardius said, bolting past them and laying into the soldiers like no other, his sword leaving a trail of blood and bodies behind it. The man who had spoken was knocked unconscious with a swift uppercut from Xardius' sword handle and Xardius cleaned his sword on the man's coat. "You can question him," Xardius said. "I'll keep in touch."
Xardius grumbled something, and moved ahead of the Ulfire systems, moving quickly to scout out the area. Within a few minutes, he'd defused two car bombs and left a sign pointing out a land bomb. He was, after all, trained to do this.
OOC: I guess so...I mean, I normally just reload the page every once in a while, and if it doesn't work, I do something else. (That's why I'm slow sometimes; I'll forget I'm online, and then go, 'Oh, yeah. UO.' XP) BIC: Xardius smiled grimly, and began silently stretching his muscles.
OOC: OK, I was stuck with internet problems and database errors, so I hope you've all had better luck. I'm actually kinda disappointed; I'd hoped we'd get our butts in gear. Taking our time is one thing, but dragging moving from one area to another for two days makes me want to yawn (Pirate). EDIT: Oh, hey it's Nulix. Good, I don't have to play UPA/Ulfire/gang members again...
OOC: Sorry. BIC: "Well, look who we have here," Tyre Rutherford said, popping up next to the UO. "Some UO members not doing very well at disguising themselves. Funny we should meet here."
OOC: Nulix.... BIC: Xardius slipped to the side into the trees, planning to bide his time and strike when most needed.
"Oh, nothing," Xardius said. "Nothing at all." OOC: I'm forcing the issue. This is getting boring. BIC: The airship landed with a gentle bump, and the soldiers began moving towards the exit. Xardius followed.
OOC: The fanfic, of course! You said you'd start it and send it to me... BIC: Xardius turned his head slightly to hear better, but didn't really care. He paused for a second. This wasn't normal behavior for him; he didn't normally act like a raw bullet. Xardius considered, and focused. The source of all this anger seemed to be...where they were going. He smiled. Perfect.
OOC: ...I meant Season One, where we're inside Kingdom Hearts... Hi, Wing! BIC: Xardius waited impatiently...He just wanted to get a good fight, like the old days.
OOC: Hey, Nulix, you ever gonna give me Season Two?
Xardius grumbled something about being ignored and walked to the front of the truck. "We're nearly there."
Xardius shrugged as he appeared from nowhere, and stretched slowly, letting his muscles unwind. "Either way, I'm coming with you at least. If they're something that can kill an entire contingent, I wanna be there to fight it."
OOC: Hrmphle. I can't believe your bad luck, Jaxed. BIC: Xardius was hiding somewhere nearby. Alpha shrugged. "It doesn't matter. It belongs to Ulfire." Xardius rolled his eyes, and muttered. "Doesn't matter if we take it or not, all we need is a piece of it..."
