Yep, it's true, we're getting off topic. My opinion about the yellow eyes has already been said, so we can only wait 'till we found out something about it (or not) :P

I've gotta admit that's a confussing scene :P There was a time where I even thought the one who is already in the beach, was Ansem the wise, 'cause he's sitting like in the end of BBS, but it didn't make any sense...
And the one in the coat, who came out of the corridor of darkness... it's not really clear if it's Roxas (he never went to the dark shore in 358/2, neither talked to Xemnas about Sora...), but I assume, as they were still planing KH II, that it's him...

Ok, I get it with Ansem the Wise, but what about the rest? Ansem SoD/Terranort, Vanitas, BBS Xehanort, Saix, Xigbar... They all are consumed by darkness, and have yellow eyes... it can't be just a coincidence.
On the other hand, if Ansem the Wise always had amber eyes, that doesn't mean that the theory is wrong, it just don't apply to him...
And I'll add two things:
First, look at Isa/Saix. His eyes turned yellow after beign consumed by darkness

And the other thing: in the first KH secret ending, "Deep dive", Roxas appears in the "Dark Coastline", and in that version, he has yellow eyes too. Later, when they made KH II, they changed this, but you can't think it was just a mere coincidence.

I was beggining to think I was crazy about the eyes changing because of the darkness :P when I found it in the KH wiki (http://kingdomhearts.wikia.com/wiki/Realm_of_Darkness in the "KH II: Corridor of Darkness" section)

"Anyone who has traveled in darkness for too long would show a few physical traits: their skin darkens and their eyes turn amber. This is especially true for Xehanort, the vessel that make his Thirteen Darknesses both have tan skin and amber eyes. In the case of Ansem the Wise as he only has amber eyes."

They don't state what's the source of the info, and I found that it's a fan theory, so it can be false. But look at Xehanort. In BBS, he has tan skin, then he takes Terra's body, and in KH, he has tan skin again... so it could be due to the corridors of darkness. Ansem the wise has darker skin while he is DiZ (and his skin magically goes pale when he takes off the bandages xD ). And I think that works for eyes going amber too...

Nomura once told why was that. If I remember correctly, the more they expose to the Corridors of Darkness, the more their eyes turn yellow. So, basically, it has something to do with the darkness getting inside them.
You can add Ansem the wise to the list of the ones whose eyes change color

Just finished it. It seemed to me that the survey was more based on KH 2.5, than the next installment (KH III or other)... What do you think?

In the deviantart comments, someone told me that there is a similar scene in the KH 358/2 manga (about the hot climate) , I will have to check it out :P

Well, we can't blame Nomura either. I mean, we could say that it's pretty well planned after all. Maybe not the entire saga was in his mind back in 2002, but some of the Roxas plot was in the Secret ending in the first game, and the keyblade war in the Ansem's reports, the ancient tale telling that the worlds once banished in darkness, and some other things that were used in BBS to make it more solid..
And those "A-ha!" moments are one of the things that I like the most of the KH games :P

Yup, I mostly agree with hatok.. BBS was planned as the "sequel" of KH II (not the storyline sequel, but the next game to work on). KH 358/2 was planned after that.. as a way to exploit the KH universe a little more :/
I mean, I liked the game, but lets get serious, all the Xion plot was a little bit forced to get in the storyline, but to not change the main plot, explaining that Xion was forgotten by everyone...
We know Nomura's works. If he had Xion in mind, he would have putted some clues in KH II (remember Roxas in the secret ending of the first game).
And that drawing.. I don't think its Xion. The left-one could be Saix for the color of the hair, but to put Xion beside him, who hated her, in an attitude that's not Xion's...
Anyways, that's my opinion :P

Remember that Xehanort/Xemnas was "duplicated" as well. And in the "Director's Secret Report", Nomura says that those three are special nobodies. So there must be someting hidden behind that line :P
