Sartre winced. "I was just trying to kill them..what's wrong with that??" He replied hastily. He struck another assassin. Aiko chanted a protection spell. The protection shield flickered for a moment, then died. Aiko snarled in fury. She struck 2 more assassins in the neck, but made little injury. One assassin sneaked up behind her and grabbed her head with both hands. He transmitted something over to her head, which caused Aiko to have a huge 'headache'. Aiko fell on her knees in shock. In her mind, she relived the memories hidden away from view. She saw her father and mother murdered by SES. She remembered her uncle dying by a poisoned dart implanted on his back. Her aunt, hanged in a nearby tree, her friends and other relatives, herded into a minefield, and died within the explosions. Tears came streaming into her eyes. "NO!" She screamed, "Make it stop! Make it stop!" Haatsu merely chuckled. 'She's weakening at a fast pace....good" He started walking towards her. The assassins parted to let him through. "Had enough...?" Aiko didn't answer. She didn't even hear him, she was still in the memories.
Aiko just noticed the blast and ducked. The blast struck and killed 2 assassins. She put back her blood-stained sais back into her case, and pulled out a gleaming, sword. "Haratsu, when I get my hands on you...!" The rest of her words were cut off by the sound of steel striking iron. She managed to kill one assassin by chopping off his head, but everything else seems to fail. 'Crap.....' Haratsu seemed amused. He noticed Serifina pissed off. "Wow, somebody's angry..." He looked over at the battle with Aiko, she seemed to be weakening. 'At last....after years of preparation, I have finally made the perfect weapon against her. Sartre heard Serifina. He stood up, and grabbed his sword again, and struck an assassin in the side. "Now you'll fell my pain..." and plunged the sword deeper.
Sartre nodded. "I'm alright, get your head in the battle, don't worry about me..." He winced. He grabbed his sword, and sliced the first attacker he saw. He was in pain, but he didn't want anybody to notice. He fought off several more attackers. Then, his pain becoming unbearable, he collapsed. Weakened, 'He took out his pistol and tried shooting them. Aiko attacked and killed 2 of the 9 assassins after her. She called upon the spirits of fire, and one assassin was in flames. Haratsu was watching the fight. 'I wonder if I should tell her now, or later. I'll tell her later...' Aiko speared another assassin with her sai, and struck another in the neck. 3 assassins were also killed by the fire spirits. One assassin remained. She chuckled. "You can either run back to your pathetic boss and cry, or I'll kill you..." The assassin was heavily armored. It had not moved throughout the whole battle. He drank a liquid from a blue vial. In seconds, multiple copies of the assassin were sorrounding Aiko. Aiko laughed uneasily. 'Oh great, I just had to get a big, armoured guy with clones of himslef...this is not my day...'
Aiko nodded. "I-I saw something move..." She piointed towards the now-lit corridor, "It looked like a shadow or something...I-I think I scared it off or something....or maybe I've gotten it angrier..." Aiko shivered. "It's cold, let's go back to the dorms..."
Aiko looked up and saw Haratsu with some SES assassins. 'What??!! He betrayed us? ' She knew he was going to turn away from them, but she didn't know it would be so soon. "Haratsu! I thought we were allies...." Haratsu was leaning against a tree. "You can stop pretending...you told me yourself that one day I was gonig to betray you guys...you were right." He chuckled. "Be aware that I am no longer the Haratsu you used to know, I have been faking my feelings all these years. Now, I'll show my true abilities!" He took out his sword. Bubbling anger rose within Aiko. 'That cheating, lying, coward.....I knew he was a good-for-nothing JERK!!!' She stood up and took out her sais. Sartre couldn't belive his own partner would actually betray him. "Haratsu, I want an explanation...NOW!!" Haratsu calmly looked at Sartre. "Why bother, you're going to die anyways. You have betrayed the Society, and you will die for that crime." 6 out of the 24 assassins went after Sartre. Sartre quickly took out his pistol and killed 2 of them instantly. He ducked one of their swords, and felt a pain in his side. W=He had a deep gash below his shoulder. The rest of the assassins came after Aiko and Serifina. Haratsu wanted to fight Aiko himself, but he decided later on, when she was on the weak side. He sat down and watched the battle with bloodthirsty eyes.
Aiko sighed. "I guess i can't hid it much longer...." She moved a starnd of her hair from her face. "Way before I met you, I was teammates with a boy named Kyoshi Tsaki. We was a bit older than me, but very cute." Aiko muffled a giggle. "After some time, we were more than just friends. Then our boss gave us a mission, and I was supposed to be looking for the base of our enemies. Kyoshi and I were separated. I had to look in the eastern part, and Kyoshi in the western. It's already been 2 and a half years...I wonder if he's still alive..." Sartre was looking over to the girls. 'Must be something wrong...I'de rather not intrude.." He decided to go to sleep. Haratsu was returning to camp with a lot of SES's (Synapid-Exterminators-Squad). He pointed towards Aiko and Serifina. "There they are..."
Aiko wiped a tear from her eye. "It's nothing....really." She looked up at the stars wondering where Kyoshi was. Haratsu was searching the area for enemies. He was also looking for civilization nearby, just not the town that was covered with the chemical. He smelled something familiar in the air. He suddenly remembered the scent. It was the hideout of his old job. 'If Aiko and Serifina find this, they'll rip it to pieces...this'll be an excellent time to take them in...' He goes inside the hideout. Sartre was still wondering about the chemicals.
Aiko was warming herself near the fire. "It's chilly today..." She shivered. 'Kyoshi, if only you were here to comfort me. Times are rough without you...' She sighed. Haratsu came near the fire. "You okay? You seem really down today...somethinig bothering you?" "It's nothing..." Haratsu nodded. Sartre was leaning against a tree. wondering about the chemicals in the air that made Serifina nearly scream in agony.
Sartre shrugged "Maybe..." He stared into space thinking about the chemicals in the air, and who the person was that might have released it into the air. Aiko got up. "It's getting late. We should probably get some sleep..." She chanted a few words. Leaves, twigs,branches and roots formed together to make a large shelter, in the middle of the 'house' was a large fire. "This should protect us from the rain and the other weathers...don't worry, the fire won't burn up the shelter, it won't burn us, and we don't need to feed it wood." She smiled. She suddenly shouted, "I get first shift!!! Afer the explosion,I doubt I'll get any sleep..." "You're not the only one who doesn't want to go to sleep..." Haratsu said.
Aiko looked at Serifina puzzled. "Well, you were talkiing about the pain, trying to make it stop, and then you said something about a chemical in the air. I was totally confused by what you said. " Haratsu came back a moment later. "No enemies in sight....What happened back there?" He motioned to Serifina. Sartre sighed. "Whatever it was, it was no good. My spine tingled. I was shivering all over my body, and there was no breath of air."
Aiko was in the corridors searching for the library. She was trembling. She looked around. She thought she saw something move. "Hello?" She asked. 'Stupid thing for me tosay...it could've been a shadow-thingy." She cautiously went towards the library. It was closed. Aiko swore. "I thought they opened late at night." She sighed. "I guess I have to wait till tomorrow..." She turned her head. This time, she definitely saw something move. Her heart started racing. She suddenly had an awful feeling. 'Why do thses things keep happening to me!! I will not run!!!' She chanted a few words, and a flash of light sorrounded the gloomy darkness. the shadow was gone.
Aiko bit her lip. "Alright...Haratsu, Sartre...let's get out of here." She slung Serifina's arm around her shoulder and ran in the opposite direction of the explosion. About 2 hours later, they had gone about 65 miles from where the explosion took place. She knelt Serifina down...then fell from exhaustion. "You alright?" Haratsu asked Aiko. "Yes...I'm...just ...tired." Haratsu nodded. "I'll scout the sorrounding area. I'l tell you if I see any enemies in sight. " Haratsu ran into the trees. Sartre was resting under the shade of a tree. "Serifina, are you all right?"
Aiko nodded and got up from the floor. "Yes, I'm okay.Are you okay?" She asked Nami. She looked towards Raven. "I would rather not...I saw something......something s-scary in there...i-it had green cat-eyes, and it was the same height as me........I....was....alone....and..........terrified!!! I was ready to scream myself hoarse."
Aiko heard Serifina calling her. "Coming!!" She caught up to her a few seconds later. "You need something?" She asked worriedly. Haratsu was still trying to catch up to them. He finally reached them and sat down next to Aiko. "What does she need?" Sartre was beside Serifina. He looked both concerned and worried.
OOC: Lolz....:) BIC: Aiko woke up, lying on the floor. She stood up, wobbled, and fell down on her knees. She had never felt so weak in her life. 'My head...it hurts....what happened.....' Then she remembered the monsters attacking her, Lavara, and Raven. She looked up in alert. "Raven...." She trembled. She definetely didn't want to be stuck in a scary place all alone. Clinging to the wall, she got up. She bagan searching for Raven and Lavara. 'They are probably at the headmaster's office...' She bagan walking towards the office. She heard a growl behind her. She looked back, and saw 2 green cat-like eyes. Without further hesitation, she ran towards the office, not stopping to take a breath. OOC: I know it's long...but yeah...it will make up for the days I haven't been here...I had lots o' HW. *sigh*
Aiko was worried about Serifina. She bit her lower lip. Haratsu was beside Aiko. "What's wrong with your friend...or is she always like this?" Aiko sighed and pushed him away. "If your here to make things worse for us,then leave." She muttered to him. "I'm not here to make things worse. I'm just here to help you guys...is that too much to ask?" Aiko ran towards the explosion once more. She saw Serifina in front of her, and hurried to catch up. Sartre was also running towards the explosion.
Sartre came beside Serifina. "What's the matter?! Serifina....what's wrong??!!" He was worried about her. Aiko was running towards Serifina. "Serifina!! What happened??!!" She chanted a few words, and produced a vial. "Here, maybe this will work. It's used to cure aching pains around the body." Haratsu was also worried about Serifina. "What's wrong with her?!"
Aiko lifted Serifina off of the ground using her stems. "You okay?? How did you stumble?? We didn't see anything hit you..." Haratsu caught up with everyone minutes later. "Thank for waiting for me..." Haratsu said gasping for air. "We weren't waiting for you...Serifina fell or was knocked down...if she wasn't..we would still be running." Haratsu sneered. "That's enough you two....Serifina..are you okay??"
Aiko screamed a shrill sound. A loud bang was heard, and whatever it was scurried away from the twins and headed towards Lavara. "W-WHAT IS T-THAT T-THING???!!!" Aiko tried to wake up her sister. Tears began to fall from her eyes. "R-Raven...Wake Up! W-Wake up!!" *sob*
Haratsu looked both confused and annoyed. "Flirt??? As if..." He mumbled something that no one else heard. He started running towards the explosion. "Wait for me!!" Aiko rubbed her head. "Ow...what did I do?!" She took out her sword, just in case there would be a monster. She ran following Serifina. Sartre was behind Serifina. "See anything dangerous?" He called out to her.
